In celebration of Christmas what is everyone's favourite songs here? The one's you listen to year after year which I thought we could all share with one another. My one is here. m.youtube.com/watch?v=8NLLAeNhH3k'Do They Know It's Christmas' by Band Aid that's my mum's favourite also. The original mind not the remakes which I can't stand obviously.

Yep, the one mentioned before, along with Wham's "Last Christmas", Albert Hammond's "Under the Christmas Tree" and Slade's "Merry X-Mas Everybody"! That's all my favorite.

Yeah, I always have to decorate three artificial Christmas trees and then back again in January. Thankfully, this year I'm with my Mom.

You may have noticed the table beneath my tree all cluttered up with stuff.
That's to keep Tatiana from getting up there.

Yes, I did wonder how you had that up without her potentially knocking it down then.
Does Tatiana try and do that every year Tim?

We had a traditional TV show in the GDR which always run on Christmas Day, called "Between Breakfast and Roast Goose". Was always fun to watch, especially the new versions of the fairy tales, GDR style. lol

Like all your choices of Christmas songs Vanessa though my favorite is the one, I posted at the top of this thread 'Do They Know It's Christmas' by Band-Aid. Our Christmas tree lit up then.

Watched the Queen's Christmas broadcast, as I do every year.
One thing she mentioned was the D-Day Invasion (this year was the 75th Anniversary of that event), and it occurred to me. Queen Elizabeth II is the only head of state who was actually alive during D-Day (she said her father, King George VI, knew of the plan, but, of course, couldn't talk about it). It was an interesting perspective.

That sounds cool, of course we wouldn't get the Queen's Christmas address here since we're not a Commonwealth country. I doubt she would have known about the plans for D-Day as a teenage princess but it's great she acknowledged it, and thanks to Canada for being a great partner at Juno Beach, unfortunately a lot of Yanks don't realize America didn't do D-Day on our own.

BBC America might have carried her broadcast.
And it will probably turn up on YouTube. So you can still catch it if you want.
