ACT 1: The Underworld - Unmarked Lair
A hooded figure sat in a large throne-like seat. The seat was inscribed with ancient hieroglyphs and scarabs. The small cave was decorated with ancient Egyptian statues and treasures. In the middle of the back wall, on a pedestal, sat a familiar blue urn.
“Come on lady, this has to be enough greed to get you off that ugly jar.” The hooded figure says aloud. Gold particles leave the face of the urn and materialize into a woman dressed in beautiful Egyptian garments. “Its about time.”
“I am the Guardian of the Urn. You have stolen..” She looks around the cave, her mouth opening in the slightest bit of shock. “Many of which that’s not yours. You shall be punished for your greed.” A ring on the Guardian’s index finger transforms into a spider and is transported to the hooded figure’s neck.
A grunt comes from the figure, they move their head and some brown locks of hair fall from the hood, revealing that the figure is a woman. “Ow.” She grabs the spider from her neck and holds it up. “Spiders. Pesky, but dangerous creatures.” She crushes it in her hand.
The Guardian looks up wide-eyed, stunned that her tricks weren’t for kicks. “That’s not possible.”
“Well, I’m not your average being either.” The woman says. “Tell me, you’d do anything to punish those who’re greedy?”
The Guardian grins and nods her head.
“I’ll let you have free rein on the city of San Francisco, I only ask that you aid me in my plan of repossessing something that was taken from me.” The woman says.
“What do I have to do?” The Guardian asks, in an intense but low tone.
San Francisco - Dave’s Minimart - Night
“Put the money in the bag, now!” A robber dressed in all black says. He holds the store clerk at gun point. A ski mask covered his face and it couldn’t be seen. But by the tone of his voice, you could tell it was a man.
“Okay, okay! Just don’t shoot!” Dave, the owner of the minimart, pleads. If it weren’t unfortunate event, by now he would’ve already locked up and gotten to his car.
“Then hurry!” The robber says.
Dave finishes bagging the money and tosses it to the bank robber and ducks down behind the counter.
The bank robber turns on a quick heel and darts out of the store’s glass doors, though he ran so quickly that his wallet was slung from his coat pocket. It fell and opened when hitting the floor. Inside, only the name of the man could be seen..John Kresington.
San Francisco - Unnamed Street - Night
Outside, John had made it almost a block from the store he’d just robbed but he stops when golden particles appear in front of him.
The particles take the form of the Guardian and John is stunned. “What are you?”
“I am the Guardian of the Urn, but as of the moment, you can call me the Punisher of the Greedy.” The Guardian says. Having changed her name temporarily to suit her new assignment.
“What?” John asks.
A pin on the Punisher’s gold shawl transforms into a scorpion. She grabs it and places it on John’s upper chest, pushing him just enough to get him off his feet..
“Aah!” He screams and stumbles backwards into some trash cans. He falls against them in a slightly obtuse-sitting position. He screams in fear as he feels the scorpion crawl up his chest. He freezes when the scorpion stings him with its tail. At an instant, he dies and the Punisher smiles with delight.
She puts out her hand and the scorpion teleports into her hand. She sits the scorpion on her shawl and it transforms back into the initial pin it was. She looks around to make sure the coast was still clear, before she teleported away.
A close-up on John’s face shows that his eyes blink twice and he slowly moves his body around. Once he gets his head on straight, he stands up and runs off. Leaving behind..his body..where he died.

Act 1 - CONTIUNED: San Francisco - Matthews-Mitchell House - Kitchen - Morning
Pip is sitting at the kitchen table talking with his aunt Paige Matthews. Paige has a mug of coffee and Pip has a glass of sweet tea in front of him.
“Pip, I know you want to spend time with your mother and I know she wants to as well.” Paige says, reassuringly to her nephew.
“Was she always this work driven?” Pip asks.
“Well, I don’t know if she was before I arrived but during our witch days..she was. Especially after Cole.” Paige says the name of the demon with venom on her tongue.
“Whoa, that was a change in attitude.” Pip says, having noticed the shift in Paige’s voice when she said the name. “Who’s Cole?”
Paige stills. “He was..uh..he was your mom’s demonic ex-husband.” She says, hoping the conversation would change.
“Mom married a demon?” Pip asks in disbelief.
“Yes." Paige answers. "Your aunt Piper once told me, “you’re not a Halliwell, until you've dated evil.”” She says quoting her older sister’s words from way back when.
“I’m guessing she dated a demon?” Pip says.
“Yeah, according to your mom, Piper’s first love was a warlock.” Paige says.
“Get out!" Pip exclaims. "Are you serious?”
Paige nods. “Though that was before my time.”
“At least you were here for most of what Mom and Aunt Piper did. I missed all eight years.”
“At least you weren’t adopted.” Paige says.
“Aunt Paige, I didn’t mean..” Pip starts to apologize.
“I know what you meant, Pip. If you haven’t realized, we are alike.” Paige says.
“What do you mean?” Pip asks. As far as he was concerned, he didn’t have whitelighter abilities like his Aunt Paige. Unless there’s more to his father than he knew.
“We both have step-sisters. I was born from your grandma and her whitelighter, as your aunts were born from a different father.”
“Ohh..I get it. P.J., Parker, Brianna and I were born from the same mother, but different fathers.” Pip looks down and then back up at his aunt. “I guess we are alike.” He smiles and it turns into a mischievous one. “Did you date anyone evil?”
“Actually..I have.” Paige says.
“Who?”
“The Source of All Evil..? Give or take.”
“The Source of All Evil?” Pip asks. “Wow, that name’s really original.” Sarcasm escapes in Pip’s words.
“Well, he was the demonic ruler of the Underworld. Piper, Phoebe and I vanquished the Source…three times.”
“Then why would you..?” Pip gets out but is cut off by Paige.
“He possessed my first official boyfriend, Shane. The Source tried to turn me to the side of evil.” Paige says. “When we saved Shane, he and I..ended on not-so-good terms.”
“Does Uncle Henry know?” Pip asks.
“Do I know what?” Henry Mitchell asks, walking into the kitchen. On his back was Henry Mitchell Junior.
“Pip!” The young child screeches and hops off of his father’s back and runs to his oldest cousin.
“Junior!” Pip greets the child. He pulls the seven-year-old onto his lap. “How’s my littlest cousin doing?”
“The Tooth Fairy came last night and took my tooth! I found five dollars under my pillow this morning.” Junior exclaims with glee.
“Five dollars! That’s so cool!” Pip says to the child. “If you save it, you can get more and buy something really cool.”
“Like what?” Junior asks.
“Whatever you want. Maybe the coolest toy that’s come out.” Pip says. Junior was adorable, Pip couldn’t deny that, no one could really. Paige and Henry smile as they watch their adopted son interact with his eldest cousin.
