'Superman & Lois' Renewed for Season 3 at The CW

Fans of the Man of Steel will be delighted to learn that Superman & Lois is returning for a new season at The CW. This announcement comes alongside a slew of other renewals as the network prepares for the 2022-2023 programming season. Since its debut, Superman & Lois has been a success for the network with fans praising the new iteration of the iconic hero and critics appreciating the optimism and sincerity of the show. Additionally, given the network’s commitment to the ‘Arrowverse’ shows, this renewal does not come as a surprise.


Alongside, Superman & Lois, other shows to be renewed included Riverdale, Walker, Nancy Drew, Kung Fu, All American and fellow Arrowverse show, The Flash. Addressing The CW’s 2022-2023 programming slate, chairman and CEO of the network, Mark Pedowitz, referred to the renewed shows as “the start of a solid foundation” for the network’s future. He also acknowledged that the renewed shows were some of The CW’s “most-streamed and socially-engaged programming,” citing their importance to the network’s overall digital strategy as a result.

As if, nobody here expected this. Nice, it's official. And the Flash was renewed too. I do think Legends of Tommorw will come back for a final season. Batwoman and or Naomi could be canceled. It might depend how the Gotham Knights series does and if its picked up.

Yes, so expected. It and Walker are their highest rated shows.

Like you, I can see Legends ending next season. Eight seasons is a good number. Could be the Flash too. Its entering Season 9.

Both, Batwoman and Naomi are duds (gave up on the first, the second isn't my show). Not well received (Naomi I hear is ratings so bad, it could the worst CW show yet). I can see CW canceling one of them to make room for Gotham Knights.

It was a given that S&L would be renewed.

Interesting that the Charmed Reboot wasn't mentioned.  Of course, it's barely started it's new season.

Yes it wasn't, neither was Batwoman. I do think there's a chance CW might cancel one of the shows not already renewed. Typically, CW has been renewing everything for quite a number of years. To not see some renewed already. I think it will depend on what new shows they pick up.  But, some of the ones not mentioned, might get final season orders. We'll have to wait and see.

It is. That can't be a good sign. It ended while everything else is still going.

Maybe it is in danger of being cancelled. I haven't kept up, but was S3's finale written as a cliffhanger.
