Yeah, well, after such a long reign there should be respect for the Queen. She served her country well and remained neutral all the time.

Well said. Yeah, so many can't stand the Royal Family. I won't go into detail about the horrible things I've read and the conspiracy theories that people spew about why they hate them. But you just can't please everybody. She meant so much and did so much for 70 years. I totally get why so many want to pay their respects even for a few seconds while being told to move along.

I agree. She deserves respect for all those decades of hard work.

Coverage has started for the funeral of the Queen today.
Mum is having fun with me pointing out world leaders appearing on screen one by one. Most world leaders gathering in one place in I don't know how long.
Big day today for the UK. Don't think I'll see it all as it might go too long. Plus it'll be going into the early hours. According to my guide it goes until our time of 2am.

I watched it partly myself but not from the start. Our channels are in tune with the BBC and other channels worldwide.
Good bye Elizabeth!

A lovely ceremony, honouring a great woman, Queen Elizabeth II, who selflessly served for 70 years.
Among the world leaders was the current Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau.

Mum and I watched some of the coverage but not all of it then.
There's talk already about where Elizabeth's statue will be erected in London once it's made then.
A lot of people were surprised to see Canadian actress Sandra Oh at the funeral who people didn't know was recently made an officer of Canada or something.

Caught some of the coverage. One of my friends who is a bigger Royal fan than I am went and stood in the crowd to see some of the it.
My mother felt Princess Anne deserves a huge respect for being there for her mother every step of the way with the journey of her coffin. A royal rarely spoken about in the media. A woman who rarely displays her emotions, My mum and I were so touched by the heartbreak on her face. But she carried on, escorting the queen's coffin home through days of ceremonies in Scotland and in London leading up to the funeral Monday at Windsor Castle. She had the biggest role even over her brothers I hear every single step of the way.
I remember last year hearing she was named the year's hardest working royal with 387 engagements, followed closely by her brother, then the Prince of Wales.
Too bad shes 16th in line. Anne is 16th in line to the throne even though she is the second of the late queen's four children. That's because she was born before a new law was passed in 2013, changing the rules for the succession so that it is based on birth order, NOT gender, known as male primogeniture.
I heard Sandra Oh was there. Lots of surprises

Caught some of it before going to bed. Great send off to the Queen. I did spot some of the world leaders including my own. Sandra OH surprised me too.
Yeah I saw an article stating from Balmoral to her final resting place at Windsor Castle, Princess Anne was with the Queen's coffin every step of the way. Too bad the succession of the throne rules didn't change until recently. I had no idea her younger brothers are ahead of her despite being second oldest. Glad it's changed regardless of gender now.
May she rest in peace now.

Caught the start then went to bed. As timezone the entire funeral ran through the early hours here. But from waking up I caught the highlights online.
Lovely service. Now the Queen can rest in peace.
We'll be having our own memorial thing to honour her on Thursday which begins the long weekend. We have a public holiday already on Friday well in my state for the football grand finale this weekend. So just opted to add it to a long weekend. They also needed to give everyone more notice for businesses.

If we didn't have that this same week, It likely would've been on Tuesday (today). So it's a four day weekend Thursday to Sunday.

As an animal lover, anybody get sad seeing The Queen’s corgis and one of her ponies and her two dogs were led out to witness the procession at Windsor. I wonder who will take them in now.

As an animal lover, anybody get sad seeing The Queen’s corgis and one of her ponies and her two dogs were led out to witness the procession at Windsor. I wonder who will take them in now. I remember watching this exact moment on the coverage of her funeral and it's both heartwarming and sad at the same time. Heartwarming because they allowed the Corgis and Emma (the horse) to say goodbye to the Queen for the last time and sad because for one thing, the Corgis are ending up with Prince Andrew of all people (IMO, I think Fergie should have had both Corgis, the dogs seem to trust her more than her ex-husband considering that it was Fergie who was one of the constant companions of the Queen when she'd take the Corgis out for a walk). I don't know who ended up getting custody of Emma though, probably Princess Anne because of the Princess' history of raising horses.
