That conversation in the church at the end was an all-time great moment in the series. I have to admit feeling pretty emotional. Might have more to do with only one more episode to go and the maybe series finale?
What did others think?

Yes, it was a nice conversation. And since we may be saying good-bye to Mulder and Scully soon, I enjoyed it. Showed the depths that these two characters have.

Now here's hoping next weeks finale can wrap things up, they only have one hour to do so, unlike The Truth in the then series finale had two hours. But I expect the pace will move by quickly. I just hope Reyes can redeem herself and that Mulder and Scully's son will be safe. |

Exactly after 25 years. This will upset me if it isn't the case next week. I Want to Believe the second film had the best ending for the characters ever, that I'd want that ending recreated with Mulder and Scully sailing the seas together happy, in a post-credit scene.

I wonder what they have planned for her exit. If and I hope we don't get a season 12, how they will finish this season.
I'd hate for Scully and William to go on the run or leave together with Mulder behind. But I'd prefer this to be it, unless they are considering a third and final movie in 2023 for the 30th anniversary, which is only five years away. Maybe Gillian would be willing to return then.
But yeah I hope this is it.

No, no cliffhanger, not this time. As I said, Mulder and Scully deserve that happy ending. They've been through so much, lost so much, they've more than earned their retirement.
