I'll have to edit them first, I'll have more time when the semester ends and before the next one starts. The stories reflect what I was obsessed with at the time and I'm also a huge music geek so that shows up a lot

Take your time, Vanessa, there's no rush.

One thing I've noticed on Fanfiction.net is that many stories just stop, without being completed. I hate that. If you're not gonna finish your story, take it down.
I also hate stories that lumber on for YEARS, with no end in sight. I've seen stories that have been going on for more than five years now. Someone starting high school when the first chapter was posted is now starting college when the latest one is posted. Why does it take these authors so bloody long!?

Yeah, that's what I hate too. Sometimes I send a PM to the author and ask for a new chapter/an end if they answer that is but sometimes, I could just .

Unfortunately that happens with me, if I don't get feedback or I'm not inspired I get discouraged I end up dropping the story. I tend to work in spurts when I'm inspired and when I'm not, I read a lot of books instead. Few people seemed to read my stuff on FF.net or AO3 so I got discouraged, I need to feel that someone likes my stuff and it's not totally weird.

I've done that a few times myself. Most of the time, the author never replies.
Well, you do have an audience here, Vanessa.

Thanks, Tim. I'm just going to be very busy with school and work, I'm still working on the next chapter and updates are going to be more sporadic until the semester ends in May.

Yeah, the same will go for my S7. Still working on chapter 12, and you know my rule: Never post before ended. Written and typed. So, have patience here as well.

That's the best way to do it, Jana. Write it, proofread and edit it (to get rid of any mistakes and such), and then put it up.
I do the same with my stories.
Matt and I have been floating an idea for my Rex and Hannah to make a cameo appearance in his Blessed series. Nothing is certain quite yet though.
Both Matt and I have much in common with our series, in that we've based them on well known Sci-Fi/Horror authors that we're fans of. Matt has used the works of Stephen King for Blessed, while I use H.P. Lovecraft for the Rex and Hannah Chronicles.
And, Stephen King is a confessed fan of Mr. Lovecraft himself.

I was wondering how people like to write and where, I like to write while watching concert DVDs or YouTube vids. I find that watching people make and perform music stimulates my writing, right now I'm watching a Led Zeppelin concert DVD turned up loud, it's the one with all the different concerts, not The Song Remains the Same. Does anyone else watch or listen to something while writing?

I often do it while having the TV on in the background. The noise somehow helps.
