And that wall is never going back up, no matter what Vlad wants.

At this point, if Zelensky agrees to some of Putin’s terms during the talks in Belarus, I wouldn’t blame him. Russian warships are heading towards the port of Odessa on the Black Sea, Kharkiv in eastern Ukraine is nomes to rubble and Russian soldiers are fighting near a nuclear power plant. It’s not cowardice on his part, he wouldn’t want more of his people killed or nuclear devastation. Plus the reports of Russian soldiers not knowing where they’re at and the protests in Russia show that most Russians don’t want this either, Putin should back down but he’s bat-shit crazy

That is a BAD idea. One misplaced shot and you have Chernobyl 2.0

They were already in the Chernobyl area. If Putin wants to use also nuclear weapons, also not a good idea. We don't need a repeat of the Cold War, again.

Putin is no longer a leader, he is a war criminal.
For decades, Russia has held up Operation Barbarossa as an example of the "evil" West. Well, they no longer have that high ground. What Putin is doing now is just as bad as anything the Germans did in Russia, 80 years ago, IMO.

Saw a documentary about Putin and his thinking about history. He definitely wants the Russian Empire back, with the Ukraine and Belarus included. Still, even the history shows that all countries have their own history.
And yeah, some things reminded me of Hitler and Co. back in WW II. *sighs* History repeats itself.

And guess who would be Tsar of this reborn Russian Empire.
We know that, but Vlad seems to think they're all one people. He can't understand why the Ukrainians are fighting him on this. He thought they'd be happy to come back to Mother Russia. He was wrong.

Putin may be mad, but his people aren't. Time for the Russian military to do what it did in 1917.

When it comes down to it, it'd be like a "brotherly" fight. Now this time the Russian's president doesn't tell the truth to his soldiers and well, the whole world. It's a crime against humanity.

This is 2022, not World War II.
Yet, what the Russians are doing now is the same thing they co-prosecuted the Nazi leaders for doing at Nuremberg.

Yeah, I have often here a sense of deja vu. Like Putin's explanation and all. This whole war has to stop and also the crimes against humanity.

These are the same kind of crimes the Nazis committed in World War II. Yes, it's in a much smaller space, but that does not lessen the crime.

I've been keeping track of the events re: Putin's invasion of Ukraine this year and let me tell you guys that it's just gotten worse especially when the Bucha massacre took place. For one thing, if you check the posts in r/Ukraine, you will find that the amount of war crimes have doubled and have become much more grotesque. Of course I cannot post the exact details here because of our existing forum rules and the fact that this forum has a general audience.
Though my country doesn't have a huge Ukrainian immigrant community, I have still contributed to the humanitarian efforts to Ukraine through the various legit donation drives. There was one done by Humble Bundle where they sold 100+ video game titles for a discounted price where all the proceeds will be donated to the Ukrainian Red Cross (from what I recall). I'm also donating to Maya's Hope (a US-based charity that has been donating to special needs children in Ukraine even before the invasion this year) at a monthly basis.

This is on par with what the Nazis did, 80 years ago.
For decades, Russia has touted their great victory over Nazi Germany (the Great Patriotic War). They no longer have that right, IMO.

When even people born Russian and living in Odessa question this "war", there's a lot wrong in the country. And many Russian families are torn apart over this.