“Oh Pip, do you think you could get a premonition off of this.” Henry asks, pulling a small zip-lock bag from his back pocket. Inside the bag is the same wallet that John Kresington lost the night before.
“I could try.” Pip says, receiving the bag from Henry. “But why though?”
“This guy, the owner of the wallet, robbed a mini-mart last night; however he was found dead just a block from the mart.” Henry says.
“Aren’t you a parole officer?” Pip asks.
“That’s not the point. This guy was killed from a scorpion sting.” Henry says, a bit agitated. "The whole station is talking about it."
“A scorpion?” Paige asks. “In San Francisco?”
“That’s how I reacted but then again I’m married to a witch, whose family is full of witches.” Henry says. “This has to have magic written all over it.”
Pip takes the wallet from inside the zip-lock bag and opens the wallet. He sees the ID and the last name. “John Kresington…oh my god.”
Before he can say anything else, Pip gasps as he is sucked into a premonition.
John is stung by a scorpion in the neck and he dies. Moments later, he gets back up and runs off..leaving behind his body.
The premonition ends.
“Pip had a pwemonition! That’s the coolest power!” Junior exclaims. His pronunciation of bigger words for his age, was still in development; so some of his R's still sound like W's.
“Junior, why don’t you go and get ready for school.” Henry tells his son.
“But Daaadd!” Junior says, not really wanting to leave the room at the moment.
“Junior..” Henry warns.
“Finee.” Junior spats out with an attitude.
“Wow, just like his mother.” Pip says.
Paige rolls her eyes as Henry chuckles. “Watch it, mister.” Pip grins and raises his hands in surrender. “Now what did you see in your premonition?” She asks.
Pip’s grin disappears quickly. “I saw Mr. Kresington get up from where he died and run off, leaving behind his body. Not a ghost though, otherwise he wouldn’t have died.” Pip says.
“That’s not all is it?” Henry asks. “You seemed surprised when you saw his ID.”
Pip looks back and forth between his uncle and aunt. “John Kresington…his last name is the same as my friend, Eddie’s. You remember him, one of the witches who I’m destined to fight evil beside.”
“You know Eddie?” Henry asks.
Pip rolls his eyes. “Were you not just listening? Eddie is one my best friends, how do you suppose I tell him that his father has returned home.”
Paige looks sincerely at Pip. “And that he’s already started trouble.”
Pip looks at his Aunt Paige with a small smile. “My point exactly.”
“Unless he finds Eddie and Ms. Kresington first.” Henry says.
Pip sighs and puts his head down on the table. He lifts back up with a frown. “The only thing I want to know is: why his father is coming back now? Isn’t it kind of suspicious that he’s going to reappear in Eddie’s life, as soon as he's became a Blessed One.”
Paige picks at her cuticles. “Phoebe told me that when she, Piper, and Prue first became witches. Their father, your grandpa Victor, came back and tried to take the Book of Shadows. Though he was being manipulated by the shapeshifting neighbors.”
“You think he’s going to try and steal the Book?” Henry asks his wife.
“That doesn’t make sense, how could he even know of it.” Pip says. “No, there has to be something else to this.”
“Well, until you can find out why he’s come back; you’re gonna have to tell Eddie about this.” Henry says.
Pip groans. “This sucks, I wish knew what John is thinking, then go from there and protect Eddie’s heart from being broken a second time.”
“Be careful what you wish for.” Paige warns her nephew. “You never know what might happen when you wish aloud.” Pip looks at her in confusion. “Never mind.”
Pip sighs. “I wish I could stay longer but I have to get back to the Manor and get ready for school. Aunt Piper will be leaving to take Wyatt and Chris to school soon.” He stands up and gives his aunt and uncle a quick hug.
“Bye Pip.” Henry says.
“Have a great day Pip and good luck with Eddie.” Paige says.
“Thanks, I’ll see you all later.” Pip says and scurries out of the kitchen. Paige and Henry hear the front door of the house, open and close.
A small frown forms on Paige’s face. “He’s coming into magic so fast.”
“Like you did?” Henry asks. Paige nods at his words. Henry exhales and wraps both of his arms around his wife. “All we can do to help him is be there to support him. All you and your sisters can do is guide him. Protecting the innocent from evil is the mission of the Blessed Ones now, you know what the Elders said.”
“Yeah, they’re offering to remove Piper, Phoebe and I from the demonic radar and make it so we can pursue completely normal lives. They said they can cloak our husbands and all of the kids.”
“Have you three decided?” Henry asks.
“We’re going to talk to them today, we have a few terms we’d like to settle first.” Paige says and kisses Henry.
“Come on, lets make sure the kids are ready for school.” Henry says, with a smile. Paige chuckles and the both of them leave the kitchen, hand-in hand.
END OF ACT 1
ACT 2: San Francisco - Baker High School - Miss Hickock’s English Classroom - Second Period
“Quiet, everyone! When you hear your name, just say ‘present’” Miss Hickock says. She had been working at Baker since the first Halliwell family member, Prudence Halliwell to be exact, came walking through the doors of the school. She was there when Piper Halliwell came through as well as when Phoebe Halliwell crossed her path. She hated that girl, now a grown woman, who was a famous advice columnist. If you asked her, she would say Phoebe was filling San Francisco with lies as Mrs. Halliwell couldn’t even take her own advice in high school. She obviously’d never change as she managed to ruin her own high school reunion as all the attendees began to act like wild hooligans. She hated that night, thanks to Phoebe, she had to stay behind to handle the consequences of what transpired because several arrests were made. “Henry Benson!” Miss Hickock calls out.
“Here.” Henry says with a yawn. Henry was the leader of his friends, a team of four including his self. They were the school’s bullies and they mainly targeted those who called their self a “Loser.” He had new prey now that the new kid had joined the Losers. Yet it was hard for him to even think of causing pain in the new kid’s life because he was so exhausted. His father had tasked him with several back-breaking yard chores, the day before. To top it off, his father barely gave him any time to recuperate. He groans and retrieves his phone from a pocket of his faded-blue jeans, sliding the screen up to reveal the small keyboard and decides to lose himself in the world of instant messaging.
“Greta Brewer.” Miss Hickock continues to call the attendance.
“Present.” Greta was the female, but almost opposite version of Henry. She was the popular girl, the one who always ran for prom queen and student president. She didn’t care if she was considered the stereotypical Mean Girl, she got to be feared by the lower ranks of students, especially that scum..Beverly Carson. She still remembers having Bethany dump a bag of watery trash on Beverly in the bathroom. It was humiliating and hilarious. Those Losers were roaches in her eyes—disgusting little pests who could be squished and taken down easily.
