Won't be surprised if Holly did that. But again it's none of people's business to harass celebrities online about it. That's between them. I don't get why some fans have to bug Shannen or Holly directly with messages on social media about their feud. This is why I'm not going to draw any conclusions about Holly's response. Even if it was just damage control, the status of their friendship isn't anyone's business but theirs, and the fact that people want to make it their business is exactly why I despise social media. Things that, in the past, would've remained private now get shoved straight out into the public eye, and celebrities don't get to enjoy any sort of privacy anymore. (Luke is a hero for staying off of that shit all the way up until he died. He figured out early on how toxic those sites were and wanted no part of it. More people should follow his lead, IMO.) I agree, this is the downside of social media. If I was famous, I'd not have social media for this very reason, and want to keep my private life well private. It's so toxic. Sometimes, I miss the pre-social media days, when all we had was email and message boards like this or that messenger (forgot the name) to talk to people online. I feel like we have lost our communication in person. I see so many people on their smart phones in public all the time, and someone nearly bumped right into me, because they were on their smartphone looking at twitter because they had to see the latest tweets that was trending with a famous star.

Yes in terms of human interaction we are losing our way via social media and not actually phoning friends or relatives and talking to them or meeting in town for food and drinks, cinema, bowling or other various activities.
Families used to sit around the dinner table and talk about their day now they eat by the television or in their rooms whilst viewing their smartphones or tablets.
And I remember playing outside with my friends after school once I'd had dinner and done homework then forming bonds and attachments with them.
Social media can be good if you've lost contact with friends and family over the years and don't know their phone numbers but it can also be toxic concerning things like online trolling and cyberbullying so I'm glad someone like Luke didn't experience anything like that then.

I've seen shows about cyber bullying.
Some young people have been driven to suicide because of it.

And not forgetting grooming also another downside of social media being one of the biggest forms of abuse out there right now amongst others of course.

Sometimes I get down on my knees and thank God that this technology didn't exist when I was in high school. I had some hard times with bullies there, but I knew that, once the day was over, and I went home, I was out of their reach.
Now they can follow you home via Social Media. A few of the aforementioned suicides happened because of that.

I'm also not a fan of social media, espcially Facebook & Co. I only use what's necessary but otherwise I'm off.

I don't do social media except for message boards like this and the Cafe which I trust more and so haven't experienced anything unpleasant yet thankfully.

Yeah, boards like this can be safer.
Any troublemakers that come here are quickly dealt with.

I like message boards, as it is easy to discuss stuff here, without the word count limit. It's hard to talk about shows and movies on social media.
I'm just so glad that social media wasn't around when I was in high school. We only had message boards, email, and messenger. Social Media took off when I was already out of high school in 2006. Facebook and Twitter was still not a thing thank god then (I first heard about it in the late 00s when I was in college, it really didn't take off until about 2009/2010), I just got lucky. I was still using a floppy disk in my first year of high school in the early 2000s.
I remember playing with my friends as a kid when I was younger in the 90s. I had a completely technology-free childhood. Of course, I had a television and VHS. I'm shocked seeing young kids with Ipads or whatnot and phones. I really wished they'd be outside playing as children, but that is just how generations are now.
Social Media is okay, for catching up with friends who may live far and share photos and such. But, not to be on it 24/7.
I still value talking in person, and I still very much like to go for my bike rides and hiking always. It's a way for me to get out of the house.

Yeah, I feel the same. Though I appreciate the modern phones and all, yet still I prefer my outside time with biking and walking - when I can, naturally.

Within a few decades, that will no longer be possible.

I see this a lot as someone who works in schools, the kids all have cell phones and we're always busting them for using them in class. Some of the kids have better phones than I do, the latest model IPhone and I'm still using an IPhone 7. The kids also each get a Chromebook laptop that's supposed to be for doing work but we constantly catch them playing games on them, even though there's a firewall and the school tech department can monitor their browsing. Another downside is that the kids can't do anything with books, they don't know how to look up words in the dictionary and many have terrible handwriting and can't write in cursive. All the Chromebooks do is make the students lazy and unable to use books

We're one solar flare away from a return to the era of feudalism.

I never had tablets or laptops in senior school but computers which were used once a week in IT class. Other than that books were the norm in classrooms.
Of course social media wasn't around my teenage days nor were games installed on the computers so no-one in class was caught out.
Most schools now though have children bring their phones into reception office at the start of the day which are then collected at the end of the day.

That's a great idea.
Civilization is not gonna collapse of kids have to go without their phones for a few hours.
