According to Wikipedia, Mae is her middle name. Her first name is Holly.

I was surprised Germany went with a rock entry this year. Perhaps people thought with Maneskin having won in 2021 they'd vote for this and see how well it does.
Australia has also sent a rock song this year of course.
I saw that about Mae's first name been Holly after watching a YouTube reaction video.

Yeah, well, we had Lordi in Athens in 2006, and so maybe my country wants to change.

Yep, that group with all the prosthetics and everything.
Apparently, the favorite country and song to win which people are raving about despite it having not won its NF yet is "Tattoo" by Loreen who won Eurovision in 2012 with Europhia obviously.
The song is a mixture between that and another composition called "Statements" which was released a few years ago for Melodifestivalen Sweden's national final contest of course.
The song a catchy pop bop that Sweden's known for is very good and something I've already downloaded and multiply listened to so I understand the hype around that because Loreen won previously herself but then so did Alexander Rybak who came back with a track called "That's How You Write A Song" which did worse than his winning entry "Fairytale" in 2009 so we'll have to see how that does if it wins and goes to Eurovision after tomorrow.
The other favorite to win currently is "Queen Of Kings" by Alessandra from Norway that's also a catchy pop bop as well.

Yep, this one. Their victory really surprised me. But it was a good song, anyway.

The UK and Ukraine have had their running orders confirmed for the grand final of this year's Eurovision i.e. what placed number amongst all 26 countries they will perform obviously.
Ukraine will be the 19th country singing on the Liverpool stage whilst the UK is the 26th closing the contest entirely.
On first impressions, both countries have good positions although this isn't the first time the UK has performed last naturally and we didn't get a good result that time actually.
It also isn't the first bop that hasn't done we'll closing the contest with San Mario getting low jury and televoting scores in 2021 then.
Hopefully, things will be different, with the song memorable enough to stick in people's heads and get them to vote.
Whatever positions the other countries who make it to the grand final get will be released in due course.

Nice that Ukraine can still take part, despite being in the middle of a war.

The stage for this year's Eurovision in Liverpool has been revealed. Capacities billed around 11,000 people for each semi and the grand final excluding artists, presenters, and crew though. Some fans have complained that the arena's too small including the stage itself not allowing the artists much room to move about but we'll see what happens once rehearsals start next week of course. Remember bigger isn't always better. My predictions as to who I think will qualify for both semi-finals are as follows. Semi-Final 1. Qualifiers. Norway. Serbia. Portugal. Croatia. Israel. Moldova. Sweden. Finland. (Televote Winner) Czechia. Latvia. Non Qualifiers. Malta. Ireland. Switzerland. Azerbaijan. And The Netherlands. Semi-Final 2. Qualifiers. Armenia. Estonia. Belgium. Cyprus. Iceland. Slovenia. Georgia. Austria. (Televote Winner) Lithuania. Australia. Non-Qualifiers. Denmark. Romania. Greece. Poland. San Marino. And Albania. Considering there'll be no jury votes in the semi-finals the artists who I've put down as nonqualifiers would need those to get through as well as televotes also.

Israel!?
If they're going to include non-European countries, they really should consider changing the name of the venue.

But Israel is already in long. I mean they even won one or two times.

Yeah, but it's called Eurovision, which seems to suggest that it's all European.
Last time I checked, neither Israel nor Australia were in Europe.

I really don't know why they are included. Was before my time watching. Sorry.

It's because their TV broadcasters are members of the EBU the governing body of Eurovision hence why both countries are allowed to participate which I've mentioned previously.
Australia's contract is up though after this year so if they want to continue competing that'll have to be renewed then.
Another country like Kazakstan who competes in Junior Eurovision could if applied and accepted participate in adult Eurovision future-wise.
Then Kosovo who have good singers has also been touted by fans as possibly competing maybe if the EBU approached them as well perhaps.
Whether or not the Candian version of Eurovision rumored to happen actually does or the Asian one too remains to be seen including a second season of the American Song Contest also obviously.
