I figured since this is a crossover for five shows. We should maybe have one thread to discuss all the shows. Since they are all connected. Just easier for discussions for all five shows. So Titans the series is now Earth 9, saw Jason Todd and Hank. Anyone notice all the cameos guys. So many: Figured Erica Durance's character as Kara's mother would die. Also Earth X from a past crossover is now gone. I have to admit, I might just have to re-watch this, so much happened, hard to keep track of what was happening. LOL I loved Kara and Clarks scene talking about letting Krypton's memory exist. I loved seeing all the heroes working together. Did anyone get emotional with Earth 38 being wiped out, I sure did. Are we to assume James and Cat Grant were among the ones rescued, we just didn't see them, of course they couldn't get the actors back for a cameo to be seen leaving the earth. But, I'll hope they mention some of the more significant characters being saved. Also so nice to see the Legends back, how I missed them. I literally forgot about last season, been so long. The part with Oliver was also sad. That was very heartbreaking to see. But this would affect Mia and Sara the most, both the closest to him that are here.

I forgot that 1 billion lives were saved that managed to escape Earth 38. Good job Oliver, he died with his dying breath.
I'm a bit upset that Diggle and Laurel were not part of his death moment. But, where are they and the others? One thing, I hope is Katie Cassidy has a big role in the crossover, poor thing, gets excluded from these every year, they go out of their way to have her just not be around. no excuses, this time.

Yes, we're off to a big start. Earth 38 is gone, and we lost a hero already who died with their dying breath to save 3 billion lives. A big sacrifice, otherwise, only 3 people would have been saved. I was crying in parts of this episode too. Lots of cameo appearances, and did anybody notice Gotham City from the 1989 movie, the back-drop is right out of the film.

How the earth 1 will be able to manage to feed an extra 3 million people. Of course, after Crisis, I'm guessing people will merge into one, and or only the superheroes will remember post-crisis, and to everyone else things will not be remembered, someone like Cat Grant or Alex's mother who moved to Earth 1 from Earth 38, will think this is how it has always been. I'm guessing, they'll take care of the two versions of earth 1 and 38. What will happen to Winn and Mon-El going to the future, since earth 38 has no future now? Unless they died, and Winn from Earth 1, which we met last crossover, is still around? I haven't read the Crisis Comics from the 80s, since they were out a few years before I was born. I know about them though, but what happened when the earth is overpopulated carrying billions more to another earth, when the new prime earth is formed. I'm assuming doppelgangers merged into one?

In the comic book story 5 earths existed at the end out of billions which merged together and all the doppelgangers became one.
Arrowverses version of crisis will be different but still interpret some of what happened in the comic book originally. One of the diffences will be that all universes will be destroyed with earth 1 being the only one left because that's the final one the antimatter wave will hit which is saved obviously.
Going onto my review of Supergirl's crisis crossover episode I wrote down my thoughts and Easter egg references as I watched the programme because there were so many I wouldn't have remembered them by the end.
Overall this was good setting up the event with some stand out moments like Brainy's one liners, Kara's Krypton speech, Alex and Kate been badass at the DEO during the early part plus the general interactions with the heroes too.
So earth 89 is Tim Burton's Batman universe as showcased with the cameo of Robert Whurl as Alex Knocks from the 89 film with the iconic Batman theme which I fangirled at meaning Michael Keaton's Bruce here not Joel Schumacher's Val Kilmer or George Clooney that I was pleased with.
Earth 66 the year original Batman show premiered featured Burt Ward Robin spouting an iconic line which I laughed at. Shame Adam West wasn't around to cameo with him that I heard may've happened had he did.
Was that Will Wheaton holding the sign before the dinosaur attacked on earth 38? Referring his love for comics as featured on the Big Bang Theory?
Got the Marlon Brando quote and nod to first Superman movie scene when Lois, Clark, and Alura sent Johnathan away in the pod before Argo was destroyed.
Shame that happened but like how Kara and Clark will continue on Krypton's memory and how it won't be forgotten.
Liked Oliver and Mia's moment on Lian Yu and him telling her his story.
Laughed when Sara and Ray were in the bar and lost the trivia round because Ray changed history concerning Janis Joplin. Also got the strange visitors reference from the opposing team as to when Superman first aired as a radio programme and he was called that then.
Lena although not my favourite character here was right in her assessment of how team Supergirl thought little of her since they've known her though she was written wrong here I think.
I thought the Legion ship left end of season 3 when Winn went to the 31st century with Imra and Mon-El then? Unless it came back somehow or that was another Legion ship left behind.
Did Sara forget earth X's Oliver was a fascist dictator when she said how good all Oliver's were to earth 16's Oliver? Continuality error or forgotten writing perhaps?
Good seeing Kelly use Jimmy's Guardian shield which meant he was still there even if not in person then.
Batwoman done little this episode but will do more in her own show I assume.
And never thought Oliver would die this hour but right at the end. Obviously for dramatic effect showcasing how serious the crisis is. Hope he's not resurrected not in that I hated his character but in that it'd be a cop out if he did with his death scene being for nothing.