As Miss Hickock proceeds to call roll, Pip looks to the desk on his right where his friend and fellow Blessed One, Eddie Kresington, sits. Eddie was trying to finish up a math worksheet consisting of complex algebraic equations, but was having a hard time with it. Math wasn’t Eddie’s excelling subject, for Pip..it was.
“The answer is A.” Pip says, casually sliding his worksheet on Eddie’s desk.
“What?” Eddie asks, looking at Pip. He looks at Pip’s worksheet and then back at Pip. “Dude, no, I’m not going to cheat.”
“It's not a test and the least I can do is help you keep your grades up since you and Bev did come to my rescue with the Grimlocks.” Pip says, reassuringly.
Eddie sighs and gives in. “Just this once.” Pip nods and Eddie begins to copy the answers from Pip’s worksheet. Flipping his pencil around, every so often to erase his marks that were a wrong answer. Math was one of Pip’s best subjects, besides music, and yes he was also good in other school subjects but not as good as his abilities in math or music.
“Pyper Muniz-Halliwell.” Miss Hickock calls out, slowing stretching the Halliwell part with spite. After Phoebe, she was done putting up with the Halliwells and decided, for her sake, to deal with the next Halliwell to enter her line of sight before it was too late.
“Present.” Pip says, raising his hand. “And it's just Pip.”
“You made it today, figured you would’ve been absent like the last three days without an excuse.” Miss Hickock says. “Two more days and you would've beat your mother’s record of a five ditched school days.”
“I was in New York, getting the rest of my belongings from my Dad’s apartment.” Pip explains. It wasn’t technically a lie, he did retreat to his home-state to get the rest of his belongings. But was also there to explain to his father that he was a witch like his mother. His father had taken it slightly well until a little bit of anger slipped and he threw his coffee mug across the living room, shattering it and the body of a lamp to bits. Though at the end of that day, his father was okay and assured that he would stand by his son every step of the way.
“Mhm..sure. You know its wrong to lie.” Miss Hickock accuses.
“Excuse me?” Pip asks, actually confused.
Miss Hickock walks around her desk, her fingers sliding along the surface of her desk. “Your mother, Phoebe Halliwell, was the worst student I’d ever had the pleasure of teaching. She’s the 1993 nightmare. One of many students to earn the yearly title of the most disrespectful, undisciplined brat to ever walk through the doors of this school. You see that's a thing some of us teachers like to do. Anyway, you'll understand why I'm so skeptical of you, Mr. Halliwell. You are the spawn of that year's nightmare, so I only assume that you'll be the same way.”
Pip scoffs. “With all due respect, my mother is the best mother I could’ve ever asked for. Yes, she left me in New York when I was baby. But she had very good reason and I have forgiven her already.”
“And what reason was that, Mr. Halliwell?” Miss Hickock intrigued.
Pip quietens, he looks down at his feet.
“Mr. Halliwell?” Miss Hickock inquires. All eyes were on Pip, including those of his friends. She leans against the front of her desk. “Class won’t continue until you give me an answer.”
“I don’t know. I haven’t been able to spend enough time with her to find out.”
“I see. Perhaps you should try and find time.” Miss Hickock says.
“I’m trying. She’s been consumed by her job to even give me a chance.” Pip explains, his eyes glued to his feet.
“Classic Phoebe. Ignorance is a bliss.” Miss Hickock says. "She’s scared to accept you."
“Of all people, how would you know?” Pip asks, with genuine interest.
“I may hate Phoebe Halliwell, but I still read her column which has been full of child-centered topics lately.” Miss Hickock says. "I’ve also been through a similar situation to what you're dealing with. Just give her a chance to accept this new change.”
Everyone in the classroom watches with mild interest, most of the kids had their faces buried in their phones. Other were zoned out or trying to complete unfinished assignments.
“Thanks.” Pip’s sense of morality becomes baffled. “Why are you helping me, don’t you hate my mother?”
“Greatly, remember this isn’t for you. I’m doing this for me.” Miss Hickock remarks. “If your relationship with your mother gets fixed, perhaps I may be spared of terrorization from the spawn of Ask Freebie.”
Pip exhales. “Trust me, the last thing I want to do cause any trouble.”
“Good. I’ll hold you to that then.” Miss Hickock says. “Because the student president campaign start in two weeks, I presume you’ll be running for that?”
“Yes I will, actually.” Pip says, pridefully.
“What?!” Greta asks, dropping her phone on her desk and sharply turning around to face Pip.
“Pip, what are you doing?” Eddie asks, concerned for his friend’s social standing. “If you go through with this, you’ll be a major target for Henry, Greta and their friends.”
Pip ignoring Eddie, looks to Greta and makes a retort. “You heard me, Greta. I’m running for student body president.” He says with confidence. “I’m not scared to run against you, I’ve went up against worse before.”
Greta scoffs and grunts. “Ooh, you just made your worst enemy.”
“This is going to be very interesting and probably very hilarious.” Miss Hickock says. Can she be blamed for feeling that way? No. Literally, any movie or TV show featuring kids fighting for seats of power always got out of hand and the consequences were her favorite part. Discipline is an important concept and it's what makes the world go round. Without it, the entire planet would be in utter chaos and that's a fact...Hollywood usually raises the exaggeration level but real life would most likely come close to, if not completely, the extremity that Hollywood portrays.
Pip and Greta stare daggers at the other until Greta finally breaks her glare, standing up from her desk with her belongings and she storms out of the classroom. Two of her friends quickly follow her out of the room.
“Pip, I hate to say this..but you have no idea what you just got yourself into.” Bev warns. Beverly was sitting at the desk to Pip’s left, doodling pictures of herself, Pip and Eddie fighting and vanquishing demons together.
“Actually, I think I do.” Pip says, having been satisfied with Greta’s outburst. Call him immature, but sometimes school bullies need to learn their true place and the outcomes of their actions. Greta might believe she owns the title of student president each election, but now that he's running...there would be some changes to Baker High and one of those would be the bully problem.
Baker High School - Parking Lot/Miss Hickock’s English Classroom/Boys’ Restroom
Sitting in the driver’s seat of a wine-red Cadillac is the hooded figure who earlier enlisted help from the Guardian of the Urn, who now called herself..The Punisher of the Greedy.
“Its time to set my plan into motion.” She says, an evil grin can be seen under her hood.
Back in Miss Hickock’s classroom, Pip and Eddie are writing in their notebooks as Miss Hickock is talking about Homer’s The Odyssey. Miss Hickock had to take on the role of being an English teacher due to a shortage of teachers in the English department. Normally, she would only have to spend an hour and a half in the gym for her physical education classes, now she was spending three hours teaching the same class of kids each day, something she’d be okay with giving up and go back to her normal schedule.
