Who knows. However, the show has been given a full season, so there is no need to do this. This show needs to slow down, let the characters breathe, before throwing such relationships at them.
The whole Maggie/Parker thing, for example, did we really need to have another Phoebe/Cole? And so quickly?

I hope they upgrade Jada to regular. The reboot needs to be better than the original and have a supporting cast with female regulars. Something Classic Charmed failed, apart from Billie, I don't count Jenny she was only in 3 episodes and gone.
I don't understand why they have to have the three female leads surrounded by male supporting regulars. Not a good look to remove your only female supporting character in Niko and replace her with a new regular in Parker.
The Maggie/Parker story just isn't as interesting as Jada.
I think the series was better off not doing Parker's story at all, and let Jada and those sisters being the storyline carried in S1. Let her and Mel connect. Then just let Maggie play a role like Phoebe in S1, no major love interest.
I'm not too high that the reboot feels the need to pair all three sisters with someone in S1. Not when the central theme should be on the sisters bonding and them getting to know each other since Macy is new.

The first season needs to revolve around Macy reuniting with her sisters and establishing their dynamics, NOT Parker's family drama or Macy's relationship woes with Galvin. Too much attention is being put on these dull male love interests instead of the actual stars of the show.

Me too. She and Mel have great chemistry together (kind of like Phoebe and Kira did).
Jada is way better than the blocks of wood called Parker and Galvin.

You need to get the audience to care about these sisters. Might be what has gotten people to tune out.
Parker's family feels like its own show within a show. If you wanted that story, throw that into a male Charmed series, not in here with what is suppose to be a female centric series.

Least this actress can act and has good chemistry with Mel and a better storyline than the boring bad boy plot, and cardboard wooden Galvin.

They should run with this idea. Have Mel hook up with a woman who's motives are still very mysterious.

I'll be interested to follow this one. Might be the only plot that is interesting at the moment, the rest are not.
Of course, wondering where Harry is, and if he's okay, and how they rescue him, is also exciting. Well, we care about Harry's fate. I'm sure when Galvin was run over, we all hoped he would be gone the following week.

Maybe Parker or Galvin will have to sacrifice himself to get Harry back.
Hey, I can always hope.

That would be something.
Like Classic Charmed. I think S1 was better off with just five regulars or even just four the stars + Harry was more than enough for our main characters in S1, then do your upgrades in S2. Actually I'll say five with Niko. No Galvin, No Parker.

Guess you can never please anyone. Now the reboots supporting cast except Harry I'll admit are horrible. But Maggie and Macy are so well received. This seems to be one of the main issues with the show. The sisters and Harry are fine, but the rest of the supporting cast just sucks. I have yet to see a single person who likes Galvin and Parker. Those two clearly aren't working at all, and if the show was smart, it would (at least) write them out after S1. On the flipside, I hope Jada becomes a more prominent character in the show. Unlike the two blocks of wood, she actually has some interesting story potential, and she also isn't an obvious retread of an idea from the original show. From what I've been seeing online, she seems to be fairly popular, too. Exactly, here is hoping they get rid of one of them at the end of S1. Reboot in S2, and upgrade Jada to regular. I mean Classic Charmed did this in S2 when they got rid of Jenny and Dan by S3. Why can't they pull a Jenny, and see Galvin isn't working and ditch him. Jada does seem popular, and Galvin really isn't. I just have a feeling now that he knows their secret, they feel the need to increase his screentime. Won't help, he has no chemistry with Macy. Part of the "they're going too fast" problem. The characters are, IMO, too new to be thrown into stories like this. Give them a season or two so they can be fleshed out. Yes, there was Prue/Andy in S1 of the original show, but they had a pre-existing relationship before the show started.
Fully agreed. This show's plotting has been a mess. I don't know why they're rushing through storylines so fast instead of letting the characters naturally develop. Are they afraid of the show getting canceled? I think they might be afraid, but they got 22 episodes. Maybe now things will improve. Because they have potenial, but just the plotting is all over the place. I really think they were better off letting the first half have been some standalones, and building up the sisters. Of course, the first 4 episodes easily could have made up the entire first half of the season. I hope they upgrade Jada to regular. The reboot needs to be better than the original and have a supporting cast with female regulars. Something Classic Charmed failed, apart from Billie, I don't count Jenny she was only in 3 episodes and gone. Too much attention is being put on these dull male love interests instead of the actual stars of the show. Agreed here. Like they all seem sisterly. Mel and Macy need more conflict. But of course, Mel should act like the big sister growing up with Mel, and Macy as the outsider/only child and one who should act more on her own. I just felt like they did even worse than Classic Charmed when Paige came in. Mel barely had conflict with Macy, a little but now not so much. The sisters need more stories together. So many episodes, keep splitting them up from the plots.

I'm holding out for the hope that Galvin knowing results in him either dying or leaving Hilltowne at the end of S1. Surely, the showrunners have to be at least somewhat aware of his poor reception? Because they have potenial, but just the plotting is all over the place. I really think they were better off letting the first half have been some standalones, and building up the sisters. Of course, the first 4 episodes easily could have made up the entire first half of the season. Seems like this show has intentionally been trying to stay away from "Monster of the Week" plots in favor of longer storylines. Maybe, this shows that the Charmed premise needs to have, at least, a slightly episodic format to truly work. Hopefully, Jada ends up providing that conflict for Mel and Macy. Mel is desperate to feel like she's part of something after losing both her Mom and Niko and gets sucked into the Sarcana, while Macy thinks Mel is letting her emotions cloud her judgment and doesn't trust Jada and the Sarcana at all. Boom, there's your conflict.

You would think so, in this era of Social Media (which didn't exist at the time of the original series).
Especially this early on.
Hey, writers, listen up...

Normally when characters aren't well received there written off usually so maybe if Parker and Galvin are still on Charmed near the end of season 1 and the ratings aren't good partly because of them then the producers take note off that and fix it accordingly?

Well, the writers of the original series clued in on how badly received Jenny was and removed her accordingly.
Perhaps the same will happen with Parker and Galvin (knocking on wood as I type this).
