Here's one of Wes' movies again. The Immortal Voyage of Captain Drake Synopsis (from IMDB):1592. Four years after England's defeat of the Spanish Armada, tensions still run deep, especially between Sir Francis Drake, "The Queen's Pirate", and his lifelong nemesis, Captain Don Sandovate. An encounter with a mysterious Syrian sultan, however, finds the two men and their crews engaged in a daring race against time, each embarking upon a desperate quest to exotic foreign lands where they face perilous obstacles and untold dangers at every turn. Wes's role name: Peter Easton My review: As a studied historical fan, you have to shake your head here. I know some stories of Sir Francis Drake but I doubt that this would be true. Nice to see the series Highlander Adrian Paul again as Francis Drake, yet Wes obviously played his second in command who loves Drake's daughter. Well, this seems to be more fantasy than reality. I just looked at Drake's Wikipedia entry. Never mind. As said before, Wes has more luck with his series than movies but there might be one exception. P.S. The picture is from Spain or another Spanish speaking country. Not to get confused here! Some pictures again:

Never heard of this one.
But yeah, if historical accuracy is what you're looking for, you better go elsewhere

I wonder what Wes's attempt at a British accent sounded like here if he played a British character that is?

I don't know. Depends on how good said accent is.

So, here we go again. As you may have noticed by now, I follow the year and its airing.
Now we're turning to Drew again and one of my favorites as well. The Kane Files - Life of Trial Summary (from IMDB):Scott Kane (Drew Fuller), a man with a checkered past is trying to live a clean life. When his son Owen falls ill, Kane finds his only option is to turn to Daniel Morgan (William Atherton), the local kingpin of the criminal underworld. Morgan offers to help Kane's family, but double-crosses him. When Morgan tries killing Kane by employing a dirty cop, Jace Olsen (Ethan Embry), Kane escapes from prison to seek his revenge and save his son. With the FBI (William Devane) and Police (Embry) on his tail, Kane must utilize all his deadly skills to save his family and himself. Drew's role name: Scott Kane (main role) My review: That was great because you started with a result and saw in Flashbacks how it came to that, yet if you think the cliché is here done. No way!! You can't decide who's the good guy and the bad guy. I was really torn here. Kane has a shady past and he uses it to get what he wants. A treatment for his ill son. Not easy in America where only money counts. *sighs* That's why he goes to his old contact in the local underworld and well, it backfires badly. Several guys are killed and many swearing words were said. I add another review here because it reflects as well the situation: An indictment of America's health care system ;25 March 2015 | by ScottNichols – See all my reviews
The plot was superb, and the directing inspired. The actors were splendid. I can see why Drew Fuller won Best Actor. I especially enjoyed the performances by Ethan Embry, William Devane, and the young one, Ethan Mouser. I hadn't seen him in other flicks. He should do well. Kid actors amaze me anyway. I don't know how they get them to perform in front of the cameras, director, crew, lights, and other actors.
Even the cinematography was excellent. This is a great thriller and should have had a wider audience.
Oh, about my summary line/title. This movie made me angry. It made me angry because there's so much dark truth in it about America's health care system. Indeed, I think the premise of this movie is an indictment of our health care system, a system that would allow a 6-year-old boy to die because his family can't pay for his treatment. Out health care system is nothing but a g.d. business. No money...no TV. No money...no car. No money...no medical treatment. Scott Kane would not have had to resort to such drastic measures if we took care of our own in this country.
But, then we wouldn't have had this movie, either. Some pictures again:

Sounds like a good movie.
Predicting Trump's Administration before it even existed (this movie was made a year before Trump was elected).

It's a shame because in Britain we have the NHS where anyone can get health care. Sad America doesn't have anything like that too.

Same here in Canada, with our Health Care System.
And this movie was made before Obamacare came in.

Only the review was posted in 2015, yet the movie was made in 2010. I still like the movie.

That's okay, Jana.
Perhaps you should include the year said movie was made when you do your next review.

We continue with Drew since I have three movies of this particular year - 2014. Fatal Instinct Synopsis (from IMDB): A police detective follows a trail of evidence that eventually seems to lead to his trusted partner's ex-con brother who he helped put in prison years ago. Drew's role name: Danny Gates My review: You'll have to wait long before Drew appears in the movie since the main roles are onto Richard Burgi (Dt. Decker, former Sentinel) and Ivan Sergei (Dt. Gates). They look for a serial killer and expect it to be Gates' younger brother, Danny. Still, I seem to think that Drew nowadays loves to play darker roles and also play with his image. Weird though that he and Ivan played uncle and nephew in Charmed and also rivals in Army Wives. If you think you know who the suspect is, then you could be wrong. All is different as you wanted it to see. Some pictures again:

I never knew Ivan was in Army Wives.
Have never seen the show so wouldn't know of course except him and Drew being in Charmed obviously.
