Yeah, those die-hard fans of the darker Superman would freak out with a 180 change. They just need to find a way to bring him closer to the fun, loveable, goofy, and clumsy guy we all know and love, like Melinda Halliwell said. They just need new writers and producers who respect Superman enough.

Snyder tried to emulate Chris Nolan's Dark Knight series.
He failed miserably.

Snyder tried to emulate Chris Nolan's Dark Knight series.
He failed miserably. He really did. Enough that WB and the suites want nothing to do with him since. Why else would a sequel take a decade to get out. I trust they'll do it justice in a new sequel.

The DC movies that made money (such as Aquaman and Shazam!), Snyder had nothing to do with.

Perhaps that tone of person (Dark, mysterious, and broody) was popular at the time and done to suit a younger audience demographic following the success of the Dark Knight series which DC wanted to further capitalise on then.
Of course, people who read or watched Superman growing up knew Clark differently because of how was written so they expect whenever a new film, animated series or comic/book comes out it reflects on that overall.
When they see something different it's unfamiliar to them because there not used to that themselves. Also, it's natural people think of a hero as someone funny, hopeful, and loveable because that's the first thing you think of when imagining someone like Superman.
To make Cavill's Superman interesting and likeable have someone who knows Clark inside/out from reading DC Comics growing up to visiting conventions and watching past films or animated series's like with Russell Davis who was a life long fan of Doctor Who having watched the classic series himself who brought the show back in a nice respectable way treating characters how they should've unlike another person sometime down the line of course.

They should have just hired Zack to do a new Batman series way back when, his tone of movie fits that perfectly. I suppose at the time it was too soon after The Dark Knight trilogy so they went with Superman instead. Unfortunately it was clear at the time that no-one at WB saw what a jarring contrast in tone it was to have Snyder of all people do a Superman movie. The visuals in Man of Steel were good, some parts of it were pretty cool. Keep that and dump the rest and give him the script he deserves and I know Henry will deliver. Just don't screw your second chance up Warner Brothers, fool me once and all that right?

THANK GOD! He'll have a different look and feel compared to Snyders Superman.
I don't see this coming out anytime soon. It takes ages for the pre-production to kick off. I don't see this coming out for another 2-3 years.
Since it'll be about 12-13 years since Man of Steel came out. I wonder if they'll respect the passage of time. So by this point their Clark and Lois may be married. I doubt this will affect Superman and Lois. I don't see why the rumours it'll mean S&L has to be cancelled before this comes out will happen. Although by the time this film comes out, S&L will be in its fifth season, so maybe it will just end before this new film even hits the screens.

This isn't going to come out for a few years. Superman and Lois has nothing to worry about. The show might just run its course after S5 or S6, and the new Henry Superman film hasn't even hit the air yet.
I don't get why so many are freaking out it means S&L will instantly be canceled to make way for Henry's Superman.

I'm glad they're taking this new direction with Cavill's Superman because that's how the Man Of Steel should be not just some broody, angry person all the time although the character is allowed some trials and tribulations throughout his life then.
With these though Clark never lets that get him down and always stays hopeful, especially in front of people so folks fill like they can do anything they put their minds to obviously.

These movies can take lessons from Superman & Lois. They have Superman right.

Agreed. That they can. This will do much better if Henry's Superman is more like Tylers.

With a good director, that could happen.
