Supposedly the church in the episode title has some significance regarding Ruby whether that be where she goes on Sunday if she's religious or something similar happened to her like Paige from Charmed which the Xmas special will address I guess.

Makes sense that Ruby wouldn't know what a police box was.  Se was born a few decades too late (Millie was born in 2004).

So, Goblins.  They turned cartwheels to avoid saying they were magic.

When the Goblins break into song, the sound cuts out, for some reason.  A copyright thing?

I'm sure others have said this, but the Goblin King reminds me of Jabba The Hutt.   Expected him to freeze the Doctor in carbonate and hang him on the wall.  Only thing missing was Boba Fett!

And the Goblins just...disappear!?

Would a Christmas star have really killed that lady?

And the Doctor and Ruby are off on their adventures.

Interesting that old lady neighbour seemed to know what a TARDIS is.

I attuned what happened with the Goblin King to the '80s film The Labyrinth somewhat in terms of the plot although different in that he just ate babies instead.

The 15th Doctor and Ruby's onscreen chemistry was something I enjoyed and just him generally so it will be interesting to see how that plays out essentially.

I do wonder if Mrs Flood is the person the Toymaker was talking about being scared of though some fans have speculated she possibly could be an older version of Susan perhaps then.

Another theory that's popped up is how Ruby could be Rose Tyler and the alternate universe Doctor's daughter with Rose being the woman walking away from the church but I don't see how that's possible of course.
