It's the same with families, especially people who have children that go to school. They come before anyone's job of course and if someone's called up because their son or daughter is unwell or has been suspended for whatever reason then bosses must find cover for, said employee if that can be done or in certain cases get stuck in themselves if cover can't be found.
At my local bingo hall, the manager there has called out the numbers or even read security digits of people's papers if they have a claim many times when the place has been short-staffed before which normal employees do themselves.
Bank holidays, polling, and inset days are another issue when schools and certain childcare provisions are closed like the YMCA and parents have no one to look after their children so they either now work from home or will have to take the day off which employers by law are obliged to do.

Thanks for the support, guys. Yes, I know families have the children on priority first which I also understand completely. If they are sick and all.
Remember my accident two weeks ago? Yeah, my upper body still doesn't feel well from time to time and I take some pills but still it hurts. Therefore I'm going to my doctor tomorrow morning again. My boss knows about it. Thankfully.

I hope you get better soon Jana.
At home, my mum has a problem concerning our boiler which keeps going up and down temperature-wise. She tried ringing my uncle a few times who works on those to come to have a look but he wasn't answering so she called out for someone to take a look themselves.
They said mum would need a new boiler and a new wash basin for underneath our sink which has a leak that we know of there.
The estimate for the work was £4,040 with mum needing to transfer a £1,000 deposit into the business's bank account tonight of course.
For the work to be done that would take 3 days overall.
My friend thought mum was charged too much and so said to get a second opinion.
Mum managed to get hold of my uncle who said that did sound like the company was gonna rip her off and so told mum he'd ring an ex-colleague he knew who would come and have a look tomorrow morning himself.
He might be able to fix the problem with the boiler instead of getting a new one otherwise to put in a new one including labor costs and everything the whole thing could be £2,000 total less than what the other company wanted.
I said if this man's reliable mum should put his phone number in our address book for future reference if any problems arise or to use him to service the boiler once a year then.

Ouch. Yeah, heard of such guys as well here in Germany. Lucky for me, I haven't met those yet. Good luck!

Thanks, Tim.
My uncle's friend came round and she explained the problem about our boiler to him before he turned on the heating.
The man said the temperature was rising too quickly at the start so the pump needs replacing. He also said a full service would be offered as well then.
Mum mentioned the problem we have underneath our sink secondly which the guy looked at subsequently.
For the pump, service, and sink fix he's charging us £300 total a lot better than the £4,000 the other company wanted.
The other people came this morning but mum turned them away saying she'd got another person to come to have a look at her boiler instead.
They left with one of them ringing our house from their car touting two radiators that needed replacing also which wasn't spoken about yesterday but mum still turned them away.
My uncle's friend commented they were just trying to fleece work off us especially, mum being a pensioner on her own at the time they first came actually.

Sounds like you and your mum had a narrow escape there Katherine, definitely trying to scam their way into a big payout. Scumbags.

Cool, your Mom managed that well. So, I'm ill for a week. Need to take pills and relax for the time being. No biking and perfectly, no work!

Yes, it was a lucky escape concerning our boiler then.
On a frustrating note. I got mosquito bitten a couple of days ago in 4 places on my right leg and one underneath my left leg.
They itch constantly despite applying cream which bugs me.
Don't know how I got them but wish they'd go away and my legs heal quickly because I hate scratching multiple times in the day even though you shouldn't do that obviously.

Yeah, I can imagine. That's not easy. My skin is too dry that I also have to be careful here, with all my allergies.

We're heading into fall. Mosquitoes shouldn't be a problem much longer.

Hopefully, yes. It's the first time this year I've gotten bitten so I shouldn't be ungrateful I guess and the itching cream does help after a while once applied. I just have to learn not to scratch my legs else I could make the affected areas spread or last longer and not heal obviously but it's so damn hard not to urge to scratch them naturally.

I know what you mean.
My left side under my breast still hurts from time to time, even when sneezing or taking a breath. We shall see then!
