Our restrictions also go up and down. You never know what goes at the moment. Some scientists say that it's better to be outside, because then the virus is not active but our government says to stay inside. Pretty contradictive in my eyes, and many people are slowly getting tired of all of this!! We don't see a light at the end of the tunnel! I agree. It is annoying and people are getting tired. I think it is ridiculous to not be outside. The government is silly to say that. You can't lock up in a house forever.Like going for a hike in the middle of the bush/woods. You can't get covid. Just social distance and if so wear a mask if passing someone. That's safer than a crowded shopping centre. I know our government allowed one hour of outside activities when we had strick lockdowns. I was out for two hours. Impossible to enforce. Like the cops would patrol the bush and know how long you are out for. Indeed, and I really did my biking last year to avoid being confined at home all day. You're going crazy then! Nowadays, I'm afraid to go out because of these restrictions. You really don't know what goes on, though I bike or hike still. But not that much as last year. Yet I'm working on it with a warmer weather outside.

Even the police themselves think this is going too far and some will not comply with these Gestapo type antics. Good for them.
The image of police forces have taken a beating since the George Floyd incident. They realize they work for the public, not against them.

Fat Boy Dougie is now in damage control mode.
Don't you just love it when a corrupt politician falls on his face.

Mum had her second vaccine today which went okay. She felt more of a pinch this time but nothing adverse obviously.
There were lots of people lying up outside the centre getting their first jabs then.
We'll see tomorrow what side effects she has this time if she has any of course.

That's so good to hear it went well Melinda HalliwellHoping my Mum's second dose in June will go well with the astrazeneca vaccine. Epecially with the blood cot cases coming in for both the astrazeneca and pfizer vaccines. Also the Johnson & Johnson one too now. But since it's been about a month since my mum had hers, and she is okay now. Fingers crosed dose two will go well. It's looking like I won't get my jab anytime soon. I checked my detail and I'm part of Phase 2B, which isn't until the earliest July or August. But since where about COVID normal now (have controled the virus after getting it rough end of last year with strick lockdown), it isn't an emergency to get vaccine into people asap like other countries worse off.

Of course, the AstraZeneca vaccine isn't built to tackle these variants coming in like the Indian one discovered recently so no doubt mum's age category will have to get booster shots for that obviously.
Fingers crossed I don't get any side effects next Weds when I have my second dose at work then.

Wanna bet that China deployed that variant in India. Relations between the two countries haven't been too cozy as of late (there was a border dispute not too long ago).

Had my second jab this morning. Will see how I am tomorrow then.
Can already feel slight pain in the area I was pricked.
My friend booked his first one today for May 6th locally where we live.

You're younger than me, Katherine and I'm still waiting here in Germany. We're really slow this time! *sighs* Hopefully it speeds up with the next month.

I'll likely not get my first jab until the last two or three months of the year. But I'm early 30s so I get the wait. But still it's a slow rollout here. I hope you get yours soon 40s should get their soons. How about you Tim? You got yours yet since you are in the 50s age group?