Suddenly both Pip and Eddie get the sensation of an innocent in trouble. “Pip? Do you feel that?” Eddie asks the second oldest Blessed One.
“Yeah, there’s an innocent in trouble. I don’t how we can feel it though. Bev doesn’t even seemed to be phased by it.” Pip says. He and Eddie look at their friend, Beverly, and she continues to takes notes in her notebook.
In the boys’ restroom, a senior has backed a small freshman up against the far wall from the door. “Please don’t hurt me! I’ll give you my lunch money.” The freshman cries.
“Its going to take more than just your lunch money.” The seniors threatens.
Golden particles appear behind the senior and form the shape of a woman..the Punisher. The freshman sees it happen and watches the woman step towards both him and the senior.
As Miss Hickock explains the several themes of The Odyssey, Pip and Eddie stand up and walk towards the door, having no control of their bodies. “Mr. Halliwell! Mr. Kresington! What are both of you doing? Retake your seats please!”
Bev watches them in concern, she could sense something wasn’t right with both of them.
Pip and Eddie ignore Miss Hickock and leave the room. Compelled by a force unknown, the only thing they could think of is saving the innocent in trouble.
The classroom telephone rings and Miss Hickock goes to answer it. “This is Miss Hickock speaking.” She looks to Beverly. “She’s on her way. You’re welcome.” She hangs up the phone. “Miss Carson, you’re leaving early.”
“Uh, okay.” Bev replies. “Which is weird because my dad is at work.” She grabs her things and heads for the door.
“By the way, Miss Carson.” Miss Hickock says. Bev turns around to look at the teacher. “If you see Mr. Halliwell and Mr. Kresington, be sure to them that they both have earned a seat in detention.”
Bev slowly nods and leaves the room.
Pip and Eddie arrive in the restroom and are apparently released from the trance they were put under. They see a woman dressed in Egyptian attire with just a bit too big of a headpiece. Her shawl transforms into a cobra and it aims to strike at the senior.
“Hey!” Eddie shouts at the woman. Gaining her attention, she turns around. He closes his eyes and the cobra flies into an open stall. Eddie uses his power on the woman but it causes her to sway. He tries again and it causes her to stumble a few steps backwards.
Pip, taking advantage of the distraction, rescues the two boys and safely gets them out of the restroom and away from the Egyptian woman.
“Your power has no effect on me, child.” The woman says. “I am the Punisher of the Greedy. I’ve been given free rein on this city and I will rid it of those who choose to have more than they need. You and your comrade do not reek of greed, stand down now and I’ll spare the lives of you both.”
“Yeah, well, your free rein costs a fee now.” Pip says. He grabs Eddie’s left hand in his right. “Use your power again.”
“What?” Eddie asks. “It won’t work on her, she’s too strong.”
“Just do it.” Pip says.
Eddie closes his eyes and Pip focuses his Blessed energy on Eddie. Pip accidentally over-calculates his focus and allows Eddie to throw the Punisher against the far wall in a decent speed. The impact is enough to temporarily knock her unconscious. “Ouch.” Eddie says, looking at the Punisher.
The cobra in the stall, having been unaffected by the Punisher’s predicament, hisses at the two witches and prepares to launch itself at Eddie. “We forgot about the cobra.” Eddie says, in a worried tone. “Pip, I can’t keep throwing it around.” The cobra launches itself at Eddie and he make a high-pitched whimper out of fear.
Pip split-secondly remembers that his mother was an excellent spell writer and decides to give spell-writing a shot.
“Uh..Cobra with a deadly bite, no longer you are a living fright.”
The spell works just as the cobra had gotten its fangs inches from Eddie’s arm. The cobra is transformed back into a gold shawl and is put back around the Punisher’s neck.
Eddie opens his eyes and lowers his arms from self-defense. “Where’d it go?” He asks, frightened to the bone and not having heard Pip say a spell to get rid of the cobra.
“I thought of a spell and it turned into a shawl around her neck.” Pip explains, gesturing to the Punisher on the last part.
“Do not tell anyone about..” Eddie gets out before Pip interrupts him.
“How you whimpered like a little girl when the cobra tried to bite you.” Pip finishes for Eddie. “Wouldn’t dream of it.”
Baker High - Front Office
Bev enters the front office and finds her aunt Shannon Smith sitting in waiting area. “Aunt Shannon?”
Shannon rises from the chair she was seated in. “Hello Beverly.” She walks to her niece and stoops to her level. “How are you?”
“I’m fine..my dad is at work." Bev says, she is confused. "So why are you picking me up?”
“Something’s happened and you need to come with me.” Shannon says. She puts fake despair in her voice, or else her lie wouldn’t sound believable.
“What’s wrong with my dad?” Bev asks, an actual bit of concern escapes in her voice. Despite the fact that her father was always too close for comfort. Yet he protected her, the best that any father could.
“I’ll explain everything when we get there.” Shannon says.
Bev frowns when she doesn’t get an immediate answer and she nods. Shannon lightly smiles, she slowly regains her composure. She puts an arm around Bev’s shoulders and leads her niece out of the front office and the doors of Baker High.
Baker High School - Boys’ Bathroom - Midday
“We'll probably need the Blessed Power of Three to vanquish her.” Pip says, looking at the Punisher.
“What do you suppose we do with her?" Eddie asks. "Its not like we can leave her here, someone will find her.”
Pip considers the problem. “Andy!” He calls out. “Andy!”
“Keep your voice down." Eddie says, shushing Pip. "We’re lucky no one has came in here, yet.”
Blue and white lights appear beside Pip and form the shape of a man, Andy Trudeau. “Pip? Eddie? What’s going on?” He looks around. “And why’re we in a bathroom?”
“No time. We need you to take Ms. Hellfire here, to the Manor and then have Aunt Piper put the freeze on her or something.” Pip says.
“Crystals. Tell Piper to put her in a crystal cage.” Eddie says. "The Charmed Ones have done it before."
“Got it.” Andy says. “Where’s Bev?”
“In class…” Pip says.
“She wasn’t brought here like we were.” Eddie says, concerned.
“You were brought here? Like, by a spell?” Andy says.
“We don’t know and we’re not worried about that right now.” Eddie says, a bit angry.
“Okay.” Andy says, his hands raising a bit. “Just fill me in later.” Andy says, getting ready to orb himself and the Punisher away.
“Andy, wait.” Pip says. Andy turns to look at Pip. “I promise we will explain everything later. Just don’t take Eddie’s outburst to heart.”
“I am sorry Andy, I’m just a little distraught at the moment.” Eddie says.
“Its okay, Eddie. You have every right to be angry and upset.”
“Can you sense Bev?” Pip asks.
