That would make more sense. Having Lex show up every so often, but not too much.
Superman does have other enemies as well.

He sure does. I expect Death of Superman to be a big crossover arc, with Doomsday as a villain. That is too iconic in the Superman history not to be adapted for the Superman & Lois series. So many enemies we can have too introduced. Plus crisis has a way to rewrite history, so most of the villains Supergirl already used, can be taken back for Superman & Lois.

Me too. I'm sure the actor would fly into Vancouver every so often. That would make more sense. Having Lex show up every so often, but not too much.

Yeah, I do think that is such a big story from the comics, I too, would not be surprised they had it as part of some big story at some point. And Smallville and the Superman vs. Batman movies did a terrible job at it, I heard the Animated movie did a better job with it. Hopefully they learn from the mistakes the other live action versions did with it.

Tyler is a good Superman, and I liked Elizabeth as Lois.
Of course, Jon Cryer is the best Luthor since Gene Hackman.

They are great. Of course, for me, It is Best Luthor since Michael Rosenbaum. I hated the one from the new Superman movies, acting more Joker than Luthor. I did like Henry Cavil as Superman, too bad he was working off a really crappy script. I hope Tyler works out more for the series, now it is hopefully a new regularly series, he looks so tiny compared to his former Superman's. Brandon Roth looks more bulked up than he does. But, I'll let that slide, since hopefully a series, he'll do more training to look even better for the part.

I prefer Tyler over Henry Cavill as Superman not because I don't like the actor. He was good in the Tudors. But because Henry's Kal-El was always miserable whenever I saw him onscreen whereas Tyler reminds of Christopher Reeve who was my movie Superman growing up though Brandon Routh did a good job in 'Superman Returns' Tyler's had the overall personality that makes Superman from his clumsiness to his cheerful disposition although he's not as tall or buff in the muscle department as others.

If I had to rank. I wouldn't put Henry at the top. I haven't seen Lois and Clark from the 90s in so long but grew up with them. So they have a soft spot for me as my Lois and Clark. Most of my friends seem to love Smallville and refuse to watch Arrowverse as that's their version of Clark, Lois, Lex, Kara and Oliver Queen. Different strokes for different fans.
I've seen Christopher Reeve's but since I was born after those came out. I don't have an emotional attachment like some might who were alive in that era to see it. But I have seen it. And totally get why Christopher Reeve is great.
I'm guessing each generation likes different ones based on what you saw growing up.
Some online from comments I'm reading appear to not like Tyler's. And wish Brandon Roth's Superman got a series. I guess these fans are judging him based on physical appearance and look than talent and or grew up with Smallville or Henry's Superman. I guess these fans are ones who grew up now as this as their Superman.

I didn't mind Dean Cain as Superman in the 90's. In fact I had a small crush on him as a kid and Teri Hatcher was a good Lois along with other people who were casted right in their roles. Lane Smith as Perry White and John Shea as Lex Luthor being two of them.
In terms of how I rank my Supermen that goes down to the Man Of Steels overall appearance and personality and how I depict him a beacon of hope with a cheery disposition and flaws who inspires people to be better than they are, never waver or loose faith, and can do anything if they put their mind to it being tall and buff in appearance doing that who for me film wise will always be Christopher Reeve then Brandon Routh second and Henry Cavill last.
Television wise Tom Welling was the perfect Clark because that's what Smallville was about Clark's journey to Superman and the fact we only saw him suit up last episode then he's not up the top as my Superman.
Tyler Hoechlin slightly edges out Dean Cain as my small screen Superman probably because the first time I saw him on Supergirl he immediately reminded me of Chris Reeves. But of course Lois and Clark was the only 90's series showcasing the character then so Dean Cain was my Man Of Steel then.

Our first Superman show, in 23 years, since Lois and Clark ended in 1997. So this is going to be fun. Superman is very popular, so I expect it will find an audience, it already has, since we've seen these characters for a number of years on Supergirl and the crossovers. I love this, because moving forward, it opens the door for a Superman/Supergirl crossover story. I expect a crisis, has fixed some issues, with Superman gaining back all the villains Supergirl previously defeated that were part of Superman's mythology first. However, I'll be very curious if they'll recast Sam and Lucy Lane, who appeared on Supergirl Season 1, and haven't been seen since. They could get away with it in crisis, and come up with an excuse, that two several different dopplegangers merged, and get away with the casting difference now. Since both characters are so important to Lois, I can't seem them ignoring them in the series, unless they do manage to bring back the original actors after all.
Also, we'll gain a new Perry White and Martha Kent (assuming she is alive, or Crisis killed her). I'm wondering who they'll cast. They already have a James and Cat, so the Dailyplanet may have the likes of other supporting characters like Steve Lombard.
Inspector Henderson and Emil Hamilton. Also Lana Lang, Pete Ross, Dan Turpin and Lori Lemaris.
I don't think Chloe Suvillan will appear, a big character on Smallville. She was mentioned on Supergirl as a friend of Clark's, but given what is happening with the actress who played Chole in real life, they may want to forget about ties to the character.
Supergirl already used Maggie Sawyer and Morgan Edge, who are more Superman supporting characters. Unless, they get recast and or Crisis changed things, or they get the original actors back.

I know.
This version of Superman is very popular, and I can see why they're giving him and Lois their own show. As Jean said, it will be fun.
They can do crossovers with Supergirl and have the two Kryptonian cousins have new adventures. With this new Earth that was just created, the sky's the limit.
And we MUST have Jon Cryer show up from time to time as Lex Luthor.

Agreed. This is going to be so much fun. I grew up watching Lois and Clark in the 90s, I'm over the moon, to have another new Superman series after a few decades.
This one is bringing something different to the table than any other. This is a more established Superman, not a origin story starts as every other version starts with.
We might just get some flashbacks to how they meet if they want too.
I really do see e Jon Cryer showing up from time to time as Lex Luthor. Crisis reset his story, so he isn't a wanted criminal, which opens the door, for him to be back easily now.
As for supporting cast, I do think for sure we'll have a Perry White and Martha Kent. Maybe even Emil Hamilton.
I hope Brainiac will appear on the series, he is a very popular villain in the Superman lore, and I'd love to see him appear.

This will be the first live action Superman show since Lois & Clark (I don't count Smallville because he didn't become Superman until the last episode).
I'd love to get into the backstory as to when Superman and Lois met. When we first seem them together on Supergirl, they're married and Lois knows that Clark is Superman. Who isn't curious to see how that happened.
And Jon Cryer is the best Lex Luthor since Gene Hackman, IMO.

Agreed with both comments here. Will look forward to seeing this when it aires which will replace Supernatural in my weekly watched TV series when that's ended.