I have a feeling this isn't actually the end of Oliver, I think he will be back.

I do think they might do that. I'm sure Smallville fans won't appreciate learning their earth is destroyed. I guess fans can just ignore the Arrowverse and pretend their show ended with Smallville, and treat their appearances as fan service and a bit of a fun cameo. Yeah, that is interesting. Since they have no future to go back too. Another thing, shouldn't Brainiac know about Crisis, being from the future. The whole Legion thing is confusing being from the future since it no longer exists now that Earth 38 is gone. Or, did Winn and the Legion's get saved. I'm also surprised, poor Kara wasn't warned in advance of this, they just sprung it on her earth at the last minute. But, I guess, Oliver and Barry haven't interacted with each other until now. Tonight's episode is a Batwoman episode. So I expect, this is when she'll meet a version of Bruce. So she'll get some focus. Of course, her show is the newest, so I can imagine how Batwoman fans only, are feeling, being introduced to this crossover after just eight episodes of her show, and being so out of the loop, when they just want to watch Batwoman/Kate.

Well worth the wait. Loved the cameos at the start, with Burt Ward going "Holy red skies of death!" And the wink with the respective Earths named after the shows and movies in question (Earth 89 for the first Batman movie, Earth 66 for the old Adam West show).
Clark beats himself up over not being able to save Argo City. Hey, Clark, Kryptonians are just as vulnerable to anti-matter. Clark and Lois named their son Jonathan. If that a tribute to the story Whatever Happened To The Man Of Tomorrow, in which they gave their son that name? Hey, Lena, get over yourself already. Kara and Alex have apologized to you many times. Stop being a baby and grow up! Of course, she does agree to help build the Stargate (sorry, I couldn't resist). Wow, Earth 38 is gone! No doubt all the regulars got off in time (were Cat Grant and James Olsen among the refugees). Speaking of which, where the heck are they going to house all these people on Earth 1? It's not like they can go home again, there home no longer exists. So we have billions of homeless refugees, some of them no doubt doppelgangers of existed Earth 1 folks. Won't it be fun sorting all that out. Mind you, they really didn't have the time to consider the ramifications here. R.I.P Oliver Queen. I guess Mia will take up his mantle now.
I think that was the general idea (same goes for the 1989 Batman movie and the 1960's show). Those were just winks at DC fans and not meant to be taken seriously.
If they ever did revive Smallville, they would probably just ignore this.
In the comics, the reason the Legion didn't know is because the Crisis was happening at the same time in all time periods. Don't try to think too hard about this, just go with it. Less headaches that way.
Yeah, Barry and Ollie have known this was coming for months now. Couldn't one of them have given Kara a heads up. She was totally blindsided here.

If another version of Oliver stepped in like earth 16 Oliver I'd be okay with that because original Oliver wouldn't be back meaning death now meant something and going back over Supergirl again he may play part in the crisis going forward.
In terms of the last 2 episodes of Arrow, I've heard number 9 will be the backstory to the Canaries spin-off series and the final episode will be Oliver's funeral featuring flashback scenes of his journey showcasing why Oliver's not alive presently in them.
There's been news floating around Jim Corrigan's Spectre will show up during the crisis who was in the comic book story and that Oliver will take over from when he dies which would be a way of bringing him back.
I was surprised also Kara wasn't informed of the crisis earlier and had better preparation in terms of earth 38.
I've read some people's Supergirl reviews with one person saying it felt more like an Arrow episode than a Supergirl one being how he featured prominently as one of the main characters and the fact he died etc when it should've shown the Supergirl cast more and had the other characters Mia, Oliver, Batwoman, Sara, and Ray in the background with each subsequent programme doing the same thing.
I don't know what people here think but I can see where the person was coming from obviously.

