I'd be really happy if Hollywood comes up with new ideas or give other countries a chance for their shows. I mean, the whole world is global and online meanwhile. Big chance that is and also please, no copyright matter. NOW that would be great!

Looks like Hollywood has run out of new ideas.
They have to constantly revive or reboot old shows. What a sad state of affairs, IMO.

Nothing on television that is bringing something new to the table. AT ALL! And the sad part is I do read some really interesting shows, that in the end, the Networks don't pick up, because they go for the cheap reboot, revival, something based on a book or movie, or even something based on something from a foreign country or a superhero show. The CW I have to be honest hasn't picked up or done something new in probably a decade. You go back 10 years and almost everything they have picked up has not been even remotely original. And what's sad, is The CW has turned down so many pilots that I read that ARE new and original, but don't pick them up, and instead pick up another reboot or another Superhero show. I sooo feel your frustration. If it seems like I have little interest in new TV shows and movies nowadays, THIS is why. I don't want cheapo remakes of stuff from 20 years ago, nor do I give a crap about the latest superhero franchise. There's no variety or originality. What a waste. Exactly. And people wonder, why most like to re-watch old classics, when we are not getting decent new content these days. Not to mention the streaming ones are just not as good as they could be. And look what I saw today. I heard it was happening, but now it's REALLY happening. The Craft Reboot to be start shooting in summer 2020

Why are we getting a Craft remake? I certainly don't want one.

The original movie centered on four school girls taking revenge on the mean, malicious, ill-willed cool kids who exercised dominion over the student community.Yeah... That was not the plot of the movie. The Craft reboot is expected to promote feminist values, vouches Vogue journalist Emily Algar in a recently published article. This is a highly probable presumption: the narrative is a celebration of female empowerment and the advancement of the self via ancient technologies and olden rituals. Plus, the lead roles are all played by women, marking a timely change for increasingly obsolete Hollywood praxes. How refreshing and groundbreaking! The original movie, along with Buffy and Charmed, totally didn't do those things 20 years ago, nosiree! [/sarcasm] More importantly, the new version marks a breakthrough for Blumhouse, a production studio which garnered public scrutiny on numerous occasions over the past few years for failing to hire enough female directors for its horror titles.Yeah, that just screams "woke feminist," doesn't it? Who could follow in the footsteps of Robin Tunney, Neve Campbell, Rachel True, and Fairuza Balk? As per the latest announcements, Cailee Spaeny will be joined by Gideon Adlon, the actress to previously appear in Blockers and The Society, alongside Pose actress Zoey Luna and Greenleaf's Lovi Simone.*Googles the four actors* So, they're not even going to make the cast 100% WOC like the rest of these "woke" reboots?

Uh, weren't the leads of the original movie all women?
Did the person who wrote this article ever SEE the original movie!? And did this person totally miss the 90's!?

Scary to think that this Mad TV skit still feels relevant:
If you didn't figure it out by the referenced movies, this skit's from 2005. It's 15 years old!
Yet, if anything, it feels even more resonating now than it did back then. Hollow cash-grab remakes and reboots have even swallowed up the Small Screen in addition to the Big Screen. You could remake this skit to be just about the CW Network, alone.

I remember seeing that skit.
And yeah, it's very relevant now, unfortunately.

I watched Rugrats and Flintstones when I was younger.
Not sure I'd want them rebooted.

The original Flintstones has held up for more than 50 years. No need to reboot it.

Just great. I love the old Flintstones, yet hard to say for the new ones. Why do they have to reboot such good old shows? *sighs*

Yeah, I don't know why. As we've said before on here, why can't they make something new inspired by all these old classics?

Because that would require them to have original ideas. Which is clearly beyond their abilities.

These abilities seem to be lost and gone in Hollywood. Inspired yeah but please with a new esprit!
