Something the Charmed reboot could've or still could take a leaf out of season 3 also.

Forget the Charmed reboot, that ship has sailed.
Nancy Drew is a much better show. If the CW wants a good supernatural show, here it is.

Me too. I actually enjoy this show. It's so much better. Now, The CW has one CBS produced show that is doing so well, and one I hope stays so they meet their CBS requirements.

Looks like Nancy is going to try and get along with Carson. I wonder if she'll ever call him "Dad" again?

Nancy has this HUGE bomb dropped on her, and she's not going to quickly get over it.
And the only reason Nancy found out was because the ghost of her birth mother, Dead Lucy, starting pointing her in the right direction. If that hadn't happened, would Carson have continued to keep the truth from her?

I've only just started watching it, I'm three episodes into it... I'll admit that at first, I was a bit put off by it, mostly because of the sex scenes: I'm sorry, but I grew up with Nancy as a kid, and apart from some mild kissing and hugging in some of the later books, there was nothing about Nancy's love life... So it was a bit of shock at first, but I'm slowly getting over it... This is a more modern Nancy Drew, I guess... But I'm not happy about how much they've changed the characters: I can understand changing a bit, but they've changed almost everyone... It would have been nice if they could have kept some of their original characteristics, such as Bess being a bit plump... That would have been some representation for curvy girls... Especially since Bess was never really bothered by it.
I'm also a bit put off by the supernatural element of the show: usually, I love anything a bit spooky, but with Nancy there is always an explanation, or you get to decide for yourself whether or not it was real.
I did like the third episode, though, since that one contained so many literary references, both to classical literature, and to the Nancy Drew games and books... I also think they chose the right actress for Nancy herself, they did a really good job there.
Overall, so far, I'm not a big fan, but I'm willing to keep on...

Yeah, this is new to the Nancy Drew franchise.
However, it does play a key element in the storyline. And that's all I'm going to say, as to not give anything away (assuming you haven't been reading the episode threads and such).

Yes, I have been carefully avoiding spoilers
