And there's no other coach company in the city that does onward travel I'm assuming?
As I said I'll be in Oxford Saturday and will do the city sightseeing bus and a boat ride up the river then so you'll hear all about that in the evening or Sunday naturally.

Not that I know of.
And where would they be based, since the station is gone.

WOW! Your kidding me, do you live in a small town Tim. I only ask, because I've never come across literally no buses or train services near a town at all, unless its in the middle of nowhere. I'm so sorry Tim.
You don't have family or friends who can drive you and you pay then 20 dollars cab fair for a good deed?
I have family who live pretty remote near the country, but there's at least one train service they can take to get out of town, they don't have any bus services though.

Actually, I live in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada. And we still do have a train service, but I don't know how much it costs. I should look into that, I guess.
I did have a friend that drove me places (I would help pay for gas). Unfortunately, she, and her husband, relocated to another part of the country, a few months ago.

My daytrip to Oxford was good. Mum and I arrived after 12 and ate lunch before taking the open tour bus around town.
We went on the boat ride up the river later where a boat regatta had being held earlier.
Afterwards we looked round the shopping centre before taking the train back to Paddington.
Unfortunately we didn't visit all the colleges as there's so many of them or go inside Oxford Castle plus any museums as you'd need a second or third day to do those of course.

Nice that you had fun.
Oxford is known for it's famous university.

It is yes Tim although the many colleges dotted around Oxford are associated with that obviously.
Also, this was the place where Penicillin was introduced and founded naturally.
Another thing known for Oxford is the fact the place was the headquarters for Charles I's royalists, Richard I and his brother John were born in Beaumont Palace, and William Morris founded the Morris Motor car company in Cowley then.
And famous faces went to the colleges there including Lewis Carroll, JR Tolkien, Percy Shelley, Tony Blair, and Boris Johnson coincidentally.
Lewis Carroll, JR Tolkien, and Percy Shelley used to meet up in the Eagle And Child pub once a month and share what they'd written at the time actually.

Interesting.
Of course, Percy Shelley has been somewhat eclipsed by his young wife and a certain book she wrote.

Mum and I like Christmas Markets as much people here know so this year we've just booked to visit Winchester Christmas Market with a coach company we've used before on another Xmas Market that we normally do which due to COVID 19 has been cancelled a second year running unfortunately.
Another Christmas Market we looked at Bath which we'd also not visited before has been cancelled a second year going due to lack of enough staff policing the event so this market was the other option then.
If it's cancelled our tickets can be transferred to another trip of the same value used at a later date.
Coach pick up and drop off is a just a bus ride away from 9-7 pm giving us 6 hours around Winchester including eating.
It'll be interesting seeing what the place looks like and going inside the Cathedral which I hear is nice looking from online pictures I've seen of it.
The market itself is in the outdoor square inside the Cathedral surrounding's obviously and of course has a town centre with other shops to browse as well.
Not liking it we won't go back again naturally.
Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park is open but this year you'll have to book timed entries to regulate people going in and out then which will cost this time instead of free entry though Christmas Market By The River down the Southbank will be free as usual including the Xmas lights down Oxford and Regent Street plus Carnaby Street to that we normally peruse.

I know but Xmas Market coach trips sell out quickly so you have to book early.
Considering what happened last year it's good to look and see what's on this year earlier otherwise we wouldn't know about having to book now for Winter Wonderland instead of just turning up like we normally do then.

People like Christmas Markets in the UK and if it's a popular one like Bath, Winchester, or Bury St Edmund's then they book early to avoid not getting a spot naturally.
Going by coach means they don't have to drive there themselves and have the bother of finding parking spaces which fill up quickly or get trains which for mum and I would've been three plus a bus from our house to the nearest mainline station to start with obviously.
We normally take a shopping trolley with us also encase we buy things so if that's heavy then it can stay in the coach hold till we get back to the drop-off area meaning we won't have to walk far after getting the bus back home which stops 20 mins away from our house then.

Coach means bus, right?
They should have Halloween things as well, IMO.

I took a trip up London and done a bus tour around the capital but not on an open top decked one but ordinary buses on a select route swapping and changing using my Oyster which was cheaper than the first obviously.
The journey started in Piccadilly Circus and went via Kensington Palace, Cromwell Road where the History, Science, and V&A Museums are before heading to Baker Street and Trafalgar Square lastly finishing at the Tower Of London then.
It was intended to journey onto Waterloo then back into Piccadilly to do a West End audio theater tour I'd downloaded narrated by Sir Ian McKellen but due to traffic didn't have the time and so took a boat back to Greenwich from Tower Pier instead before heading home subsequently.
Of course the latter can be done some time otherwise.
I suppose I should've anticipated London traffic before going out and actually thought things through prior to doing them like my friend texted so I guess I won't be doing that anytime soon again although it did get me out of the house for a day at least.
