New Year's parties are for the young. At least that is how it seems. A month away. But this year I just don't even care if I'm asleep by midnight. I can make calls or returns calls to say Happy New Year in the morning, why sit up to do so after midnight. I just find New Years boring. A new year who cares. There's no excitement to party or do anything. In-fact, I was more miserable when I did go out before, it actually made my New Years Day worse than if I stayed home. It's one of my least favorite holidays now, because I don't see a point. I was miserable with thousands of people and drunks around me.
I like going out but I'm one now who doesn't like to do so on big holidays or events. I prefer going out on a normal boring day where nothing major happens and its peaceful and quiet. I enjoy myself more.
I'd actually rather go to bed early, and wake up bright and early on the 1st with a smile on my face hoping for a good year. With half the people who go out sleeping, I might go for a relaxing walk. We'll see.

Same here.
Thirty years ago, I would party and drink on New Year's Eve. However, I'm not that young man anymore.

Will also stay at home and watch the fireworks from my balcony. Just hoping it wouldn't be that cold.

Will also stay at home and watch the fireworks from my balcony. Just hoping it wouldn't be that cold. Wonderful. Why go out when you can enjoy them on your balcony and not get trampled by the crowds. That nearly happened to see watching the fireworks one time years ago in the city. I can watch it on TV. I don't particularly like huge crowds. Does my anxiety in.

Of course, Matt, you don't have to worry about it being cold

I'm going to spend it with my extended family and relax watching the fireworks on television.

I'll be spending the evening at home, drinking nothing stronger than Diet Pepsi.
I'm too old for all that partying stuff.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!
Same here too old to party. In fact I ended up falling asleep a bit before midnight. Didn't care to awaken just to say happy new year. I did do this morning when woke up.
I feel refreshed and it's so peaceful. I'm going to commit to my new years resolutions to be more healthy. Going to go for an early walk this morning for a bit that I hope will kick-start taking a walk at least every few times a week.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE! I actually had fallen asleep not long before midnight. Although I really do like that I'm not a big partier anymore, It's fun waking up early to peace and quiet because everyone is asleep sleeping off a big night. It made my new year start off nicely. Like you matt with your walk. I went for a bike ride, I hadn't done that in SO LONG! But it was nice to ride and it was so dead and I saw nobody around, so I could ride in peace and quiet.

I'm not a partier either and so don't go out and drink really. Too expensive anyway and with train strikes currently happening is always a pain trying to get back home again.
Was unwell yesterday so didn't ring in the London fireworks as I do every new year's eve with mum.
Had tried sleeping throughout the day but only got 2 hours on/off with my headache going still.
Heard fireworks blaring out around midnight as usual.
Did watch London and other fireworks displays around the world this morning on YouTube though.
Liked the tribute we did to the late queen and support of Ukraine.
My favorites in terms of production despite fireworks being the bane of my life were those done by water whether that was due to having more open space or just a bigger budget in total I don't know but Sydney, London, Dubai, and Rio De Janeiro were very good I thought.
