I did plan a trip to the USA this year and wanted to visit a few states, but of course, COVID-19 stopped those plans. One day I'm sure I'll do all of this. Believe me, if I won the jackpot, I'd spent most of it on traveling, and probably go on a huge 3 month vacation. Cool, what states did you want to visit? I live in New Jersey and I’ve been to New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, Florida, Georgia, California and Hawaii

Two years ago when mum and I holidayed in Lancashire we did an afternoon Beatrix Potter minibus tour of the Lake District with other people driving through the fields and stopping to take a picture at one point. We passed Coniston Water where Donald Campbell broke the water speed record in the Bluebird K4 speed boat and also saw Hill Top farm which Beatrix brought and stayed at later in life the main reason for our visit. After having afternoon tea's in the little market town nearby mum and I did a single trip on Lake Windmere included in the tour price also which was good then. Anyone visiting North England I would recommend doing something like this. I also wouldn't mind visiting the English Riviera again in Devon and viewing things I haven't seen obviously like Greenway House where Agatha Christie vacated and write some of her novels at. Mum and I have been three times before of course. The round-robin steam train, boat, and bus ride which I'd recommend to anyone visiting Devon has gone up in price so for me to do that again it would need to go down some pounds a bit. I’d love to see the rest of England, especially up North. I want to see the Yorkshire moors and dales, the Lake District and other national parks. I’d also want to see the locations in my stories and see Cornwall where my pen pal lives, she’s from Padstow.

One day it will or might be possible to take trips from Earth to Mars with case maybe. If Elon Musk can send 1 million people to Mars by 2050.
Of course, none of us will be alive, where traveling through the galaxy onto different planets is easy. But if it were, I still don't think I'd want to do that. It's bad enough travelling 23 hours to reach some places on earth, try a whole year.

Unless hyperspace travel becomes a reality.

Or such a thing as Stargates and Timelords existed who could allow multiple travellers at one time to go to into space.

"Right you are my dear now where would you like to go?

If only.
Heck it would solve the fossil fuel problem and help the environment.

Been to California before among mentioned those already. I was hoping to spend one month visiting New York, Florida, Utah and Salem/Boston. I see you have been to New York and Florida from the places I hoped to visit. So any fun stories from these locations.

I live barely half hour from New York City and have friends there, plus my family lives in Florida, Orlando and Miami. We’re currently staying with my brother in Virginia, I’ve posted pics in the My Pics thread in the Gallery section. We went to Maui on holiday and regularly go to Pennsylvania, last time we stayed at a casino hotel, Georgia was another holiday trip. He’s in the Navy and been all over, we visited him in San Diego. He’s been to Australia for naval maneuvers, he’s been to Darwin and Brisbane while he was stationed in Japan.

You've been all over the place. Not really, my brother’s been all over the Pacific Rim with the Navy. He was stationed in Japan for five years and has seen a lot of East Asia, the South Pacific and Australia. The furthest away Mom and I have been was Rome, but we haven’t been to Japan yet.

I was the same way until we took our first overseas trip to Ireland in 2015, before that it was going to Florida every year. Miami and Orlando aren't exotic if one goes there every year to visit grandparents. But Florida is a good place to meet interesting people, southwest Florida attracts a lot of German tourists and we've encountered Germans traveling in big family groups where they make a camp on the beach

Yeah, me too. But I wanna go to Sweden as well. As an ABBA fan, naturally.
