Maybe now they will. Since Whedon has now been unmasked.

The noose tightens around Whedon's neck.
Looks like he's going down, like The Monster and Kernus before him.

I liked Charisma's first point which I'm sure will be useful for anyone out there who had a friend or relative that went through a similar experience as she did.
And I agree with her second point also as people deserve to know what some kind of men can be like so women can spot it themselves and hopefully avoid what happened to her obviously though I pray this doesn't deter young people from wanting to go into acting because of what they see or hear then.

Wow, these new developments are interesting. It seems to me that in Hollywood nothing was learned over the years, when it still happened in the 1990ies.

One thing I've always noticed about Whedon (that probably should've been a red flag) is that he seems to have a rather toxic relationship to his characters and their fans. These quotes from him pretty much sum it up: "People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy." ....
About killing off Giles: "I wanted to make all this matter and have something that would send emotional ripples through all the characters. Also, I’m a prick." ....
"Buffy in pain, story more interesting. Buffy not in pain, story not interesting." Whedon REALLY hates his characters being happy. He relishes in randomly killing off characters for no reason, and he goes out of his way to make sure that nobody ever has a lasting, happy, healthy relationship. He has openly boasted that he "gives the fans what they need, not what they want" and loves to tear down the shows he created as if he were a toddler breaking his own toys. This isn't the healthiest relationship to have with fiction, to put it lightly. It fits squarely into the long history of "auteur" directors deliberately torturing actors for the sake of being edgy and "getting a good performance." And, it definitely doesn't look good now that we know what an abusive control freak Whedon himself was behind the scenes of Buffy and Angel.

Yeah, the signs were there. Fans didn't see them, or they didn't want to see them.

Not good when he brings pain to the characters and not a happy ending like maybe wanted by fans. Strange though it sounds like he has a weird view of life, so to speak.

It does Jana and that what makes me sad somewhat that programmes now or sometimes in the '90s whether written by Joss or other people can't or couldn't do without drama because that got/gets ratings. If all characters on TV series' had happy endings there'd be nothing on as people wouldn't watch them compared to the '60s, '70s, or '80s where it was about character development not which person was shot, kidnapped or what teenager got pregnant next unless you watched something like General Hospital or Days Or Lives which's a shame as although drama sells for shows to work a balance must be struck otherwise why make them if all there ever will be is misery and pain then.
A great example is addictions whether that be drugs, alcohol or gambling which are dramatic in themselves but balance happy endings when people overcome them although they can relapse anytime obviously.

Might be true that drama gets the ratings up, yet I can't believe that it'd be necessary weekly or daily in series. And yes, a character development would be very appreciated! May it be good or bad. *sighs*

Seems MeToo has unearthed a lot of skeletons. Some that were buried for decades.

Great. Then he should take a lesson in life or read a fairy tale again.

Yeah, that pretty much says it. Whedon is as much a feminist as Orange is human being.
