I'm certain Jordan's family will get through to him and he'll fight through Zeta Rho's possession of him leaving Clark either fighting Tar-Ro by himself or with Jordan powered up possibly.
Whatever it's nice seeing Tom Cavanagh directing the season finale.
He must be a Superman fan then?

Tom Cavanagh directed a great episode.
Well, everything came to a head. Clark had his final battle with Tar-Ro and this time, he managed to stop him for good. Of course, John Henry helped as well. Looks like that Kryptonite was destroyed, so no more Augments. And Tar-Ro was taken alive. I guess he'll be turned over to the DOD and placed in custody. I wonder if he'll have to stand trial.
And Lois manged to reach Jordan and free him from Zeta's control. Love of family comes first.
General Lane has decided to retire from the military, because he wants to spend more time with his family. Can't blame him.
Lois talks Chrissy our of selling the Smallville Gazette by buying half of it herself. Looks like the two of them will make a go of it.
And Lana and her family will be staying in Smallville. People are no longer shunning them. Of course, Kyle's heroic acts (he went into a burning building to save people) during Tar-Ro's attack did help get a lot of good will back on his side. Kyle has gotten his job at the Fire Department back.
Jor-El's "funeral" was touching.
And just as all was said and done, John's daughter, Natalie, arrives, alive. Of course, he is overjoyed, and so is she. Natalie then sees Lois and says "Mom?" Uh, this is gonna be awkward.
An excellent season finale.

Sounds great although I was slightly confused JH's daughter Natalie was alive when she died in his world.
No doubt I'll find out the answer after downloading and watching the episode unless that's answered in season 2 obviously.
At least Jonathan and Jordan get to meet their half-sister then naturally.

Oh man what a finale. I was crying so many times through it. Season ended on a high.
Absoutely loved the touching moments with the Kents wanting to find Jordan.
I loved Jonathan supporting Lois and having her back as she went into Jordan's mind to save him. What a touching moment where she convinced him that Zeta El is lying he isn't useless and he was freed of his possession.
Loved Jonathan and Jordan's brotherly hug.
I liked Lois using money to buy half the share of the Smallville paper so she and Chrissy are partners.
Kyle redeemed himself this season and truly got a good arc from unlikable to likeable. Lana and the family choosing to stay in Smallville.
And John Irons Daughter is alive and lands on the Kent Farm. Omg I was crying at the reunion. But my heart broke when she yelled Mom to Lois knowing she's not her mom but a different Lois on this earth.

Nice that Lois is doing this. She and Clark probably could have gone back to the Daily Planet (assuming that, since "Morgan Edge" was an imposter, all the changes he made were null and void), but Smallville is their home now.
Since no one is treating them like pariahs anymore.
Yeah, that's gonna be awkward.

So, finally caught up now. Wow, what a finale!! Smallville really has its up and downs here. At first, all against the army while Lois is so worried about her boy and Clark can't find him. When he does, he's confronted with his own possessed son. Onto Plan B. While Lois and Jonathan try to reach Jordan, Superman and Steele do the same with Edge. Thankfully, they win this battle, both sides. Lois could reach her boy and bring him back. Kyle and his family are helping General Lane and do more for this small town while the General finally changes his priority. Thank God! Glad as well that the Cushings are staying and that Chrissy and Lois are buying the newspapers. Yay! The funeral of Jor-El was nice, and well, now comes John's daughter Natalie and calls, naturally, Lois "Mom". This is going to get complicated! Can't wait to see how it goes on!

Great finale. Definitely lighter in tone, which I loved. And the arc ended ten whole minutes, with the rest letting us see the aftermath and our characters relaxing, before the cliffhanger. I love shows that do that, than wrapping up the arc, and then cliffhanger.
Kyle's redemption was handled well. What a change.
I really do love Steel helping Superman out. At the same time, letting Superman always take lead, but being a true ally. Not like Supergirl, where they often let the supporting cast do too much, and outshine the real star Supergirl.
Jordan’s breakdown was a great homage to the pilot with his anxiety and mental health struggles. Hopefully they continue to explore them and their potential impact on his abilities.
Bitsie Tulloch absolutely KILLS it as Lois. I know she claims to not be able to relate with her on that level due to only having a toddler, but could've fooled me. The parenting and family dynamics have been the most refreshing thing about the show. Though we definitely need more Clark and Jonathan moments.
Very sad scene at the Fortress of Solitude and burying Jor-El. Hopefully it’s not the last we see of either things.
Was definitely not expecting that ending. Definitely a different dynamic to explore next season, and what of Evil Superman??? Most likely will be revisiting Lois’ miscarriage, which I can already predict will be gut-wrenching. Will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
This is such a great show with so much heart and a lot of well-paced out emotional beats that get you in the feels.
The writing is so mature and real and human, and I sincerely hope they keep it up at this level.
Give this show all the Saturn Awards!

Looking forward to S2. I'm for sure buying the S1 boxset when its out, so I can re-watch it two months before S2 starts.

Acting was so good in the finale. So many great moments.
Yet again Jon was fantastic helping Lois to get Jordan back. So many emotional family moments. I loved how hard Jon tried to get through to Jordan, and Lois providing the last touch going into his mind, to bring him back.
Lana running for mayor, most here have speculated, it feels like that's where we might go in S2.
Unexpected Jor-El funeral was unexpected. Looks like this show is moving past the Fortress and Jo-El being a A.I to help Clark on his journey. He is in his early 40s, so maybe they feel he has outgrown it, and can teach the lessons he learned from him to his sons now.
Natalie landing in a pod on the Kent farm was a beautiful surprise. I got teary it was well acted.
I’m really hoping Jordan doesn’t have the ability to fly yet and that was just let over from the possession. It’s way too early for him to be flying, and it’s make him over powered too soon. I'd save flying for WAY into the future, like when he graduates high school, or even the last season.
What a great show. Only hope is that they maintain this quality and don't slip into typical CW/WB quality, which does tend to happen after a season or two.

Considering it's Superman's show he should be the star of it with people like Lois, Jonathan, Jordan, and the others Sam, Kyle, Lana, Sarah, etc as supporting cast meaning they don't outshine him as the Supergirl cast have her so yes Jordan's abilities shouldn't be on par with Clark's yet but on their way with dad teaching him how to use whatever he gets each time obviously.
Of course, the show could go down a similar route Smallville did where Clark didn't fly till season 10 because he hadn't accepted his destiny yet and was afraid of heights also then so he just sped around everywhere although some older fans won't want the same thing happening they'd seen before understandably.
Being young also S&L could say Jordan's abilities won't mature until he's an adult like Clark's did but certain people may not want to wait for that to happen however long S&L runs for and think Jordan's powers would have to be fully fleshed out season 3 onwards then.
