This is a U.S. remake of a British show of the same name (perhaps one of more of our British poster has seen the original version).
The plot revolves around a married couple from New York City, Samantha and Jay Arondekar (Rose McIver and Utkarsh Ambudkar), who inherit a country house when Sam's aunt passes away. Sam falls in love with the place and wants to turn it into a Bed And Breakfast.
However, what Sam and Jay are unaware of is that the place is full of ghosts. Here is a list of said ghosts, from Wikipedia:

Brandon Scott Jones as Captain Isaac Higgintoot, an American Revolutionary officer who died of dysentery two weeks after the siege of Fort Ticonderoga and is a footnote in history.
Richie Moriarty as Pete Martino, a Girl Scout leader who died in 1985 from being shot through the neck with an arrow.
Asher Goodman as Trevor, the most recently deceased of the ghosts, a wealthy, hard-partying Wall Street trader who died not wearing pants. Unlike the other ghosts, he can interact with the physical world by putting great effort into moving small objects or pressing buttons.
Rebecca Wisocky as Hetty Woodstone, the lady of the manor, the original owner of the Woodstone country estate.
Sheila Carrasco as Susan Montero, a.k.a Flower, a hippie who died while trying to befriend a wild bear. She has the power to put a living person in a trance, as if under the influence of marijuana, if she passes though them.
Danielle Pinnock as Alberta Haynes, a flamboyant Prohibition-era jazz singer who died from drinking poisoned moonshine. Her singing can be heard by the living.
Roman Zaragoza as Sasappis, a cynical Lenape Native American.
Devan Chandler Long as Thorfinn, a Viking and the oldest of the ghosts who died of a lightning strike.

In the pilot episode, Sam accidentally falls down some stairs (due to the activities of the ghosts) and is in a coma for a few days. When she wakes up, she discovers that she can now see and hear all the ghosts. Basically, Sam now has the same abilities as Melinda Gordon (Jennifer Love Hewitt) had on Ghost Whisperer (except Melinda was born with her ability, of course).
The premise is that the one of the ghosts will often come to Sam and ask her to help them with something. And Sam will do it, even through hilarity often results (as no one else can see the ghosts). Some people think that Sam is crazy.
This show airs Thursday nights at 9:00 on CBS, if anyone is interested (here in Canada, it airs on Global at the same time).
I really am enjoying this show. It has been picked up for a second season.
Samantha Arondekar reminds me of Melinda Gordon in many ways. She has an ability that no one else has, and has to cover for it many times. Like in the case of Melinda's husband, Jim Clancy, Sam's husband, Jay, knows about what she can do. He has to cover for her sometimes, when the ghosts start talking and Sam answers them.
GW was a good show, and this show kind of brings back memories of it.