“Isn’t she in class?” Andy asks.
“Yes, but I have a nagging feeling about all of this.” Pip explains. “Especially since both Eddie and I were sent here without Bev.”
Andy nods in understanding. He closes his eyes and focuses on his third charge. “She’s with a relative.”
“Wait, what?” Eddie asks. “She’s not in class?”
“No.” Andy answers lowly.
“Oh my god.” Pip says, coming to a realization. “We were tricked.”
“Damn it.” Eddie says, putting a hand to his face.
“If my premonition power would actually be helpful when we need it, this wouldn’t have happened.” Pip complains.
“Pip, this isn’t your fault.” Andy says.
“I had a premonition this morning about..” Pip stops himself. Remembering that his vision was about the father of his friend, who happened to be standing right next to him.
“About what?” Eddie asks.
Pip exhales. “This isn’t going to be easy for you, Eddie.”
“Pip, what’s wrong?” Eddie asks, worry rising in his throat.
“You’re going to be pissed off and I’m afraid that you’ll shoot the messenger.” Pip says and inhales a breath. He exhales and looks at Eddie. “In the vision I had, I saw your father.”
“What? That’s not possible." Eddie says, in disbelief. "My father is dead.”
“It's true, he robbed a mini-mart last night." Pip says. "He dropped his wallet, my Uncle Henry brought it to me and that’s how I got the premonition. I saw him die and then get up and run off, leaving behind a duplicate of himself.”
“No. You’re lying." Eddie says, refusing to believe Pip. "He’s dead, my mother said so.”
“You still believe her after the placebo incident?” Pip asks. “Your father has been alive this entire time that you’ve thought him dead.”
Eddie closes his eyes, clenching both fists and accidentally lets his emotions get the best of him. He sends Pip flying into the same wall that the Punisher was thrown into.
This doesn’t phase Pip too much and he tries to regain his bearings, but briskly cedes his efforts and grabs his back in pain. “Okay, ow!”
Andy rushes to Pip’s side and begins to heal his charge’s sustained injury. When Andy succeeds in healing Pip, both look and find that Eddie had left restroom. “What was that about?”
“Apparently, Eddie’s father had left when he was too little to remember and his mother told him that his father had died.” Pip explains. “Richie calls her “Big Fat Liar” behind Eddie’s back, but Bev kind of-not lightly slaps him every time.”
“And how do you know all of this?” Andy asks.
“From the Losers, it was on a list of things to never ask Eddie about.” Pip says. “Anyway, you should get her out of here and to the Manor. I’ll go after Eddie and then when I calm him down, we’ll find Bev.”
“Okay, be careful.” Andy says to Pip.
“I will.” Pip assures the older man. “Can you orb with her? I mean I can call for Aunt Paige.”
“Yeah, I can. Besides she’s unconscious at the moment.” Andy says and Pip nods. “Good luck.”
“Thanks.” Pip says. He watches Andy as the older man squats down to touch the Punisher’s shoulder. Pip does a quick once-over of his whitelighter, checking him out. Andy's a good-looking man and has nice glutes, though that wasn't a big deal to Pip. He'd like a boy or girl, no matter how their glutes appeared. Andy also has a decent build, especially for a man that's been dead for almost seventeen years. But Andy's a little too old for him, he's old enough to be his dad and that makes Pip think of his own dad...and he isn't into that kind of thing. So, Pip's more than okay with being friends with Andy, he hopes Andy isn't able to sense his actions...that would be really awkward.
Andy orbs himself and the Punisher to Halliwell Manor.
When the orbs have completely disappeared, Pip turns on a heel and leaves the restroom to find Eddie.
END OF ACT 2!
ACT 3: San Francisco - Unnamed Street - Shannon Smith’s Cadillac
Shannon Smith, the aunt of Beverly Carson, is currently driving down a street in the city of San Francisco. In the passenger seat is her niece, Beverly, who decides to try and get some answers after her first failed attempt.
“Aunt Shannon, what’s going on?” Bev inquires. “You’ve been acting really suspicious and you refuse to tell me anything.”
“I said that I would explain everything when we got to our destination.” Shannon says.
“Well, maybe, I can’t wait until then.” Bev argues.
Shannon rolls her eyes and raises a hand at Bev. Waving it slightly, she induces sleep on Bev. The latter leans back on the passenger seat, her eyes slowing closing..bringing her to a slumber that only Shannon can wake her from. “I’m sorry, Bevvie, but you gave me no choice.”
Shannon didn’t want to do all of this, but she’s only alive and healthy because of a deal made with him. If she failed in killing and obtaining the powers of..the Blessed Ones, then he would destroy her in the worst way possible…by letting her body succumb to the disease its harboring.
She turns the steering wheel to the right, the car gliding ever so smoothly with her action, pulling into the driveway of the Carson house.
The front door opens and a robed figure appears behind the outer glass door. This figure is wearing the same kind of black robe that Shannon was wearing in her Underworld cave. A back view shows that this person’s robe has a Triquetra of the Blessed Ones.
Shannon removes herself from the car and proceeds to the door of the house. She opens the door and is stopped by the robed figure. “Do you have her?” The figure asks, their voice deep and raspy, revealing its a man.
“She’s in the car.” Shannon replies.
“And you didn’t bring her in?” The man asks.
“She’s your daughter, you bring her in.” Shannon snaps at the figure.
The man slips off his robe, revealing his everyday-casual wear. The man’s face can be seen and his identity is made known. This man is Alvin Carson, Beverly Carson’s father. After his wife was killed by that demon. He agreed to do this only if the man Shannon had talked about, gave him power and wealth. Al slips past Shannon and leaves the house to bring his daughter inside.
“And you’re sure that he is going to comply with our demands.” Another robed figure says, entering the foyer from the living room. This figure’s voice was that of a woman. She lowers her hood and her identity is revealed. This woman is Sonia Kresington, Eddie Kresington’s mother. She loved her son, of course, but loathed the fact that he was a witch..like his father. That’s what led to their divorce, and also the part where she made a deal with a witch. She gave up her beauty to the witch so John would be cursed to never be able to die. That’s what made him leave Eddie behind due to huge exposure risk, leaving their son all to her.
“If we can obtain the powers of the Blessed Ones, hopefully he’ll keep up his end of the bargain.” Shannon says.
“You don’t sound confident in that answer.” Sonia says. “If Eddie dies…”
“He isn’t going to die…when I bring him here, all I have to do is cut his hand for some of his blood.” Shannon says, grabbing an athame from the nearby coffee table. “Just like I have to do to Beverly and Pyper.”
