Riverdale or Nancy Drew is going to have to give up their time slot for a reboot that nobody wanted or asked for. Why??

I think I remember a Kung Fu show on TV as a kid, it had a white guy ad the lead. At least this show is going to have a Chinese actress, but traditionally women in China didn’t practice martial arts. This sounds like a work remake no one asked for, pandering crap

You thinking of the David Carradine series. He made two, the original series, in the 1970's and a sequel series, in the 90's (in which he played a descendant of his character of the 70's show).

I definitely remember the sequel one. Liked it but now, I really can't say. When I hear it, I have the series with David Carradine in mind. Always.

Ok, thanks. I remember the 90s show a bit, it used to be on Saturday afternoons on Channel 9. Having a Chinese girl being a martial artist in a remake is weird, it sounds like a pandering thing since I don’t think many people remember the show.

And given the current political climate, a show with Asian leads might not be too well received at the present time.

I've never seen the original. But yet again I wished they'd not used the Kung Fu name and done something different.
The CW ain't changing. Exactly like the Charmed Reboot trying to be woke. But this is worse gender swapping a male lead series into a female in a reboot. But that ain't new in Hollywood.

I wonder if this series will use the title song Kung Fu Fighting?

Just found out that Riverdale will be the show exiled from its time slot to make room for.... this.
God forbid that they should boot Plec's show out.

I wonder if this series will use the title song Kung Fu Fighting? Good question. Oh yeah, this song was famous, sung by Carl Douglas.

Depends if they can get the rights.

Depends if they can get the rights. Yeah that is true. All depends. Even if they do, do not bet it stays intact when it makes its way to streaming. As we all know, how streaming loses rights, and all original music is always replaced most times for shows.

LOL, as if they'll do that. *sigh* Looks like Riverdale fans have to wait 10-13 weeks for the rest of S5. I've been hearing about this show. It's nice they have an all Asian cast, and just one token white man in the cast. I'm not sure if I'll check it out. Maybe I might sample it, as I never saw the original show. This still feels like its its own thing, just using the Kung Fu name.
