Character History
Angela first encountered Dean and Sam Winchester when she was investigating a series of attacks on hikers in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Angela then grilled the Winchester brothers for impersonating police officers (they had done that to get access to the crime scene). Angela then noted that she had heard of similar reports dating back over the years, about two strange men impersonating law enforcement. Baffled, Angela wanted to know just what Dean and Sam's angle was.
However, before Angela could continue her interrogation, a a humanoid figure leapt out of the forest and attacked them. Angela fired her gun at the being, but the bullets had no effect. At that point, Dean fired a flare gun at the creature, which killed it. Angela then wondered just what the hell was going on.
Dean then explained that they are dealing with a Wendigo, and possibly more than one. Dean went on to say that that all the monsters that Angela may have read about are real. And that he and Sam were the ones who took care of said monsters.
Of course, Angela had trouble dealing with this. However, the evidence spoke in or itself and she ended up helping the Winchester brothers take out the rest of the Wendigo colony.
Before leaving, Angela gave Dean and Sam her card and asked that, if they needed her help in future cases, don’t hesitate to call.
Not long after, Angela got in touch with Dean and Sam and asked to meet them at a diner. When the boys got there, Angela mentioned case right up their alley. In the summer of 1923, the whole population of Momson, a town in a remote corner of Vermont, just vanished into thin air. No explanation was ever discovered to what happened to the townsfolk.
When Dean asked Angela why this is important now, Angela replied that plans had been made to reclaim and repopulate the town and she was concerned about what might happen. Angela went on to say that her initial encounter with the Winchester brothers made her take a crash course on the occult. For this reason, Angela could not bring her concerns to mainstream Officialdom.
Upon arriving in Momson, Angela and the brothers felt that they were not alone, although the town appeared to be utterly deserted.
At this time, Dean asked Angela how she felt about finding out about the world that the Winchesters lived in. Angela replied that she found it fascinating and states that perhaps it could provide answers to cases that have baffled the FBI for decades.
Soon after, the secret of Momson is revealed, a vampire colony had moved in and turned the town. The vampires decide to kill the trio, so their existence would not be revealed to the outside world.
Moments later, Angela pulled a scroll out of one of her pockets and uttered a strange language. After which, all the vampires, crumbled to dust. When Dean asked just what the scroll is, Angela told him that the spell on it is from an ancient book of spells called the Necronomicon. Angela had managed to track down a copy and had come prepared. as she had suspected what had happened in Momson.
When asked how she had acquired her copy of the legendary book, Angela refused to say, as she was bound by a promise not to reveal her sources.
As the trio left Momson, Dean suggested that Angela get in touch with Jody Mills and the group at the Roadhouse, as they are know of the supernatural. Intrigued, Angela agreed to do so, so she could learn more about this strange new world she has found herself in.
When she arrived at the Roadhouse, Angela met Jody Mills. Jody told Angela she had been expected, as Dean had called ahead and told Jody that Angela was coming.
Angela then told Jody that all this is new to her. Angela then recounted her two adventures with Dean and Sam so far.
Angela was then introduced to Jo Harvelle and Missy Bender, each whom recounted their adventures with Dean and Sam. This gave Angela a new insight of things. Jody then told Angela about the Wayward Sisters, a group she is putting together (Jo and Missy have already agreed to join) and asked if Angela would like to join as well. Angela then told Jody that she'd give it some thought.
Angela does indeed join the Wayward Sisters and became in involved in the rescue of Missy Bender, when she was kidnapped by a vengeance seeking Pa Bender. While Sam and Dean kept Pa Bender busy outside, Angela and Jody managed to sneak into the Bender house, where they met up with Missy, who had freed herself. Missy then led Jody and Angela down to the basement, where they found a bunch of magical talismans. When Angela asked where those objects had come from, Missy revealed that the Professor had brought the objects to Pa Bender from time to time. Among those objects was the one that allowed the group to defeat Pa Bender once and for all (albeit at the cost of his life).
Soon after, Angela accompanied Jody and Missy to Hawaii, acting on information supplied by Lisa Cook (another member of the Wayward Sisters). They were there to investigate increased volcanic activity, which Lisa suspected was supernatural in nature. As it turned, the Hawaiian deity, Pele, was causing the activity. However, Pele was being controlled by someone else. In the end, the three woman managed to track that person down and convince him to return the magic gem that he had been using to control Pele. Once that was done, the volcanic activity stopped.
