Thanks guys.
Because the villains were human Jody didn't learn about the supernatural but has now become more suspicious of Sam and Dean.
Had the kidnappers been the other yes Donna and Jody may've learnt about that side of things.
Of course most people became hunters after tragic things happened to them i.e. friends or relatives dying so that could be an occuring theme with American hunters maybe which someone mentions during conversation some point obviously.

Jody is not yet the ally she will one day become.

Loved the take on the Benders. Excellent episode. Was hoping you'd write it as you had great ideas for it in our discussions.
Makes perfect sense Jody and Donna are still in the dark as they are humans the Benders.
I love Donna working where Jody does. Good idea.

Working on finishing off the season. I have two press releases here written. Only one more to go, the last episode of season 1.
Lots going on, and the fates of Jim and Caleb are dealt with, but at least as we discussed unlike the canon SPN season 1, we got to meet and see these guys a number of times in season 1.
Missouri has a part, and I gave the Roadhouse crew their own story so Dean and Sam can go to rescue John like the original. I did read online that the script for Devil's Trap went through many different versions, some where it is Dean or Sam who are taken by the demons. I stuck to canon with John who goes missing.
You'll notice it is Missouri who helps them Sam and Dean exorcising the demon out of Meg, since we talked about Meg being saved, I kept her alive, of course, now the demon inside of Meg can find a new host in season 2 or beyond. I've kept the real Meg alive here, so she may or may not be the innocent they saved who is killed much later when Crowley goes after past people saved, or not.
And Bobby and Ash are captured by someone else, who I added, as it gives the Roadhouse crew their own storyline, while letting Dean and Sam deal with finding John and Yellow Eyes.

Nice that Meg was saved. I've always wondered, was Meg the name of the demon or the human host?
The season finale is next, right?

Nice that Meg got saved.
I liked the story with the Roadhouse crew and the Hellspawn is back.
Its fun that Smoking Man from the X Files William B Davis has a role as a demon here. Not just a cameo like canon. I enjoyed his inclusion as one of the demons.
Makes sense Missouri found Jim.
One more to go. Looking forward to the season finale Dark Avenger.

I liked that she got saved, too. I believe it's the human host name. Funny we never did know what the demons real name was I think. Yup. One more to go.

Great job. I just finished reading your press release. Loved Jody and Donna. I agree it didn't feel like it was time they found out since the villains were humans. Like was mentioned before. Perhaps Jody finds out when her son and husband die.

'Salvation' felt more real with Caleb and Jim's death's because we'd fleshed out the characters actually getting to know them which I was thought better then.
Sam's pain and anger was felt and I liked Ellen and Jo working with the boys too obviously.
The slight changes in 'Devil's Trap' like original Meg not dying and seeing the supporting characters including the hint of Rufus who Missouri mentions to send Meg to before she sees her sister were good.
I liked the twist with Ash possessed by the hellspawn that took over Bill. Poor Jo and Ellen.
And yes Meg was the real name of the girl the demon possessed who had the surname Masters and came from Andover Massachusetts.
This was found out in the 'Rising Of The Witnesses' episode season 4 when she overtaken coming home from college and her sister commited suicide after identifying her body post 'Devil's Trap'.

Salvation' really was a fun episode, John sharing all the info at the roadhouse with everyone. I really got chills when Jim died, especially Missouri finding him. It felt more real because as Melinda Halliwell said, we fleshed out his and Caleb's characters. Same with Caleb. I really liked seeing Ellen and Jo working with the boys of course. 'Devil's Trap' (part 1) was also very fun. I liked Missouri being the one to help them with saving Meg, since of course Ash and Bobby were missing, and the real Meg didn't die. Loved the first hint of Rufus, who as we know in canon retired and came out of retirement in season 4 or 5. I enjoyed the twist with Ash possessed by the hellspawn that took over Bill, but poor Ellen and Jo. Really can't wait to see where that goes in the season finale and part 2.

Makes the impact bigger when you get to know the character.

The death of Jim and Caleb were felt as SDOW made them prominent in S1. I liked seeing Meg get saved. I didn't expect the Hellspawn to come back but at the same time it brings the season full circle. Sam, Dean and John with YED and Ellen and Jo with the Hellspawn. So it was a great idea to split the two groups up. Can't wait for the Season finale, Dark Avenger