“Pyper? Isn’t that one of the Charmed Ones?” Sonia asks. Yes, she knew about the Charmed Ones but only because her ex-husband was a witch...who constantly talked about magic to Eddie, wrapping their son in forces he shouldn't have to devote his life to at his young age.
“Yes, but Phoebe Halliwell named her son after her older sister, Piper. He goes by Pip.” Shannon explains.
“And you know of all this..how?” Sonia asks.
“Everyone who knows about magic, most likely knows about the Charmed Ones." Shannon explains. "And he filled me in about the Charmed son.”
Al reenters the house with a sleeping Beverly in his arms. “Where do you want me to place her for now?”
Shannon inhales and then tilts her head. She raises an arm to point at the crystals arranged in the living room. “Where do you think?”
“Well I’m not a witch..so how would I know what you were doing with those crystals?” Al says. “For all I know you could’ve been setting them up for some electrical stunt.”
Shannon gives an expression that says ‘Are you dumb?’ “And that’s why Lynda was a witch, why your daughter is a witch and why you aren’t.”
“Don’t talk about her.” Al says, his mood changing quickly.
Shannon moves her hands to her hips. “First of all, she’s my sister and I can talk of her whenever I want.” She counters back.“And if he grants your desire for power, you do realize that you still can't resurrect her right.
“Says who?” Al asks.
“Says the Grand Design, says death and destiny.” Shannon says. “Besides it won’t work.”
“How would you know?” Al asks.
“I’ve already tried.” She shouts back at Al, tears lining her eyes. “I’m only doing this because my desire is health.”
Al looks at his sister-in-law in confusion. “..What?”
“I’m sick Alvin! I have a tumor on my heart.” Shannon says, tears begin rolling down from her eyes. "I've been to lots of doctors and they all found the same results. Al, each doctor said that even if it gets removed, another would take it's place. Nobody can figure out why."
“When did you find out?" Al asks. "Why didn’t you tell me?”
“On Lynda’s death anniversary, a few months ago.” Shannon puts a hand to her head. “I never said anything because you had enough on your plate from raising Beverly.”
“So..if he gets their powers..he’s going to take the tumor away.” Sonia asks.
Shannon looks to the woman and nods her head. "He can stop it from coming back to."
Al approaches Shannon and embraces her. “I’m so sorry.” Actual feelings began to shine from him since his wife’s death, Shannon could see this.
And…so could Bev, who was lying on the couch with an eye peeked open. She inhales from the news of her aunt’s health and the fact that her father was working to gain power from taking away her own. Bev watches on feeling betrayed and despair at the same time.
Baker High School - Hallways - Mid-Afternoon - End of School-Day
Pip is trying to keep up with Eddie, but the many wandering students were making that almost difficult. “Eddie! Wait!” Pip shouts after his friend.
Eddie ignores him and continues to march his way to the front doors of the school. He was going to go home and confront his mother about all of this.
Pip loses sight of Eddie due to the mass of amount of students, he felt as if he had just fallen victim to one of those cliche movie scenes where the main character loses their friend because of a crowd of people.
Pip refrains from chasing Eddie when he hears a voice behind him.
“Mr. Halliwell?” The voice asks. Pip slowly turns around to face the owner of the voice. When the person’s face is shown, its revealed to be Miss Hickock. “Where exactly do you think you’re going?”
“Huh?” Pip asks.
“You and Mr. Kresington left in the middle of class without explanation, and neither of you came back. Which earned yourselves a spot in detention.” Miss Hickock explains. “Speaking of Mr. Kresington, do you know where he is?”
“Actually, I just lost him to the student-packed hallway.” Pip says.
“Oh..well, I’m sure you did.” She side-steps out of Pip’s way and motions him in the direction of classroom. “Come on Mr. Halliwell, you know the way.” She looks at Pip, expectantly.
Pip looks back at her. “You do realize I’m new to this school, right?”
Miss Hickock lowers her arm. “Of course, I only did that for the sheer pleasure of recalling old memories from when I did the same thing to your mother.” She bellows a several laughs.
Pip rolls his eyes in the direction, opposite of Miss Hickock to avoid setting her off even more. He still didn’t understand why she hates him so much. He’d only been in her class for one day and she’s already started her own terrorization.
“Follow me, Mr. Halliwell. The sooner you do your time in detention, the sooner I get to go home to enjoy some leftover take-out and re-runs of Judge Judy.” Miss Hickock says.
Pip sighs and follows Miss Hickock to the classroom where detention would be held for the afternoon. But he didn't have time for detention, he needed to find Eddie and make amends so they could then find Bev and stop the Egyptian lady from hurting anyone else.
Pip is broken from his thoughts when Miss Hickock lightly taps his left shoulder. "Well, what are you waiting for? Go on." Miss Hickock says. Pip takes a step forward, but Miss Hickock stops him. "Almost forgot, cellphone please." She asks with a hand out. He fishes into his pocket and retrieves his phone, and lays it in Miss Hickock's palm.
Pip makes his final steps into the classroom and unexpectedly sees one other student. He decides to sit near the teen so when Miss Hickock left the room, he'd have someone to talk to.
Miss Hickock follows Pip inside and stops at the desk. She opens a drawer and deposits Pip's phone beside another, and then proceeds to close and lock it; seeing as it was her desk. "There is no talking in detention, if I come back from the teacher's lounge and find both of you talking..you will be in detention again tomorrow. And so I bid you two adieu, for the time being. I have a slice of pie with my name on it, in the teacher's lounge." She walks to the door but stops to say one last remark. "If you can't do the time, then why do the crime." She laughs and exits the classroom, closing and locking the door behind herself.
Pip, sitting in the same desk as before in class, grabs his backpack from the chair to pull out some homework to finish.
"Hey, I'm Vic." The other kid in detention introduces himself.
Pip looks at the boy and smiles. "I'm Pip." Pip takes in the features of the teen: short blonde hair, beautiful puppy-dog brown eyes and a nice physique. Though that last one was just a guess with intuition. "What are you in here for?"
"Texting my mom at the last five minutes of math class, to tell her that I would be going over to a friend's house." Vic explains. "What about you?"
"Well, a friend and I, walked out of English to one of the boys' bathrooms to stop a dem--, to stop a demented kid from hurting another kid." Pip explains his reason for detention, and almost spilling his magical secret. "Though I also think its because Miss Hickock hates my mom."
"I wouldn't say Patrick's demented..he's just very threatening. " Vic says with a laugh.
"Wait, you know what happened?" Pip asks.
"Of course. Patrick was trying to steal a freshman's lunch money." Vic says.
"That's all?" Pip asks, afraid that Vic may know about the magic part of the truth.
"Well he was really freaked out afterwards and couldn't remember most of what happened." Vic says. "Why, is there more to what happened?"
