If one DC show must go, then let it be Gotham Knights.
It wouldn't surprise me one bit if the Cheap Wankers welcomed the writer's strike. Another excuse to fill their schedule with reality garbage.

If S&L was canceled I'm sure a riot amongst fans and a protest would happen. That shows too popular for anything not to be said if it happened then whereas Gotham Knights has only been on one season of course.

I've said it before, and now I'll say it again. This sale should have been stopped.
Anyway, I've re-titled the thread to show how I feel about this.

Yeah they're so freaking cheap. To think it could be money not success that kills S&L. Yet garbage TV keeps getting produced year after year with lower ratings. All because it's cheaper to make.

Makes you wonder why they even bothered to pick up such shows like The Winchesters and Gotham Knights.

Hollywood Reporter: Nextstar Entertainment President Brad Schwartz, sources say, wants to keep at least one DC show on the network with a move to HBO Max possible for the veteran (and pricey) Superman & Lois. Sources say The CW’s early renewal decision for All American was part of Nexstar’s deal with Warners as the studio continues to profit from the show’s lucrative streaming deal with Netflix for the series from exec producer Greg Berlanti. Also returning is Walker, with a 13-episode order that will keep star Jared Padalecki on the network and CBS Studios with at least one original on what remains of The CW. All American: Homecoming and the DC Comics dramas Superman & Lois and rookie Gotham Knights remain on the bubble as sources say The CW and Warners are reviewing costs for all three programs. Homecoming, it’s worth noting, also has a lucrative streaming deal for Warners with Netflix. Schwartz, sources say, wants to keep at least one DC show on the network with a move to HBO Max possible for the veteran (and pricey) Superman & Lois. Other sources note that no matter how many homegrown originals The CW winds up with, none will feature episode counts of more than 13, with Walker already confirmed for its shortest order to date.www.hollywoodreporter.com/tv/tv-news/the-cw-new-strategy-explained-1235486774/

Kung Fu is out of the running. From Wikipedia:
Another Vancouver filmed show bites the dust.
I think that makes S&L the last CW show to film there. I hate to say this, but it's not looking good right now.

I love the thread name, it fits. I wish they didn't bother ordering Gotham Knights, and just gave Legends a final season instead. Kung Fu is out of the running. From Wikipedia:

Yeah, not looking good. I've been so sad this week, with the fear of S&L's survival chances. I'm even more nervous they'll pick up Gotham Knights over S&L, because its cheaper than S&L. And there's no licensing for existing characters. Must be why Knights created new characters than using proper Batman lore characters like Dick, Damien etc.

They're cheap. It's how to produce garbage reality for easy money without the effort.

I don't even understand how they're rationalising this at all, do they think that everyone that usually watches their shows is just going to then tune in to their reality TV crap? Because of course the same people who watch The Flash, Walker and Kung Fu will OBVIOUSLY be just as interested in whatever Real Housewives clone they start producing? Its so odd, the demographics do not correlate at all.

Logic is a foreign concept to the Cheap Wankers. Cost cutting is all their care about, and if that means getting rid of their successful shows, then so be it.
Wonder how long before the Cheap Wankers go bankrupt?

Read rumours CW may pick up Gotham Knights over S&L because it's much cheaper to make. S&L's only chance to survive could be moving to streaming.
