Let's hope so. This first season has been a complete mess.
They should go back to basics for a little bit, and just flesh the sisters out, and let them learn about their ancestors.
I hope the new showrunners can slow it down, and fix things.

What needs to happen:
1. Slow down, folks. You need more stand alone episodes, like the Season One of the original show.
2. Stop cramming in so much stuff. The first season got too crowed with the Source/Fiona/Charity/Sarcana/etc. Pick one storyline and stick with it.
3. More sister moments, please.

Perhaps like someone at the Cafe who regularly comments about not liking original Charmed seasons 4-8 thinking them as an alternate reality through Piper's delusions with her being in a coma instead of dying in 'All hell Breaks Loose' a similar thing happened here at the end of season 1 retro conning season 2 totally new.

Yeah, they can certainly do that. I mean the Arrowverse has pulled all sorts of resets with a timeline change where things are different.
And from the season finales press release, maybe this could play into S2, with a reset of sorts, Macy trying to use her new powers to create alternate realities all still end up with Galvin dead and everythnig happens for a reason.
I hope S2 can have a reset and start new again.

So Macy creates different alternate realities, and Galvin keeps dying over and over in them all. Let us hope he stays dead, and this turns into another Miles deal like in 'A Witch in Time' where it was just meant to be.

I think that Macy reviving him is going to cause the Harbinger virus to return (since his sacrifice was the thing that destroyed it in the first place), so she's going to have to let him die again to stop the virus. It'd be a nice callback to "Apocalypse Not" from the original and that episode's message of sacrificing a friend or a family member to save the world.

I think you mean Deja Vu All Over Again, Betty.
Anyway, I hope this show learns from the mistakes of this season. I want it to succeed, but, unless changes are made, I don't see that happening. This show is one of the lowest rated on the CW, and while they are more tolerant of such shows than the other networks, they do have their limit.

I think you mean Deja Vu All Over Again, Betty. Nope, it's "Apocalypse Not." Remember this line? Bartender: Everyone has to vote on this. What if a building was on fire? Do you save five strangers or one sibling?
Prue, Piper, Phoebe: Five strangers. Same principle here. If Galvin has to die (and stay dead) to keep the Harbinger virus at bay, then that's what has to happen. The greater good comes before his romance with Macy.

I'd so think this would be great to do. Of course, losing Galvin is a win for us fans too. I think you mean Deja Vu All Over Again, Betty. Nope, it's "Apocalypse Not." Remember this line? The greater good comes before his romance with Macy. Agreed. This was also a really good Classic Charmed episode, one I wished they kept as the S2 finale, and switched the order of episodes around.

I guess it will be too much to hope that they get rid of both Galvin and Parker. These characters are total failures, IMO.
