A clean break from Snyder.
Excellent.

I agree if DC's gonna do a new Superman film right like Kyle said then I'd much prefer they didn't rush everything and took their time getting things correct before releasing anything from the plotline to the casting and character development of the main hero obviously.
If fans leave the theatre saying, "It was worth the wait." or "That was great." then DC's done their job naturally.
Whenever I watch Chris Reeves's Superman, I always get that feel-good feeling from him because of how he portrays the Man of Steel as someone optimistic and hopeful who's a role model to adults and young people also. I route for him every time he faces villains like Non, Ursa, and Zod even though I know exactly how things end because I want Superman to overcome them of course.
That's what filmgoers want to experience when they see superhero films in cinemas with Avengers Infinity War and Endgame being two examples despite the constant shouting from people being somewhat annoying overall.
HBO Max got the right balance by casting Tyler Hoechlin as the latest small-screen Superman contrasting the light and dark sides of Clark nicely. Hopefully, they do that with Henry film wise going forward then.

Henry played the same character in a rebooted movies series.
Well, Jamie Lee Curtis did the same in the last three Halloween movies. They only acknowledged the 1978 original.

I have thus re-titled this thread to reflect that.

This is sad as DC fans won't get to see how Henry's updated Superman would've played out.
Also, Henry won't be able to play the Man of Steel closer to the comic book adaptation as it seems he would've done in this new portrayal.

Oh no! That's sad. I was looking forward to it.
Looks like we're getting yet another origin story reboot AGAIN.

Despite more misses that hits, I guess that, with the Arrowverse dead, DC will be doubling down on these movies.
Ah well, we already have a good Superman in Tyler.

Well, that didn't last long. Clearly, plans changed again. Looks like DC is wanting to do a full reboot. I'm just glad Superman and Lois decided to part ways from the dying Arrowverse when it did. Here's hoping S&L can survive a couple more years. I don't see why they'd cancel it since this new Superman reboot movie will take at least four-five years before we even see it hit screens. I'm fine. Tyler's fantastic as Superman. We'll be fine with that for now right?

Yawn, yet ANOTHER origin story re-telling incoming I suppose. Thank God we have Superman and Lois to fulfil our Superman needs. Warner Brothers are an absolute mess it seems.
