Perhaps I should re-title this thread to "CW Screwed".

Good idea, Tim!
Surely Walker's next to be renewed. I can see why Superman and Lois would wait until S3 starts in March, so we might not hear on S&L until May Upfronts.

S&L will probably start once The Winchesters finishes its season.

This is the last thing our remaining shows on the CW need (coming on the heels of the writer's strike). How can you watch your show if you cannot receive the channel it's on anymore?
Granted it won't affect me, as most of my CW shows are carried by Canadian channels, but those in the U.S. won't be so lucky.

Superman and Lois have to be one of the two returning. If it isn't, I'll be heartbroken.
But I'm very concerned about the Winchesters, it might end up being canceled and they'll renew All Amerian: Homecoming because its cheaper to make.

No loss with the Walker spin-off since I never watched it. I'm really worried about the other shows. So happy Walker is coming back.
Insane to think I'll be down to maybe 1 or 2 CW shows next season.

Yeah, that's the elephant in the room, the new owners of the CW are, let me do my bird imitation: CHEAP! CHEAP! CHEAP!
Superman & Lois has really only one hurdle, it's made in Vancouver, a city that the CW can't withdraw from fast enough (note that all Vancouver based shows have ended, or will be ending this season, like the Flash, Nancy Drew, and Riverdale). In short, it seems the CW wants all it's productions filmed in the U.S.
While the pilot of Gotham Knights was filmed in Toronto, production moved to Atlanta, Georgia, once it went to series. Even though, it's still at risk, because shows like this rely on special F/X, which cost money. One has to wonder why they even picked this show up, unless the deal was made before the sale happened.
That Walker spin-off was doomed from Day One, because it didn't have Jared's star power behind it. A lot of his fans followed him over from SPN. No Jared, no fans watching.
I too hope The Winchesters gets a second season. It's filmed in the U.S. (New Orleans) and they can cut back the F/X if need be.

You nailed it. I agree with all these takes. It's going to all come down to money. That doesn't put Superman and Lois as win with it being outside the US. If it returns it might go the way of Charmed S8 with a reduced budget and 10 episode order and less Superman scenes. Since the new owners of the CW are cheap. They already seem keen to want more non scripted content and buying non American made shows to fill the network. As much as I don't care or watch All American. It's spin-off may well be a guarantee at this point because it's cheap to make with no special effects.

Of course, only two slots means we'll lose one of these three shows, Superman & Lois, Gotham Knights, or The Winchesters.
If asked, I'd be willing to sacrifice Knights. Oh, I like it, just that compared to the other two shows, it's found wanting by me.

Another thing that might have done Walker Independence in, aside from not having Jared's star power, is that it was a period set show (the 19th Century). Such a show requires sets and costumes for that time, and that costs money. Something the now El Cheapo CW is no longer willing to spend.
