The best thing obviously and of course when our bodies not used to something it reacts in a certain way which for me was the not sleeping hot/cold sweats, headache, arm ache etc then and my mum feeling tired and sick plus the arm aching. Exactly. Everybody reacts differently. My aunt is feeling better now after hers. She took two and a half weeks to fully feel better. But after a few days. It was mainly feeling sore in the arm she got her jab and very tired and exhausted. Take it easy ladyfiaran22

Thanks, Pia. I’m taking it easy, I knew there were going to be side effects so I was prepared. Yesterday I bought three bottles of juice and cans of chicken soup in case we didn’t feel good, it came in handy. Now we have to wait for my younger brother to get the email notification to get his vaccine

You are so lucky, Vanessa. I can't even say when it's my turn here. We have a strict order and not enough vaccination. And that's the dilemma. *sighs*

This is NOT a joke.
So now I can be walking down the street, minding my own business, and a cop can walk up to me and ask where I live and why I'm not at home. And if I refuse to answer, I will be fined or hauled off to prison. Isn't that what the Gestapo did?
Human Rights lawyers are already worrying about this, and they're right. Not to mention those worried about racial profiling (while our race problems were never as bad as they were in the States, it does happen up here).
Don't have to be history professor to see where this could lead. Like what happened to Germany, 88 years ago.
I'm sorry, but this is going WAY over the line. Doug Ford (the Fuhrer, uh, I mean Premier, of Ontario) ought to remember what happened to Benito Mussolini and/or Nicolae Ceausescu when their fed-up people turned on them. Both were put to death by firing squads. And, the way I feel now, if I were asked to join in one of those firing squads, I'd gladly do so.

Now you know how I felt, when this happened to me last year when I mentioned this happened to us in Australia late last year in the old COVID thread. When we had stick lockdown, can't travel more than 5kms, curfews and fines handed out if you didn't obey the rules. Police stopping you. Looks like you guys are getting the same treatment we did last year with Covid getting worse.

It's been three weeks (21 days) since my mum got her first jab. I feel much happier, as we got worried due to reports of the vaccine causing blood clots in some people who got them 1-20 days. One woman aged 47 died after getting her jab with the Astrazeneca vaccine. My mum got that same one.
So we've been very worried for the past few weeks.
My mum took quite a while to get over the side effects (very tired, headaches, and sore arm). But I hear that only people under 50 have gotten these blood clots apparently.
Although it's very rare. I think when I get my jab, it won't be with the Astrazeneca vaccine but the pfizer one. As the blood clots are happening more to younger people not anybody over 60.

Looks like COVID is starting to spike up your way Tim. Although hauled off to prison I don't think they'll take it that far. It didn't happen to us in NZ, just fined if you disobey. Most of us have gone through this before, we're here for you if you need to talk or rant, as I know how it is, as I'm sure the Australian and UK members too, with stuff like this happening. Now you can see how we all felt when we had to put up with it when we had restrictions like this. It's so frustrating alright. It's been three weeks (21 days) since my mum got her first jab. We're here, and know how these rules are when we had to put up with this last year. When the restrictions came into effect here with police getting power to fine. At least 20 people got fined in a day for not obeying the rules with lockdowns. We had protests as well and it got heated in the city. I get the frustration, we've all gone through this before. I heard about this. It's very rare though, but I get how it is to feel worried. It has happened in Europe too. I just know, I won't be wanting that vaccine. Better to be safe than sorry. Exactly.

First they came for the Communists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Communist
Then they came for the Socialists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Socialist
Then they came for the trade unionists And I did not speak out Because I was not a trade unionist
Then they came for the Jews And I did not speak out Because I was not a Jew
Then they came for me And there was no one left To speak out for me

Mum and I had the Oxford vaccine and not had any blood clots yet because that's only happening in about 1 in 10 million people who have pre-existing medical conditions my friend told me which we both don't have thankfully.
The same blood clot can also happen in anyone who takes the contraceptive pill apparently.
Mum's due to get her second dose the week after next and my second dose will be on the Weds afterwards at work again.
There's already talk of the vaccine passports potentially happening in the UK and of course this so-called traffic light system for foreign holidays red, amber, and green.
What''ll stumble that is the cost of PCR tests for green light countries where you don't have to self isolate coming back costing £120 each totalling £1,000 for a family of four taking 3 tests each which will put people off booking abroad further derailing the travel industry.
There is talk though of maybe using the lateral flow tests instead which cost less although people reckon they shouldn't have to pay for either of these themselves because it's not their fault a pandemics around then.
Staycations have shot up again in light of this although some people are wondering how long it might be before PCR tests are mandated for UK holidays.
We can now order lateral flow tests free every week which I've not done yet because my workplace will be injecting that once they have the authority to hand those out to employees and of course when mum and I see my sister each week we'll take one of those then anyway.

Our restrictions also go up and down. You never know what goes at the moment. Some scientists say that it's better to be outside, because then the virus is not active but our government says to stay inside. Pretty contradictive in my eyes, and many people are slowly getting tired of all of this!!
We don't see a light at the end of the tunnel!

Wow Tim, the premier sounds nuts. These restrictions don’t make sense and are going to really hurt people and get them angry, people have been cooped up long enough and need to go back to work. If more people are getting vaccinated and wearing masks, then restrictions should ease up. This is going to have more people believe in dubious conspiracy theories and try to overthrow the government, we don’t need more chaos

I think it is ridiculous to not be outside. The government is silly to say that. You can't lock up in a house forever.Like going for a hike in the middle of the bush/woods. You can't get covid. Just social distance and if so wear a mask if passing someone. That's safer than a crowded shopping centre. I know our government allowed one hour of outside activities when we had strick lockdowns. I was out for two hours. Impossible to enforce. Like the cops would patrol the bush and know how long you are out for.

Eighty years ago, my grandfather was one of thousands of young Canadian soldiers who went off to war to help put an end to Fascism. And, unlike many of those brave soldiers, he made it back alive (although he did get a ship blown out from under him).
I'm just glad he's not alive now, to see what's happening in his own province. The evil he and so many others fought to destroy is alive and well.
And there is the threat of racial profiling (which some advocates have mentioned in the article), and God knows what else. Do we really want to risk another George Floyd?
If it's a fight, Fat Boy Dougie wants, then it's a fight he'll get. My grandfather was willing to fight Fascists in the cause of freedom, and so am I.
