Up north, they called it Bull Run. There were two battles fought there, I believe.
Yeah, Manassas was the other name for the battle but officially it’s called the Manassas Battlefield. It was very crowded with veterans groups and a big church group that chartered two buses, the battlefields see a lot of visitors during Federal holidays since they’re free and patriotic

I can see why veteran groups would visit such a site. And no doubt Civil War buffs do as well.

I can see why it’s popular with veterans groups but the church group was interesting since it was all teenagers and they seemed really enthusiastic. Normally teenagers hate history, but visiting a battlefield on a good guided tour is great experience

Mum and I got to the place we're vacationing at this weekend okay. The only problems we had which weren't major ones are we had to get a later train, unlike the one we would've got because that was canceled due to not many trains running on the line today and second we had to find the right carriage for our destination as the front and back parts of the train were dividing at an interim station going elsewhere so we had to be sure we weren't in the wrong section obviously.
The hotel's 10 mins walk from the station and 1 minute from somewhere we will have breakfast. We're not having that in the hotel because we don't like what's on offer.
Tomorrow we visit a castle in Arundel 30 mins train ride from Chichester which should be fun.

Well, today I decided to go to the Botanical Garden here again, just to enjoy it before the Easter egg hunt will start tomorrow. And yes, many people had the same idea but it was still quiet and all. And I took a lot of pictures again. Oh boy!

On my trip today to Arundel castle I took 191 pictures on my camera which is a lot then. Most of them are probably the same building but from different angles.

Yesterday, in Camburg, there were around 60 pictures (guessing only) and today definitely 100 with close up of some plants and two short videos of animals running around there.

Arundel Castle was lovely viewing and as big as Warick Castle which I haven't yet seen.
Today was a medieval and Tuplip event day so they had archery, crossbow shooting, and ax throwing which lots of kids tried.
The castle itself's up a hill whilst the garden which we saw later was further along.
It belongs to the Duke Of Norfolk dating back to 1067 when it was originally built.
We saw all the lower ground and top floor bedrooms.
It's still used by the current Duke today.
The garden out back was massive with a greenhouse in it.
We ate sandwiches we'd bought yesterday evening and had a pot of tea in the Castle cafe which was enormous and I took a photo.
The place closed at 5 so we went back to Chichester and had dinner there.
Tomorrow we visit Southampton a place I haven't yet seen.
It has a museum with information about the Titanic which I'd like to peruse then.

Our final day was spent in Southampton famous for its naval history and where the Titanic sailed on April 10th, 1912 then.
Quite a lot of places were closed being Easter Sunday but luckily that wasn't the museum we visited which told the Titanic story and the history of Southampton town in general.
After eating we looked around a Tudor townhouse and garden before walking down to the harbor area where people can get boats to the Isle Of Wight from.
We must leave our hotel around noon when we go home tomorrow from Chichester.
I've thought about keeping the power bank I rented which you can do for £30 if the unit isn't returned within 10 days because the company who supplies them will charge you the full renting price obviously. That may seem expensive but you can swap the power bank for another one anytime in the space of a year for nothing at a collecting station if the battery is low when you are out or it doesn't work anymore essentially having a new second-hand power bank each time swap of course.
Once the years up you would have to pay £30 again to be able to continue swapping power banks for new ones but then you are always guaranteed a working power bank due to the swap feature naturally.

Yep hard to believe a few days ago it's been 110 years since the sinking of the ship. If only certain things had been done differently more lives may have been saved.
Of course, things now have advanced and changed in the form of boat safety.
Back to work tomorrow morning.
