And, unlike Scully, Macy won't be abducted and implanted with a chip
No doubt we'll find out as the show goes on.
That she will not. Unless she is abducted by a demon, and implanted with something demonic. LOL I look forward to it. I know The CW is re-airing the pilot after Supernatural this week, but I'm not sure if Canada is doing the same. It would be nice to re-watch it again with a second viewing, now that I've seen it once, I can go in and pick up on stuff.

I'm not sure. Does your cable package include an On Demand service. You might find the pilot there.

It does include On Demand service, I'll check. If so, I might re-watch it alongside the second episode, watch both back to back. That would be fun.

I found a copy online in HD I downloaded. Although, I'm glad I did, as the links normally do not work after a week. So I've marked my calendar and will check the usual site I go to every week after it airs in the USA.
I LOVED the pilot. I'm so glad, I have a safe place online to discuss it, without being yelled at by fans of the original.
Some parts, I agree the pacing may be a little off. But It didn't affect my enjoyment. Okay, some lines were corny. But I really loved Maggie and Macy. Loved that Macy is a Scientist.
The political stuff wasn't as heavy as I thought it was going to be.
I personally really didn't have anything against Macy moving in so fast. This isn't the same situation with Piper, Phoebe, and Paige. Macy is not replacing a dead sister like Prue. When Paige meet her sisters, it took a while for them to warm up to her, because she didn't want them to feel like she was only around to replace Prue, who died. So I'm looking at it from a different point of view.
Harry was a little over the top, but he will grow. It was so fresh, to have him being older, and not just bring in another young hot guy to be like Leo 2.0.
I'm with others who suggested, that the mother didn't send them the message. That would be the best misdirect, in order for the sisters not to trust Harry. Seeing as from some promotional images, he's working with them still in the Halloween episode. It appears that prediction might well be true.

Check the W Channel on your On Demand. That is where it will be.
I agree. Macy isn't replacing a beloved family member. She is, in a sense, someone new to the family.

Check the W Channel on your On Demand. That is where it will be. Success! Cannot wait to re-watch it. I actually might sit another week, and watch both episodes 1, 2 & 3 again back-to-back next weekend. Just so I can sit back and watch a number of episodes in a row, and follow the story, see how I feel again.
I think so too. It felt just about right, of course, in episode 2 we have a conflict with Mel and Macy over who is the older sister with Maggie in the middle. I also look forward to seeing more of their manor, I'm just as fascinated to see them roaming around in more episodes, so we the viewers can see more rooms and such. I want to see their kitchen and bedrooms. Call me curious, to wanting a set tour video to leak with a full tour of the house set.

I thought you'd find it there, Katie. W has the Canadian broadcast rights, after all.
I'm sure we'll see more of their house in the episodes to come.

I recently watched this episode and do have to agree with other posters that it was rushed and too fast-paced but am willing to this show a chance and see where it goes lying ahead.
Obviously, I preferred Phoebe saying the spell originally in Classic Charmed than Marisol unbinding Mel, Maggie, and Macy's powers though I did like it when she said there were three speech.
I also didn't like Macy moving into the house quicker than Paige did originally.
And Harry revealing himself too early were wrong which I also preferred Leo didn't do in the original show.
Although I did like the house though. The interior/exterior settings. Love the look of old properties and remember that one from WOEE.
I did think what use was Maggie's telepathy in predetermining future innocents unless Harry informs them or they do it like Jean Grey from X Men instead when she touches someone's forehead and foresees a future event that way perhaps.

The big difference is that Macy was new in town, while Paige had been living in S.F. the whole time. No doubt that contributed to Macy moving in faster.

Watched now the pilot - finally and online since I worked yesterday at that time. Anyway, it felt way too rushed and all news were told like with a hammer, especially from Harry, their whitelighter. Their powers are similar to the original COs, still it didn't feel good but I will give it another chance with more episodes.
