There were two mass shootings in the U.S. this weekend. Nearly 30 people are dead.
Cue the politicians and their "this must not happen again" shtick. Orange Hitler and his mooks will continue to insist that the U.S. doesn't have a gun problem, nosiree.
But we all know nothing is gonna change. All because of the scribbling of slave owners who have been dead for over 200 years now.

Yeah nothing will change Tim and people will still be killed during things like this instead of the problem being addressed and something actually being done about it.

The problem is that any gun law runs right into that 2nd Amendment, the right to bear arms.
Of course, said amendment was written in 1787, and reflects a world that is long gone. The British are NOT going to attack again, the Native Americans...well, let's not go there.
And while hunting is more or less recreational today (weekend warriors and such), in 1787, it was a necessity, you had to hunt to put food on the table.
However, it all comes down to one fact, this is not 1787, and hasn't been for more than two centuries now. The circumstances the 2nd Amendment was created for no longer exist. Therefore, it shouldn't exist anymore either.

So that amendment needs to change obviously though there would be protests from some people if they heard that might happen of course.

There have been attempts, according to Wikipedia:
The problem is that many Americans worship that Constitution of theirs and view being right up there with the Ten Commandments themselves.
The face that said Constitution was written by a bunch of slave owners is quietly hushed up. And, as I have said, it was written for the world of the 18th Century, not the 21st. Still, try telling those people that.

This is crazy! Such an old law to use only to show each American can use weapons, without a testimony or whatsoever. The NRA has more power than any other group and Trump loves them. America has to wake up here! How many more people have to be killed before anything happens?!

Yep, the NRA and others like them act like it's still 1787. And that's not gonna change anytime soon.

God, I hope you and your students are alright Vanessa? We’re all right, the kids were napping and didn’t notice anything. That’s near both my school and university so my class tonight is canceled, plus the trains aren’t running because of the shooting. The shooting is only a few streets away from my university and they’re still on lockdown. The shooters were positioned inside a corner shop and killed several cops, that’s in a dodgy part of the city and it could be gang related

And here we go again.
Does the media even bother anymore. In your country, mass shootings are becoming more and more common, unfortunately.

Yeah, just another day in the Good ‘Ol USA 🤬 This is the first time a shooting was close by, that area is only a few blocks away from my college and about 15 from the school where I work. Lucky the kids were napping or otherwise they would have been terrified, I work in a kindergarten class

The same as stabbings in the UK where another person died last week making that around 67 down from a hundred-odd 2018 and no matter how many police walk the beat or stop searches they do knife crime happens still every week then.

Yeah, just another day in the Good ‘Ol USA 🤬 Cue politicians who'll roll out the old "this must not happen" again spiel, but will do nothing.

No doubt that happens because it's not so easy to get a hold of a gun in the U.K. as it is in the U.S.
