They should transfer one of those girls to another class.

That's not unheard of, unfortunately.
We've had fights in senior and primary schools depending on the particular type of children and circumstances that occur.
At lunchtime, where I work we have to pry kids off one another and speak to the teacher afterwards or march them to the head teacher's office and explain what happened beforehand if the teacher's having lunch.

Which is why I would never go into teaching.

Great idea to put these girls together. Have they been in the same class from the start? Just asking out of curiosity.

I have no idea if they’ve been in the same class all year, I was only just there for the day. I have no idea who assigns kids to classrooms, it may be a computer program. But if they fight like this, they shouldn’t be in the same class. And they were fighting over a spilled drink, that was crazy

Back in GDR, we were mixed up from the first grade but stayed together till the 10th. Then it was splitted up again, yet when the wall came down, it happened earlier.

Probably was a computer program.

I’ve been in a middle school 6th grade English class the last two days and I’m glad to see the end of those kids. It’s in Hackensack which is the county seat of Bergen County and most of their schools suck, the middle school is half an old building from the 50s and half semi-new place from the 90s. These kids are little bastards, they don’t do the work and are rude, if I tell them to do their work they give me a dirty look and think it’s hilarious.
I’ve had kids pretend they don’t speak English and say bad things in Spanish, I answer them back and they’re shocked I speak Spanish. In the US, most Spanish speakers are from Latin America and people are surprised that an American can speak Spanish. They think I’m a hipster white lady and are shocked I know Spanish, too many kids think it’s funny to speak a foreign language and mock someone. Our parents told never to do that because it’s rude and the person might speak Spanish, I hate that school and the only reason to work there is because they pay well, $140 per day

Ouch. In my case they would have been more shocked. Russian, French, Polish, though not all known anymore but some phrases still - and of course, my mother tongue German. lol
Wow, that's expensive! Rude and payment? Jesus!

Actually Hackensack is one of the better paying districts, districts in Bergen County range from $130-$150 per day and the schools in Hudson County only average $100. The middle school in Hackensack is terrible and I decided to never work there again, the high school and several of the elementary schools are okay

Today was one of the odder teaching gigs I’ve had, I was in a Life Skills class at the high school. That’s a class that teaches teenagers with special needs how to do stuff like shop and use the bus, today the kids went to a supermarket to buy groceries to prepare their lunch. They made out a grocery list and we helped them find the ingredients, then we handed them money to pay for them. After lunch they watched Elemental on Disney+ until they left on the bus