Well we had the second segment.
Part of which was Lex Luthor going from Earth to Earth, killing off versions of Superman. One Earth he visited was the Smallville one. Of course, when Lex saw that Smallville Clark had given up his powers, he sulked and left.
And we saw Brandon Routh back in uniform as Superman. Yes, they commented that he looked like Ray Palmer.
During the big Superman fight, you could hear the John Williams theme playing.
And how about that washed up Batman that Kate and Kara met. He had given up all that made him a hero. Of course, he wasn't the one they were meant ot find, Kate was. She just needed motivation.
Loved the scene when they were passing the crying baby around. When they got to Kate, she just went "nope!"
So they did bring Oliver back, at least his body. His soul is not back though.
And Kara is thinking of using that book to restore Earth 38.
And we see the Anti-Monitor for the first time.

I can see that, so he still has a role in the remaining four episodes. Yeah, I heard Stephen didn't film for the backdoor pilot episode, and I guess he isn't in it at all, unless it is a quite flashback or dream, for the sack of Stephen as the star of Arrow having to be in every episode.

Technically speaking the whole thing is called Crisis On Infinite Earths. instead of the usual titles for the shows.

I just finished seeing it. I was yelling yes please, in meeting Batman. Was disappointed Clark didn't get to interact with Lex enough. But maybe that will come in the future episodes. Kevin Conroy played Bruce Wayne/Batman in many animated films and TV series, Kevin Conroy has been playing Bruce Wayne/Batman for more than 20 years, longer than any other actor, technically. So this is the time he played a live-action of the character. I really enjoyed seeing the two Superman's together. Really think Ruby and Kevin had good chemistry as Bruce and Kate. The Smallville cameo was a delight. Being a Smallville fan, I'm so happy they didn't show this version of Clark and Lois die. Of course, a Clark with no powers was boring for Lex, so he left. So Oliver is brought back with the Lazarus pit, and we all know what happened to Sara when she got brought back in Arrow once before. But John, is able to help make sure, he doesn't have consequences, as Sara had, and of course, Sara knows what happened, having gone through it before. We'll have to see if he gets his soul back. It was so funny seeing Ray and Clark interact. Kara and Kate have amazing chemistry, I'm so hoping we get a Supergirl/Batwoman only crossover, that is just these two shows, without the others. A female superhero team-up. I enjoyed this one. I honestly, think I'll re-watch all five episodes and binge them at once when its done.

Hour Two of Crisis On Infinite Earths was great again.
It's so weird to hear the Batman: the Animated Series Batman voice coming out of a real person. The first time, I even know what he looked like. So Conroy's Batman is basically The Dark Knight Returns Batman.
That is just the perfect ending for Smallville Superman, And he has daughters. I'm sure fans will appreciate this kind of ending for them.
Bruce's talk with Kate. I think that that's going to turn her away from trying to kill Alice now. Batman's trophies, anybody notice Mr. Freeze's snow globe.
It's amazing how much bigger Brandon Routh is than Tyler Hoechlin. He basically towers over him. I love Tyler still, but I never noticed, just how short he is.
I really liked Kara as the paragon of hope, and she and Kate have really good chemistry. Like Dark Avenger, I really love their chemistry. Kara and Kate gonna be the new Barry/Oliver super friends when Ollie is gone, I totally see them being the new BFF's of the superheros team-ups.
And now the other shoe has dropped on Harbinger....but where is Pariah?
Also I love how they got Captain Cold for this crossover. He was the voice of the alternate Waverider

I just finished seeing it. Was disappointed Clark didn't get to interact with Lex enough. But maybe that will come in the future episodes. That will likely come after, so much going on. Yes, we have a face to a voice now. I really enjoyed seeing the two Superman's together. Yes, we all remember how that worked on Arrow when Sara came back, and John's first appearance who saved Sara's soul. We'll have to wait and see. That's true. I'm sure, you can re-watch them all this way. Reminds me, I'd love to re-watch past crossovers back to back.
