Glad to hear that. I need to work on my bones with some cream again. Through the new work, they grow again (arms) and well, we're not getting younger.

I've started this thread to give people updates on how Mum's coping since leaving Queens Hospital Tuesday rather than the general steam-off thread so if my other posts could be moved here by one of the moderators that would be much appreciated.
Anyway, she's still in considerable pain despite taking strong painkillers and ibuprofen combination three times a day.
She still can't walk far so I'm having to help her to and from the toilet plus up and down the stairs.
We don't have a downstairs toilet if anyone's asking.
I've had to dig out my sister's old wheelchair from our shed for Mum to use when we're out so she can get around otherwise she would be in all the time which isn't good for her then.
I'm off work the next couple of weeks being the Easter school holidays so I can focus on her.
We've cancelled having my sister home for the weekend which we normally do around this time because of the situation currently but will still see her Sunday like always.
Our plans for Mum's holiday will probably change depending on how she is next Friday with us not taking the train but me driving up to Skegness instead and using my sister's wheelchair so Mum still gets away and enjoys her birthday as we can't get a refund despite having a cancellation clause included as Butlins don't refund money for 7 days or less.
We'll lose £66 train fare but that's not much compared to £315 for the room and half board we've got at Butlins obviously.

Thank you, Tim.
The rubber on my sister's old wheelchair wheels has come off because they were peeling having not been used in many years so my friend and I will replace those with bike tyres and inner tubes which we measured to fit so I won't need to get a new wheelchair for Mum temporarily as the chair itself is fine obviously.
I'm also purchasing a Zimmer Frame from a local charity shop I saw yesterday for around £12 that will get Mum to move around the house independently without holding onto doors or worktops so she doesn't have to ask me either and keep her legs going as well then.

Oh boy, not a good development for your Mom, Katherine.
Still wishing the best and it'll be better soon.

So today I bought Mum a Zimmer Frame from one of our local charity shops which has wheels on the front and stoppers on the back which has enabled her to get to the kitchen and back with support and do things herself without my help.
Mum's also being able to get to the stairs and toilet up there as well.
She's walked the length of our lounge to kitchen and back a few times which has helped to the pain dull slightly because of the strength getting into her legs so I've told her to keep that up then.
My friend and I managed to put new wheels on the chair by buying 2 bike tyres plus inner tubes the size of the original ones which he fitted on for us being a lot cheaper than purchasing a whole new chair essentially so we'll see how they go next week obviously.

I managed to get Mum an emergency appointment with our doctor's surgery this morning who prescribed Naproxen and the medication for her stomach again along with some paracetamol also for a whole month total.
The lady said for Mum to max out on the paracetamol 2 tablets in the morning with the Naproxen and stomach tablets then take two more paracetamol 4-6 hours later and 2 in the evening along with Naproxen again.
If that doesn't work then Codine can be added which Mum was given as well because I mentioned we were going away this Friday for the weekend being her birthday.
Will go back if nothing improves obviously.
