So their getting married then? Good.
Wonder if the wedding will science, sci-fi or superhero themed?

Leonard and Penny commented on that. They wondered if Sheldon will insist on a wedding with one or all of those themes.

I'm a few episode's behind in season 11, and going to just binge watch them over the Xmas break.
I actually have to say I like the show better when Amy and Bernadette were introduced. I guess because I started watching the show during the hiatus between season 3 and 4, I saw the show differently than the original watchers. The show would of died if they never moved past the original format. Season 4 is actually one of my favourite seasons.
If Amy and Bernadette were phased out or never were introduced, I might have stopped watching. The characters need to grow up and I love all the couples.

Well, it finally happened. Sheldon Lee Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik) became husband and wife on last nights season finale of the Big Bang Theory. It was a long road getting here (and Amy had to have the patience of Job at times, it seemed), but it happened. I'm glad the writers didn't throw in any last minute complications, and let the happy couple close out the season.
There were some nice moments in the episode, where Sheldon and his mother, Mary (Laurie Metcalf) talk about Sheldon's now deceased father (a character you can now see on Young Sheldon). Sheldon's older brother and twin sister were also present, so all the Coopers were there.
And who officiated the wedding, no one other than Mark Hamill (Howard had found Mr. Hamill's pet dog, and Mr. Hamill asked if he could do anything in return). Loved Sheldon's reaction, he looked like he was about to faint! Not every day that Luke Skywalker officiates your wedding.
Loved the bit where, to pass the time while waiting for Sheldon and Amy, Mr. Hamill took Star Wars questions from the guests. Of course, Stuart, the comic book store owner, knew them all. And it looked like he might get lucky with his new employee, Denise.
And, at the end of the following episode of Young Sheldon, adult Sheldon's voice over revealed that he and Amy will have children.
All in all, this was a great way to close out the season. Congrats to Sheldon and Amy!

Ah, that's lovely to hear. Congrats Sheldon and Amy. And to have Luke Skywalker himself officiate their wedding no wonder Sheldon nearly fainted.
Those two really are perfect for one another the way their relationships being portrayed simple not sexualized true to their characters both growing and developing over the years coming out of their shells during the process remembering how both persons had no prior relationship experiences.
Raj and Howard didn't know just how well they'd do setting Sheldon up online season 3.

So it appears no cliffhanger to the season. About time. That so different to see than the typical era of today.

Nope.
Of course, I did get worried that they might throw in something at the last second to derail things. However, thankfully, that didn't happen.

Looks like season 12 will be the final Big Bang Theory meaning no more Sheldon, Leonard, Penny, Raj, Bernadette or Amy. www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-45278187It will be a shame to see the show go but it had a good run while it lasted. Young Sheldon will be on the though obviously.

I wonder if BBT will acknowledge the passing of Stan Lee.
Sheldon, Leonard, Howard, and Raj are big comic collectors after all.
Or at least Stuart (the comic books store owner) should acknowledge it.

When my friend texted me about Stan's passing yesterday evening I actually commented about the Big Bang guys and what they'd think of it.
For Sheldon, I reckon it'll feel like when Stephen Hawking, his barber and Professor Proton went. It'll leave a big gaping hole in his heart because Stan was an important part of his life as he was for Howard, Raj, and Leonard seeing how the characters he created made them feel accepted in their own sense and could accomplish things if the men related to any of them.

And Stan Lee actually did a cameo on an episode of BBT. Sheldon went to his house and hilarity ensued.

Well, it's farewell to The Big Bang Theory.
Sheldon and Amy won the Nobel Prize, and they and the gang head to Sweden to collect it. Of course, Sheldon makes all about him, however, he is freaked out by the changes that this is causing. When a group of reporters mob him and Amy, outside their apartment, Sheldon panics and bolts.
Later, Amy gets a makeover, that Sheldon doesn't like, because it's more change. And, another is that the finally fixed the elevator in their building (in real life, leaving an elevator out of order for so long would never have been allowed). The poor guy doesn't know which way to turn.
Also, we find out that Penny is now pregnant with her and Leonard's first child.
However, Sheldon brushes that news off, making it all about him. Leonard calls him out on that, calling him a selfish jerk.
Later, Amy is brutally honest with Sheldon. She flat out tells him that the only reason he has friends at all is that they have a high tolerance for him. And this makes him think.
When he and Amy accept their prize, Sheldon finally wakes up and realizes that the world does not revolve around him alone. He puts aside this big speech he had and instead acknowledges first his family, and then his second family: Amy, Leonard, Penny, Howard, Bernadette, and Raj. It was a nice way to close out the series.
I must admit, I'm going to miss this gang. The ones that made being a nerd cool!
