I liked this show, what I don't get is why Valerie and Libby were dropped in Season 4 like I get they can go when we get to the college years. Could it have hurt them to drop them once the high school years ended?
I didn't mind an episode or two in S4, but not the overall season.
Libby could be dating Brad if they wanted that witch hunter plot with him. But Dreama was just filler for Valerie, and Sabrina being her quiz master, was stupid, and she just disappeared and we never knew if she got her witch license.
You could just as easily skip S4 since S3 basically repeated the same school year from S2 again. And think of S3 as senior year, and just add that Harvey learning Sabrina is a witch scene from the end of S4, to the end of S3, and you'll not really miss out on much in S4.
The only thing I hated, was not one friend was brought in on the secret. That bugged me. Couldn't have hurt Roxie or Morgan to find out in the last season, if they lived in her house.
I'd even wished they re-introduced Libby in Season 5, and had her as Sabrina's roommate in place of Morgan. Just be cool, if they could have given her development, and had her grow as a character, and be on somewhat good terms with Sabrina. I was so bummed, and thought this is where they were going with her character before she was cut for no reason. Another thing, I hated that when someone is gone, they are gone. Couldn't have hurt them bringing back Valerie or Libby for a guest appearance in Season 5-7 at some point.

Yeah, I don't know what was going on with S4. They brought in all of these new characters out of nowhere, and none of them besides Josh survived into S5. Even the clock shop the Aunts got that season was scrapped in S5.
It seems like the show's sudden move to the WB caused many storylines to get aborted. The nonexistent ending for Dreama and hastily-written, anticlimactic ending for Brad are pretty damning evidence. ABC intended both characters to continue into S5, but once the WB took over, they had to go. S4 is 100% a filler season and can easily be skipped. (Even Sabrina's breakup with Harvey is covered pretty well in the first episode of S5.)

Wonder why that happened. I mean they were still filming in the same studio, right?
It wasn't like Supergirl moving production to Vancouver when the show jumped from CBS to the CW.

Good point, I forgot about the first episode of S5 wrapping up the break-up, so you really can skip the entire season.
I wonder what ABC would have done if they kept it, and what they'd do with those characters.
I'm glad that S5-S7, didn't really change Sabrina's friends, Roxie and Morgan were her friends for the rest of the series. I never got why they had Sabrina get a new friend so often. I wished they did bring back Libby or Valerie for the college years. Not that I didn't hate Roxie or Morgan. As for the aunts, why they got cut in S7, I did hear rumours it was budget cuts, and then they considered them giving up their powers to save Sabrina, and living as mortals in Season 7, and dealing with that. I wouldn't have minded that, if it was to limit the magic use for budget reasons.
I can appreciate that they did end the show okay, with the ending with Sabrina and Harvey. But, never understood why they didn't just Josh be the guy Sabrina wanted to marry in S7, and why waste it on a new guy. It just felt forced. At least withn Josh, it wouldn't have, even if she still picked Harvey in the end.
Wonder why that happened. I mean they were still filming in the same studio, right?
It wasn't like Supergirl moving production to Vancouver when the show jumped from CBS to the CW. Yeah, that was like Buffy, which only moved networks. I don't think they moved locations, just networks.

According to Betty, it was meant to be Josh. However, the actor quit, so they just plugged this new guy into Josh's role.
Of course, the writers no doubt always meant to end things with Sabrina choosing Harvey.

Now that makes sense, too bad he quit, as putting this new guy in the role just felt forced, but they had no choice. Season 7 again, I didn't like, they lost so much of the magic, when half the cast left including the aunts. Although, I like the earlier seasons more, I didn't mind Season 5 and Season 6. Season 4 & 7 are the seasons I don't enjoy. Season 7 looked like it would have been great if Josh, Hilda and Zelda stayed. I know I heard rumours, It was believed that if Caroline Rhea and Beth Broderick had stayed, Season Seven would have involved Hilda and Zelda giving up their powers and attempting to lead completely mortal lives. Therefore still sticking to the plot of Sabrina taking care of herself now as an adult with her own magic and also dealing with the budget cuts the show had in season 7. I'd have found this more fun than what we got. But, I guess someone out there can do a Fanfic on this set-up.

When the actor who played Josh quit, they should have dropped the whole thing, IMO.

The cast of Sabrina did an Instagram live watching the pilot and commenting on it. How cool is that. Man this cast is amazing, and you can see how much love they have.

They sure are. Maybe one of the strongest I've seen. Never have I seen a cast and crew put together their own reunion and get 100 of them to fly out all over the country that had nothing to do with getting paid for a fan event. They truly have a bond.
Lol at Caroline having internet troubles. But love how Melissa talked through her experiences shooting those scenes.

Yeah, they don't all hate each other, unlike the cast of another certain witch show.
