And we don't have to worry about actor availability.

Yes, that does help of course.
I always thought it wrong how someone as important as John was written out after one season but do know Jeffery had other projects going on at the same time also like Grey's Anatomy and so had to give something up that being Supernatural overall.
At least he, Sam, Mary, and Dean all reunited in a later episode and had proper closure themselves.

I am glad we got the 300th episode for proper closure!

I wonder if the 300th episode might be used in ours differently where It's Mary brought back with the wish and spends time with Sam, Dean and John before they have to reset it back.

Yeah, we can have the characters on longer than they were with the show.
Just as what we're doing with John.

I wonder if the 300th episode might be used in ours differently where It's Mary brought back with the wish and spends time with Sam, Dean and John before they have to reset it back. That we can do. Do the opposite of the show. With John alive in the present. Mary appears infront of the boys once that wish/spell was used, then they call John who reunites with her.
Although, it could be an episode later in the series when John has passed. So they reunite with BOTH their parents. Wishing they had their parents. But, once they learn the world is starting to change due to their presence, they sadly have to send them back.
I still prefer the final episode ending as would've happened if it wasn't for COVID. Dean reuniting with John and Mary in heaven. We won't have that problem due to actor availability not being an issue. We can have Dean and Sam reuniting with everybody in the Roadhouse. We can include as many characters as we want. Which they wanted to do, but alas COVID ruined their original ending plans.
Yeah, we can have the characters on longer than they were with the show.

That's right. We sure can do that.

That's right. We sure can do that. Great ideas! I'm sure we'll figure out a nice spot to have that episode occur. Yeah, that would be my ideal ending. Feature everybody. We don't have any issues with COVID or actor availability.

We sure can. It's one benefit and the fun of fanfiction and virtual series. We'll never have those issues. Of course COVID changed plans likely for how Dean died. I'm sure we won't have those issues and can have him die (if we stick to the ending the show did). Go out in a blaze of glory in something bigger.

What Tim said. Go ahead. Feel free to even pitch ideas anytime or contribute yourself when you've caught up.
I'm thinking of watching the Winchesters after all. I'll just keep in mind this is likely from another universe. Also doesn't hurt to watch it to get some ideas for SDOW. I hear we might see Rowena or some of our old demons lurking around back then. Of course, unlike them, I know we'll stick to John not knowing about hunting until after Mary died. But there's every chance for us since Missouri had run into Mary before as a hunter, that she can shed some light on something the two might've done when they were younger. That could be what I might look out for with ideas to use the Winchesters for flashbacks only. We'll see.

I decided to watch it Sunday but will go in with an open mind. Yeah, it really might be fun to be inspired by it for stories on SDOW. Like you Sunday. I prefer us sticking to the lore that John doesn't know about hunting until after Mary died. But I didn't think about it like that but you're right about Missouri and Mary knowing each other. That could open the door for us possibly doing some flashback episodes if they fit. I know the Winchesters are going to FINALLY show us John's mother. She was meant to appear on the show in an episode, but could not figure out how. They thought about the actress Louise Fletcher would have been the right actress for the role of Millie. As Fletcher is over 80 years old, this casting choice indicates that Millie's actress would have played an aged version of the character in the present day had an episode with her in it. Maybe we'll get to do that. Our John is still alive currently. So there's every chance that she could reconnect with son and grandsons.

I do like the idea of us figuring out how to use her. Perhaps when John dies that could be what draws her back in. Maybe she really hated the idea of John becoming a hunter after Mary's death. Maybe its John who confessed that Mary was one too to his mother. Maybe that's where they stopped talking to each other for years. And she already had another son, we talked about John having a brother who became a Men of Letter or joined the British ones to investigate their fathers disappearance.

Maybe the Winchesters will just give us some more inspiration into his relationship with his mother that we could use for ours.