Pip exhales in relief. "No, no. I just thought that he may have said I did something...which I didn't, but Bill told me Patrick is an enemy of the Losers."
"You're friends with the Losers' Club?" Vic asks.
"Yeah, why? Are you friends with Henry, Patrick and Belch?" Pip asks.
"Uh-huh. Though Belch and I have tried to talk Patrick and Henry into becoming allies but they wouldn't listen." Vic says, revealing that he really wasn't a bully. "I have never liked what they did, but I only followed along so I wouldn't become a social outcast."
"So..you're just really a nice guy battling for change?" Pip asks.
"I guess you could say that." Vic says with a smile.
They spend the next hour and a half talking and laughing. Getting to know things about one another. Pip tells Vic about his life in New York and Vic vaguely lets Pip in on his home-life, it wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst either. Pip tells about what he likes about San Francisco so far and they share their favorite songs and artists. Whatever pops into their heads, really.
Eventually, the door opens and Miss Hickock walks in. "Times up, you're both free to go." She walks to her desk and retrieves both Vic's and Pip's cellphones from the drawer, she'd stashed them in. "You can have these back." She lays both cellphones on the desk and then leaves the room in a hurry.
"She left pretty quickly." Pip says.
"I've actually never seen her run before." Vic says, and it make both boys laugh. "Say Pip, you're pretty cool...would you like to, maybe, grab a soda with me at P3..sometime?"
Pip smiles and can feel a light blush. "Uh sure, how about this Friday night?"
"Sounds like a date!" Vic says, giving away a small chuckle. He gives Pip a slip of paper, the latter opens it and sees that Vic gave him his phone number. "Call me.."
"I'll make sure to." Pip says and Vic stands up from the desk and walks over to his phone. Pip watches Vic closely, checking out the older boy's body. "Wow."
"See you Friday night, Pip." Vic says, turning to look at Pip.
"See you Friday night too, Vic." Pip says back and Vic smiles, leaving the classroom to go about the rest of his day.
Pip looks back at the slip of paper with Vic's phone number on it, a wide grin forms on Pip's face.
Kresington House - Foyer - Mid-Afternoon
Eddie slams the front door in anger. He looks around in search his mother. "Mom?!" He walks further into the house, towards the kitchen. "Mom! Where are you? We need to talk." Silence is all Eddie gets in response. He enters the kitchen and finds it empty. Eddie continues his search for his mother, checking places like the laundry room and looking out of a window that allows view of the backyard. Usually, he'd find his mother in three places at the time of his arrival home: the kitchen, the laundry room or her flower garden; none of which were she in.
Eddie reaches the living room and stops in his tracks. Sitting on the couch in front of him, in living and breathing form, was his supposedly deceased father. Eddie felt both shocked and excited, he wasn't sure if believed Pip, when the latter said he had a premonition of his father. He also remembers accidentally throwing Pip into the bathroom wall. He'd apologize when he met up with Pip. But that wasn't his main concern at the moment. "Dad?"
John Kresington looks up at his son, not having heard him enter the house or notice he had entered his peripheral vision. "Eddie!" John exclaims. "Thank god you're okay. You have to come with me, now. You're in danger."
Eddie pulls away from his father, who tried to grab his arm. "No. Not until you tell me what is going on. Where's Mom? And how're you alive?"
John sighs. "Eddie, I will tell you everything, just come with me."
"If you don't tell me what's going on, how am I supposed to trust you?" Eddie asks.
"Eddie, now is not the time for this." John tries to reason with his son.
"Not the time for what?" A male demon shimmers in behind John and powers up an energy ball. "Dad!"
The demon throws the energy ball and hits John in the side as he was turning to look behind himself. John goes flying into a shelf located on the opposite side of the living room. "Dad! No!" Eddie screams.
A woman with long dark hair emerges from behind the demon. Its Shannon, Bev's aunt, though Eddie doesn't know this. She spares a glance at John's unconscious form. "Should've known he'd come back at some point." She looks over at Eddie. "Two down, one to go." She waves a hand at Eddie and he falls to the floor, asleep. "The other one will be most difficult to capture." She says to her demon savvy.
END OF ACT 3!
ACT 4: Halliwell Manor - The Attic - Midday
A close-up on Penny Halliwell's now-destroyed sewing machine can be seen as the Guardian of the Urn, currently Punisher of the Greedy, looks at it. She runs her finger along the table where the sewing machine sits, dust collecting on the tip of her finger. She brings her finger up to her right eyelid and applies the dust to it. When her finger moves away, there is now gold eye-shadow in place of the dust.
"Did she just--?" Pip asks, dumbfounded.
"Uh-huh." Piper Halliwell nods her in confirmation.
"And make it--?" Pip asks, again.
"Uh-huh." Piper nods again.
"How did she break out of the crystal cage?" Andy asks. "Very few have done that."
"Your little crystal cage wasn't strong enough to contain a being of my power. Especially when your crystals decide to scurry off..." The Punisher explains, her voice trailing off.
"Excuse me?! What did you turn the crystals into? Spiders? Scorpions?" Piper asks, angry that could be lethal creatures roaming her house.
"Cats, actually." The Guardian clarifies. "Not all of Ancient Egypt's sacred animalia are spiders and scorpions. Remember, Ancient Egypt had a wide variety of animalia. I have many species to choose from."
"Well cats aren't bad.." Piper says, trailing off. "I should check up on Katrina sometime if she's in town." She says to herself, as if she were reminding herself.
"I thought you were all about snakes, spiders and scorpions." Pip says.
"Common mistake. That wizard adored spiders, snakes and scorpions. Those were mainly his pets."
"You knew the wizard who made the Urn?" Andy asks.
"Well, how do you think I got on the Urn?" The Punisher says.
The Punisher slides her index finger along the top of Prudence Halliwell's past life, Polina Bowen's, camera. The Guardian takes the dust collected on her finger and applies it to her left eyelid. When her finger leaves her face, gold eye-shadow can be seen in place of the dust.
"Seriously? Stop playing makeover with the "gray stuff". I will not have you tracking "gray stuff" through my house!" Piper scolds.
"Gray stuff?" Pip asks, looking to his aunt.
"Dust. I mean dust. I haven't had to fight any demons in a couple years, so my quick-witted comebacks are little rusty. Besides I'm raising three kids to not become evil, I've been through that twice already, so I'm trying to keep the sarcasm and quick-wits to a minimum." Piper explains.
"I can see what you meant by rusty." Pip says.
Piper's eyes widen. "Oh no, mister. You do not get to use the quick-witting against me."
Pip snickers. "Sorry, Aunt Piper. Just trying to help you get less rusty."
Piper rolls her eyes and smirks. "Uh-huh, sure you were."
