Charmed Gets New Showrunners, Will Focus on the Supernatural

Me too.

That's one of the main reasons why original Charmed interested me early on and what would keep me watching the reboot then otherwise no thank you guys.

Because, I do feel like S1 was poorly structured with plots all over the place, and rushing things at the speed of light, without world building organically.

Season One of the original series did it right.  They had an arc (Rex and Hannah), but it was mostly stand alone episodes. 

The reboot should be doing the same.  Slow down!!

Heard that too, yet the show hasn't started even yet here in Germany. Well, I hope the show doesn't drift up like the original one with all the supernatural stuff happening. I let surprise me.

That is an excellent idea.  Get the old  stuff out of the way to clear the slate for new ideas. 

Wouldn't it be cool if they did what I've done with the R&H Chronicles, have the Vera sisters take on H.P, Lovecraft's Old Ones?  That would take new Charmed in a direction that the original series never took.

I would be interested seeing new stories not told in the original series provided they slow things down and not rush through them obviously.

Let's hope so, this is why I'm glad they have a showrunner change because as far as I heard, the writers are staying, it is just the showrunner change.

And I was shocked to hear that the showrunner wasn't the creator of Jane the Virgin but some guy I never heard of before attached to the series. What was her input, she was part of all the press for the launch but hasn't been seen since? Was she just used for name branding and using her to launch the show and that's it, and her input was very little.

Did any of these writers have the sisters based on any of them? I feel like Connie stuck gold because she got the sisters down so well. I'm just curious what the inspiration for the Vera sisters came from.

Well, the writers get their orders from said showrunner.  So let's hope the change is for the better.

After this last episode, I'm hoping the new showrunners pull a hard reset on this show. This season has been a total mess, and the show could badly use a fresh, clear direction.
