That's the good thing about our series. None of these pesky strikes getting in the way.
Guess you've all seen that my stuff is in Season Ten, a decade ahead. The reason is that I'm better at writing original stuff, rather then re-writing actual episodes, so I decided to set my stuff far in the future, as to not to step on any of your toes.

That really is a good thing, we don't have to worry about the strikes or actors being unavailable for episodes. I have noticed, and I think that is actually good. It will allow you to do your own thing setting it a decade ahead, and us rewrite the actual episodes and we'll eventually catch up to you. Perfect!

And we know that Jo survives until S10, as she was just in the Jack The Ripper episode.
And while I wrote Charlie's last story, you lot are writing her first ones.

Perfect! Sounds good to me, we'll get to first the first ones and work towards then.

***this was moved here from the Bruce Campbell was originally asked to play John thread***
Me too, who knows, we could cast him for our SDOW in a role, if we'd like.

I associate Bruce Campbell mostly as having played Autolycus in Hercules and Xena and Ash Williams from the evil dead series barring the cameos he did in Sam Raimi's Spider Man film and playing Agent Jackman in Charmed otherwise with JDM being John Winchester but interesting hearing this though obviously.
Yes we could have Bruce turn up in SDOW through some form or another whether it be a serious role or comedic one either poking fun at his film roles say playing a character like Ash but not named that but something different with people going. "Oh he's like Ash but not named him then." or Bruce's character could be a retired down on his luck actor who made popular B horror movies back in the 80's that discovers the supernatural through meeting Sam and Dean dismissing that not being real first until something comes for him which changes is mind naturally.

Anyway, you all may notice that my episodes tend to be stand alone ones. The reason being is that I don't want to get bogged down in the backstory, especially since a lot of said backstory hasn't been written yet.

As people say each to their own Tim and some don't liked being bogged down with stuff they dislike and prefer coming up with their own things then.

Now that could be a good idea. Perhaps instead of having Samuel Campbell (Mary's dad) being resurrected, it's him who is part of the S6 storyline with the Campbell clan and he is Mary's brother, or maybe John did have a brother who was a hunter, either could work. And that's fine with me, if you keep doing that, and we take care of the backstory and work our way from S1 onwards.

One thing I disliked was those annoying "Then" things. I can understand if it reflected something that happened years back, but not events from a week before. My memory isn't that bad!
Of the episodes I've written to date, only Return To Oz would have needed a "Then", and just to reflect the original Oz episode that I was writing the sequel to. However, The Defrocked One and Hell Ripper are both stand alone stories, and neither would need that "Then" shtick.

We can certainly leave the THEN bits out only using that if a sequel to an earlier storyline or character came around seasons later.

I agree.
That is the proper way to use it. We don't need it for events of the previous week though.

Me too, The Then recaps works wonderfully if you are recapping the previous season, if they insist on a 1-2 minute recap of the last season. Otherwise, no need to show them, and I find they spoil stuff, you know who is going to return or appear if you suddenly see a character who hasn't been shown in years show up in the Then bits.

That actually is a pretty neat idea to have Bruce Campell play Mary's brother, or even John's long lost brother. I like that than resurrecting Samuel Campbell.

That's what I would use it for. In the opening episode of the latest season.
