Doesn't that Constitution of yours guarantee freedom to practice any religion you want, including Pagan ones.
Besides, most of the kids don't care about any of that stuff, anyway. They're in it for the fun of dressing up and getting candy.

These thoughts haven't crossed my mind yet, with the Halloween sweets and all, though we've got Christmas sweets already in our supermarkets. Don't ask!! If it should be ringing at my door, I'll remain quiet! I know the feeling. That pops up early. Same here. Not that I've had any knockers in years.

It does, but the school doesn’t want to offend these parents so they just don’t do Halloween. This whole nonsense about Halloween being evil is taking things literally and projecting, most kids see Halloween as a time to wear costumes and gorge on candy. An interesting idea is the theory of Carnivalesque, in which social norms are flouted for a day to relieve tension: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CarnivalesqueHalloween functions as a sort of Carnivalesque in North America when people can wear costumes, eat junk food and drink and just be silly, Mardi Gras is a similar idea in Catholic societies. Halloween is the one day where kids can wear costumes, gorge on candy and cake and punch and go door to door and talk to random people because they can’t do that most of the time. The kids I’ve known who weren’t allowed to celebrate Halloween often became some of the biggest heavy metal and occult types, since they weren’t allowed to participate in one day of silliness.

Got my decorations all set up.
And yes, I bought candy, which I eat myself.

Our school is actually going to have a sort of Halloween festival, they’re calling it a Fall Festival and on Halloween everyone is coming as a character from their favorite book. It’s Halloween by another name so you not offend the religious parents, I’m going as Arwen from Lord of the Rings. I have a blue cloak and have dark hair, if I wore my blond wig I could be Galadriel and with my red wig and costume jewelry I could be Sansa Stark from Game of Thrones, I like making up my own costumes

The YMCA is doing a movie-themed dress-up on Halloween where employees go as somebody then.
I was asked who I'd go as yesterday when working holiday club but replied I had first aid training that morning with the school I midday at which finishes around noon so by the time I got home and had lunch I won't have the time to change and everything despite having a witches costume then.

I don't know yet what I'll do since for me it's a religious holiday (Reformation by Martin Luther). Plus, I have to work the other day again. It's a Monday after all.

We don't really celebrate Halloween around my area. I remember when I moved here about 4 years ago, I was super prepared and bought lots of sweets and chocolates - only for not a single person to come trick or treat so I ended up stuffing myself stupid lol, so I'll just entertain myself from now on watching a spooky film or playing a game.

Same here, we don't celebrate Halloween. I haven't had a door knocker come trick or treating in years. I just end up eating the sweets myself. Halloween is fun to watch Halloween-themed movies or television episodes.
That's what I do. Eat some sweets and watch movies and shows.

I'm in an apartment, so no trick-or-treaters here either.
I buy lots of candy, that I eat myself

Members at the cafe who are normally involved in the rewatches view "All Halliwell's Eve" this time of year as one of their favourite episodes plus one of the only few that's Halloween themed which someone suggested again this coming Monday then.
Others either watch films or something like previous Simpson's Halloween specials that I know of as well of course.

If I buy some Halloween sweets, I'd only eat them myself. Otherwise, I'll remain silent. What I watch, no idea yet.

My Charmed Halloween connection is reading the final Charmed novel, Trickery Treat (which takes place on the Halloween following the end of the series).
