Yep she sure does, and I like seeing her struggle with her belief system, as it is only natural to feel that way. In the pilot, Nancy stated that she didn't believe in ghosts. Now she's having to reevaluate that position.
Of course, she follows the clues that the ghosts have left for her. I didn't know the actor playing Bess was in fact British. I guess they did let her use her natural accent. Sometimes, I don't know why shows don't just let them use their natural accent, unless being American is specific to the character. I don't think it should matter. I wonder if this is the reason why they cast this actor. They planned to reveal her character was British all along.

The season is getting interesting. And glad it got picked up for 22 episodes, but I'm hoping this long mystery, wraps up in one season, and not a carry-over.

Surely not.
In fact, I wouldn't mind if they had Nancy solve this mystery and set up another. Since ghosts and such exist, this opens the way for Nancy to get involved in all sorts of fun stuff.

Agreed. She has so much she can explore doesn't she. Another problem, with shows today, they like to drag out stories, not like back in the day, when the only arc you got was a two-parter or three-parter, not a long arc drawn out.

Very interesting episode. I actually loved a more standard Nancy story, with a case of the week. Of course, that is how the original novels (and previous TV and movie incarnations) played out. They were all stand alone. Nancy investigated the crime, solved the mystery, the villian was caught. The end.
It was the CW that made this into a serialized show. This is why it's taking Nancy so long to solve the murders of Tiffany Hudson and Dead Lucy (who were most likely killed by the same person).
As I said, Dead Lucy will probably leave once Nancy solves her murder.
I'm not surprised, CW and television in general is all about serialized stories. But, I always believe you can have it both ways. I do expect Dead Lucy to leave when Nancy solves the murder.

Some good news. Nancy Drew IS back this week with a new episode. Looks like they decided to just air the rest of the episodes after all, and didn't call it a season as was previously speculated. Only two more episodes left and that's really it from all the episodes filmed. So Season 1 will be 18 episodes.

Glad that Nancy gets to finish her season. Of course, they're pretty much wrapped up the major storylines.

Me too. Even though, they could have held these off until S2. I'm glad we're getting more though.

I guess when Season Two starts, we'll get a new mystery.

And what about Nancy and Carson. She made it clear that she does NOT want to see him.
Can't say I blame her.

I don't blame Nancy at all. I'm sure Carson will keep trying, but that will be all part of S2.

Well, he did lie to Nancy her whole life. Even if his and Kate's motives were good, it still hurt for Nancy to find this out the way she did. The ghost that has been haunting her all season is her birth mother.
No doubt Carson will keep trying, but, one can't blame Nancy for telling him to get lost.

I don't blame Nancy at all. He can keep at it, but Nancy needs her space.