"Can we back to the matter that is walking around the attic right now." Andy scolds both Pip and Piper.
"Right." Pip agrees. "So why have you come back to San Francisco?" Pip asks the Punisher.
"I didn't. I was released by a woman. She granted me free rein on the city to punish anyone reeked of greed. Be gracious that I haven't punished you, yet, Mrs. Bossy Pants." The Punisher says. She looks directly at Piper on the last bit.
"Me? Why me?" Piper asks. "I'm anything but greedy."
The Guardian of the Urn laughs. "Well Charmed One, your yearn for a normal life, now and back in your magic heyday. A normal life for your children, for your nieces and nephews, no demons and no magic. Then there's the greed of this house being yours, the greed for having everything organized and clean, having no messes whatsoever."
Piper scoffs. "Just because I want something, doesn't make me greedy. It's perfectly normal to want something."
"And there it is again. That word, "normal". You need to appreciate the life you have now. It was magic that brought you and your sisters closer together. Allowed you to see your mother and grandmother again. Allowed you to see your older sister again. Gave you a husband, children...gave you another sister. That's why greed is such a nasty thing. You take for granted the things you already have and increase the risk of losing them all." The Punisher explains to Piper.
"How do you know all of that?" Pip asks.
"I can sense greed. Which means I can read the factors of a person's greed." The Punisher explains.
"I thought you were the Guardian for the Urn, not a life coach." Piper says. "And FYI, it was because of magic that Prue was taken from this family. Lady, you have no idea what Phoebe and I had to deal with when Prue died. It was because of magic that my mother and grandmother died. That Phoebe turned evil with Cole and became Queen of the Underworld. That Paige had to grow up not a part of this family. That Wyatt was turned evil in the future. And its why Leo and I went through Hell-and-back to be together." Piper says, on the verge of tears. "So don't think you can come into my house and give me that crap about magic being a good thing. Because its not, all three of my sisters and I were torn to bits, we went through so much heartbreak. Now Pip and his friends, my children and Phoebe's and Paige's children..they'll all have to go through it." A lamp on a nearby table explodes.
Pip's and Andy's mouths are wide open. Pip exhales. "Wow, um, Aunt Piper..why don't you go downstairs and cool off. Andy and I will deal with her."
Piper nods and turns on a heel. She walks with a good speed out of the attic to get her emotions back under control.
"Okay Andy, you go and find her urn. The faster we send her back from whence she came, the better." Pip says.
"I agree. Be careful around her, Pip." Andy says.
"Don't worry Andy, I'll be fine. Besides, she would've killed me already if she could. She would've killed you, Aunt Piper and I, if she could." Pip says.
"Don't underestimate my power, child." The Punisher warns.
"Oh please, you were defeated by my mom and aunts when they'd just became witches." Pip says. "What makes you think I won't do the same?" He challenges the Punisher like any other Warren and Halliwell witch would. The confidence and fierceness, the strong will, in Pip, it was another sign of where he came from.
The Punisher and Pip size each other up. Pip gives a glare and the Punisher's facial expression shows a small bit of fear. The Punisher takes a few steps back from Pip.
"That's what I thought." Pip says and smirks.
Andy looks at Pip in astonishment. "I think you inherited your Aunt Prue's very intense and very scary glare. So..I'm going to find the Urn, so I don't have to see that glare again." Andy says. "Good luck, Pip." And with that, Andy orbs out.
Pip chuckles at Andy's comment and watches Andy leave, then turns to the Guardian. "Now how about you tell me of the woman who released you." Pip says, tilting his head to his left. Neither Pip or Andy had any idea that Bev and Eddie were in trouble.
Carson House - Dining Room - Late Afternoon
Shannon and Sonia are arguing loudly. “I get that Eddie is your son, but how else was I supposed to get him here?”
“By driving! Instead you let some demon touch my baby.” Sonia yells.
“If I had driven my car to your house, your ex-husband would’ve gotten a hold of Eddie before I could have.” Shannon explains.
Sonia shuts up for a second to process this. “..What?”
“Mhm. And then he went flying across the living room with an energy ball.” Shannon smirks. “Don’t fret, he isn’t dead, yet..”
Sonia’s look of shock morphs to one of relief. “Good. He doesn’t deserve death. No one, not even he, will take my Eddie away from me.”
Alvin walks into the dining room after checking on Eddie and Bev, to make sure neither had awaken and then trying to escape. “How do we get the third?”
Shannon glances at Alvin. “I haven’t quite figured that out yet.”
“And why exactly?” Alvin questions. “You got Bev and Eddie.”
“Pyper is different. He’s a lot more complex than Bev and Eddie.”
“Speaking of Eddie, how did you know he’d be at home?” Sonia asks.
“I didn’t.” Shannon says.
“What do you mean?” Alvin pushes for Sonia’s answer.
Shannon looks to the ground and inhales. “He told me. We’re in constant contact.”
Sonia and Alvin gasp. “And you didn’t tell us?” Alvin asks.
“It's not really an important feat to mention.” Shannon explains.
Carson House - Living Room
Bev opens her eyes and sees Eddie laying on the second couch, on the other side of the coffee table. She stands up and approaches his sleeping form. Squatting down beside him, she gently shakes him. “Eddie. Eddie?”
With no response, an idea pops in her head. “Forgive me, Eddie.” She clutches Eddie’s arm and burns him enough to wake him—but not enough to cause any major injury. Her free hand jumps to his mouth when his eyes shoot open. He screams into her hand and luckily its muffled, and doesn’t gain Shannon, Alvin or Sonia’s attentions.
He looks around frantically and his eyes settle on Bev. He calms down and she removes her hand from his mouth. “Bev! You’re okay!”
“Of course I’m alright!” Bev says. “Where’s Pip?”
“I don’t know. I stormed out of the boys’ bathroom at school after I threw him into a wall.”
“You threw him into a wall?” Bev asks.
“By accident. He told me that he had a premonition of my father. That he was alive and I got angry.” Eddie explains. “He’s gonna be so mad at me.”
“He’ll get over it. He would’ve got Andy to heal him.” Bev says.
“Are we at your house?” Eddie asks.
“Yeah and things aren’t looking so good.” Bev says.
Eddie’s face grows in worry more. “What do you mean?”
“My aunt, my dad and..your mom are working for an upper-level demon. My aunt wants health, my dad wants power and your mom wants beauty. If they get your’s, mine and Pip’s powers, the demon will grant their desires.”
“Who’s the demon?” Eddie asks.
“I don’t know. My aunt has only that the demon’s a he.”
“We need Pip.” Eddie says.
“We have no way to communicate with him.” Bev says, frowning.
“But we can bring him here.” Eddie says.
Bev raises an eyebrow. “Then let’s do it.”
